An estimate was given on 10/9/2012 and an installation date was established. The old windows were old and we were not open them any longer. This had us nervous. They were efficient and on time. The windows are fantastic and safe for easy escape when needed. There is a screen with each window so now ventilation can be had in the summer months. We are very happy with the windows.

EVERY THING WAS PERFECT . THE INSTALLATION WAS DONE AT A DAY AND TIME WE PICKED.

The estimator, Jim, called me and swore at me and accused me of lying. When I called the office to explain what happened they said I had not called. I just didn't expect to be sworn at and called a liar.

Barry came out and did an inspection, took measurements, discussed our options. Within a day, he had given us a quote. We opted to have the windows replaced with vinyl for cost and simplicity of upkeep. Because of the busy summer season and the time to craft the windows from Alside, we waited for the first available appointment. However, it was only 6 weeks between when we signed the contract and when the work was finished. The replacement took less than 4 hours for all 4 windows. The work was very professional, high quality, and the windows have already been a huge improvement in the fall and early winter. Overall, good experience and would definitely work with Thermalcraft again!

I originally had 14 windows installed a couple of years ago and was very happy with the entire experience. I noticed one of the windows appeared dirty, but when cleaning it realized the "dirt" was between the panes of glass. I called the company and they right away ordered a new replacement window and within 2 weeks, my window was replaced under warranty. No hassles, no charge. I don't think I've ever had a warranty claim processed so quickly and hassle free.

The response to my contacting ThermalCraft was prompt, and they were also quick to come out for the estimate. After a thorough look at the windows in need of replacement, I was provided with options and then an estimate based upon my choices. The process was efficient and extremely professional. Unfortunately the price was higher than a competitor and I went with this other company. I would definitely call ThermalCraft for consideration on future window replacement projects.

I requested quotes from three highly-rated companies from Angie's List. Thermalcraft came in as the least expensive,however we did not go with them. The owner, Jim, is the person who came out to see us. He was on-time, very knowledgeable and the most professional of the three company representatives. We had no complaints about Thermalcraft as a company but made our choice purely based on product quality. Thermalcraft's quote was for Alside Sheffield windows. The quotes I got from the other companies were for Soft-Lite Imperial LS and Marvin Ultimates. I did an extensive amount of research on all three windows and came away with an overwhelmingly-strong opinion that the Alside windows were of a lower grade/quality than the other two options. That said, they were also the cheapest of the three. But the difference between the Alside windows and the Soft-Lite windows was only a hundred dollars. While cost is definitely a factor in my decision, it's not the only one. I don't believe that the Alside windows are bad windows, but it seems like you can do better for not much more money. In summary, I was very impressed with Thermalcraft as a company. I could tell Jim has a lot of pride in his work and I appreciated that greatly. Had they offered a different window line, I'm confident they would have had my business. One final note--and something that was not unique to Thermalcraft. Most building codes have an egress requirement for upstairs bedroom windows. In other words, you have to have a window opening of a specified size (or greater) to allow someone to escape the room in case of a fire. The quote I received from two of the three companies (Thermalcraft being one) did not take this into consideration. The windows they quoted me would not have met those egress requirements. This did not ultimately factor into my decision, but I wanted to point it out so others are aware of the possible requirement (check with your town's building department) up front. In our town a building permit is required, even for replacement windows, so I expect that they would have pointed out the egress problem before any work was actually started. Overall, a positive experience with Thermalcraft--just felt that I had a slightly better option available to me.

The owner was very courteous and explained everything. He was quick and punctual. In the end we went with another vendor as we wanted a higher quality product.

On time, experienced, and completed the job with good quality

As I mentioned before this was an insurance claim repair resulting from the July 1st storm that included damage to my roof and fence which is work Thermalcraft does not preform. I opted to hire a general contractor for the ease of having one person to deal with for the multitude of work I required. However, that being said, I would not hesitate to hire Thermalcraft Inc. for any future needs.

The company president came out promptly and gave an estimate, in writing, on the spot. After all estimates were submitted, I selected this company based on their competitive price and excellent Angies List ratings. The windows, custom manufactured, came in within the promised time frame and the job was scheduled promptly thereafter. The workers arrived on time and finished the job within the expected 2 days. With a job this big, problems happen, and in this case, one window was not included and one pane was broken in transit. However, replacements were ordered immediately and were delivered and installed two weeks later. Clean up of the considerable debris was acceptable and the workers were careful not to damage the home interior or the landscaping outside. Overall, the job went well and I would recommend this company to others or use them again myself.

First and foremost, Thermalcraft showed up on the day they were scheduled to. My wife was pregnant at the time and they accommodated our schedule. Barry stopped by everyday to make sure that we were happy. He also stopped by after it was all done to, again, check that we were happy. The windows went in as planned. They cleaned up everyday after they completed their work like professionals. They were able to circumvent the challenges of working in a house with four children and a pregnant mom. I think it is also important to note that they replaced 10+ windows in 2 days while dealing with 100+ degree heat. And all of the beer in my fridge in the garage was still there. They staged everything in one spot in the garage and made minimal impact on our daily lives. Could not be happier with ThermalCraft. I would recommend them to anyone. I am so grateful that Angies List exists since I don't think I could have found such a professional and reliable provider without them. I think the best endorsement I could give is that if I moved and had to replace all of the windows in my house, I would call Barry first. And so should you.

We were quoting doors patio and front entry and everyone was coming in well over a reasonable amount. I searched Angie's List looking for reviews on recent work for patio door that was within our budget. I found Themalcraft had a lot of reviews for all of their services. So I called and made an appointment. The owner came out and was very straight forward with us. He told us what most people go with and we are like most people and have an standard size door opening and a pretty standard 2 story house. We looked through all of the catalogs and went with the standard door. When we asked about cost he was right on the money with all of the other reviews. I wanted some extra things on the door so it was a little extra. I asked how long the quote was good for and he indicated it would not really go invalid unless the price of the door changed. So I asked him to quote the front door as well. He came in well under the well known companies that offer these types of services. We decided to just do the patio door right now, but we will be doing the front door as well and we will be going with Thermalcraft. They said they were really busy because of all the great reviews they got on angie's list and that turnaround would be 5-6 weeks. It was only 4 weeks between the time we ordered it and the time the door arrived. They called me the day it arrived and scheduled a time to come out. There were two guys that came out to install the door and it only took 2.5 hours, even with some adjustments that had to be made regarding the width of the old door compared to the new door. They came up with a solution. Presented it to me and I didn't have any problems with it. So they went right to work and finished up the job quickly. I found out from my aunt who schedule an appointment for a quote that the owners best friend had passed away that weekend before. I thought, being a family owned business that there might be some down time in services and prepared to reschedule installation, but they didn't. They came out as scheduled and my business with them wasn't affected. It says a lot about a company that can handle tragedies like that with out a hick up.

Mostly very good. A couple of quibbles which kept me from giving them an A rating: (1) When Barry came to our home to take a deposit and complete the order, he told me that he'dcall me by the end of the week with the estimated date that the custom door would be delivered so that we could then schedule the installation. He didn't call, and I waited until the end of the next week to see if he would, but he never did. So I had to call him, and I did not get a reason why he didn't call nor an apology. (2) The caulking around the installed doors was a little sloppy, and I called them on it. They did come back out and did a better job, but I wouldn't say that it showed a great deal of pride in their work. Overall, however, I was happy with the work, and price was fair.

Thermalcraft responded to my request for a quote immediately. They came to the house, immediately took measurements and took me through their product. They told me that if I placed my order, delivery would occur probably within 2 weeks. I explained that my Mom would be having surgery soon and I would have to have some flexibility regarding they date of the installation. They said they would work with my schedule. The total appointment took no longer than 45 minutes. I will admit that I did not place the order immediately because I was having another company out for a quote. The other company came out the same day as Thermalcraft. Their sales pitch took a total of 2 hours for the same product! The price was about $1000.00 higher. I immediately called Thermalcraft and place the order with them. Installation took place with the 2 weeks after placement of the order. The installers were courteous, neat, and efficient. What impressed me most of all is that they are a family owned, local business who has been in the area a long time. I will be replacing more windows next year and will go directly to Thermalcraft.

The window is fantastic and the installation went perfectly. The only complaint we have is that the bay window doesn't extend out as far as we were told it would before we ordered it, meaning that it doesn't quite have the visual effect we had hoped for from the outside. However, it's a very nice looking window and overall we're very happy with it.

Wonderful company. Barry kindly came out on a Saturday to give us an estimate. We had an "Angie's Big Deal," but the price would have been excellent regardless. Everyone we dealt with at ThermalCraft was very honest, personable and easy to work with. The installation went smoothly and the new windows are great -- excellent quality and everything we wanted. It was a very positive experience and we would definitely call this company again.

They were very good and we had no problems at all. They were a good company and I would recommend them.

The new patio door makes my patio look brand new. The price, quality and workmanship were excellent. Planning on using them in the future to replace the windows.

I had Thermalcraft come out to look at a job. They were organized on the call to make the appointment, on time for the appointment, and professional on site. He quickly determined it was a job that they could not do and told me as such.

Got estimate for replacing 9 windows. Best price (3 estimates), but windows not ready for 6 weeks. I needed the windows sooner.

The guys arrived on time, were VERY quick and professional about removing our old windows. The new ones went in and fit and work beautifully. They cleaned up after themselves, advised us about waiting to begin opening or closing the windows until the fresh caulk/weather seal was dry (approximately 6 hours). The quality of the windows is top notch, yet the price was only about $200 more than an estimate I'd gotten to replace only 3 of the 5 old windows. Loved this company's service and products!

Received call and both sides started to ask questions about project and the company. Although I had specified the type of windows I wanted in my request, this company did not sell that type of window. It was vinyl only and we were looking for wood interior vinyl/aluminum clad exterior windows. So we said polite goodbyes and that was it. I rated them a C for overall and for professionalism for not taking the time to read my request and know that they couldn't fulfill it or, even worse -- and I assume they did not do this -- would be if they DID read it and figured they'd convert me over to their way of thinking and get me to buy vinyl anyway. Like I said, I don't think they did that, but it does make one wonder.
