I called them after finding them on Angie's List. I received other estimates and Thermalcraft Inc was much less in price. They completed the job in one day and cleaned up well. Everything turned out real well. We are real happy with the work that they did.

Recent heavy rain storms had water coming in through my front door. Searching Angie's List under both "weatherstripping" and "doors," I came upon this highly recommended company. When I called them and explained my problem, I was told curtly "We don't do anything like that." Maybe they shouldn't be listed under "weatherstripping," or maybe there is another term for keeping water from coming in under your door. I fear this will be another do-it-yourself project.

Thermalcraft was great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is a family owned company and everyone in the family is very honest and a pleasure to work with. Barry was our sales person and we couldn't have asked for a better sales person. We had many other companies out here and they were all very pushy and put down everyones product. Barry knew everything about his product and explained it very well. The installers that did the job were right on time, very polite and very neat. When they were finished and left there was nothing left for us to clean up. The widows are beautiful and like I said to begin with we were very very very happy with Thermalcraft.

Signed contract and deposited 33% of contract price in early April 2014. 11 weeks later, the windows were installed over three days. It was initially suppose to be installed ~6 weeks after signing the contract but due to a health issue with one of the installers, the install date was pushed back twice. Wasn't an issue for us but could see how some people might have been irritated. There were 2 installers and they both worked extremely hard. I was impressed with the end result. All the windows work flawlessly, saw that they put in insulation, and the chalking was done professionally. I would definitely use them again.

When I talked to them on the phone they were nice and explained what I was looking for. Their schedule is flexible to come and do the quote. My husband met the guy when he came out. He's knowledgeable, professional and we like the interaction.

We had Thermalcraft do six windows and a door last fall, and were so impressed with the work and the results that we called them back to do the rest of the windows on the ground floor of our aging bungalow. From the initial sales contact to the window installation and gutter replacement, the process was smooth, uneventful, professional and painless. I am very happy with their work and would use them again and recommend them without reservation.

Initial visit was great. They were on time, very knowledgeable and very accurate in measurements. Installation was also very good. The install took a full 2 days. Installers were very nice and cleaned up well after themselves. Would use ThermalCraft again to replace windows.

Thermal Craft was great, very thorough. We scheduled an initial appointment with them. They came on time. Spent almost an hour talking to us about what we wanted. Gave us a quote that day. We have been very pleased with our purchases.

We bought our home in April and knew that all the windows needed to be replaced. The day movers delivered our stuff Barry came by to do the estimate.The entire process from estimate to completion was a breeze. I was immediately impressed that Barry was able to print an estimate after measuring our windows. Everyone else had to go back to the office and email it to me. We almost didn't go with them because of timing. We wanted the windows in before mid June because family is coming to stay with us. After talking with Barry he was able to work something out for us and meet our deadline. The installation team is employed by the Thermalcraft and they do not outsource or hire unknown workers to complete their projects. That impressed my husband and me because we completed two window projects on our townhouse in the city. We knew the installers were not full time with either crew. Ron and Peter work for Thermalcraft and installed the windows. They showed up on time, cleaned up after each day and were pleasant. The project took as long as they estimated. The windows and patio doors are beautiful. I'm pleased.

Great job, on time, friendly, quality workmanship

Jim was great. He was prompt (I highly value that quality in a vendor). He listened to my lack of knowledge of windows and explained and provided a sample window as well as an option to choose from a wide range of interior colors. Unfortunately, because of my timeline, I was unable to use his services. I recommend Thernalcraft, Inc.

Good service all the way from the measure to the installation. Excellent installers, very experienced and efficient. Very happy with the price, product and install. Highly recommended.

From the very start it was great working with Barry. He was very knowledgeable and took his time to explain everything and answer all of my questions. He also helped us figure out ways to keep the price down and all of his suggestions worked out really well for us. The guys who did the work were efficient and clean and did a great job - my husband and I are very happy with the results and we have had lots of compliments from our neighbors on the new door and windows. We would definitely work with them again, no hesitation at all.

It went very well. They said what they were going to do, and they charged us what they said they weould. They were neat, and I would recommend them to anybody.

We can't say enough about how great their service was from start to finish. Our house is over 20 years old and was in desperate need of new windows. Barry was 1 of 5 different quotes that we got. The price, warranty, quality and professionalism was unmatched. That's why we ended up going with them. Barry was straight up with us about the pricing and quality. He provided us with all the information we needed to make the right decision. Once we placed the order with Thermalcraft we were informed of every step in the process in a timely manner and everything was installed as discussed. The crew was very efficient, clean and friendly. Even though it was raining for a few days that they planned to install the windows, they kept themselves busy by working out of the garage and completing what they could until the weather cleared. Overall, we were very satisfied with the process and have already recommended them to a few of our friends. We won't hesitate to call these guys again if we ever need doors/siding done.

Two employees came to install the door. They took their time and did a great job. Both doors look great and keep out the cold as promised. We plan to use Thermal Craft again.

I ordered the windows in January and they were installed in March (installed about 8 weeks after I ordered them). Every part of the process, from the bid, to the installation, went very smoothly. Jim Nelligan, the president, came out to measure and do the bid. He was very professional and was not high pressure at all. He actually measured all the windows and gave us a printed out quote with the measurements, which we loved. The price was very competitive with the other bid we got, but the Thermalcraft bid was so much more professionally done. No "today only" prices, no gimmicks, no "free installation", just a fair price without the "car buying" type experience. Exactly the kind of business I like to do - no nonsense. We signed the contract while Mr. Nelligan was still at our house. The installation was done over a 2.5 day period. The crew was extremely efficient, neat, and friendly. The crew of 2 replaced all 23 windows, of which half were on the second floor. They threw down drop cloths and vacuumed their work area when finished. The head guy even helped me reinstall one of my blinds at the end of the day since I couldn't figure out how to reattach it. I worked from home the entire time they worked and they needed none of my time - I literally opened the door in the morning and they got to work without needing any direction from me. Overall - very positive experience and I would certainly call them again in the future for doors/siding.

Crews did great work and worked very quickly. had different guys out for different jobs that they specialized in: windows, siding, gutters, doors, etc. the work took a while to complete because of weather, lots of snow and extreme cold. this was no fault of theirs though. job started over thanksgiving at 1st house and was completed in January at 2nd house. siding included new insulation on outside, tyvek and then siding. at the 2nd house with new siding and windows, thermostat is now permanently set at a lower setting. houses both look great, better than expected. employees very patient and work with you how you would like things to look. only slip up was, wrong shutters were ordered, had to wait a couple of weeks for correct ones to come in. but once they came in, crews were out and installed them right away. would definitely use again and recommend to others.

Absolutely wonderful and professional contractor! Had stated the work would take 1.5 days, but completed it 1, even though one of the installers had to leave due to a family emergency. Will definitely use them for the rest of the windows this hear. I highly recommend this family owned, family run business.

These guys are fantastic! From the moment we contacted Thermalcraft (based on Angies List reviews), we couldn't have been more pleased. Barry Nelligan came out, personally, to meet with us and give us a quote. Their quote came in thousands of $$ less than competitors, btw. It wasn't just the fantastic prices, but his professionalism and no-pressure sales approach that won us over. We decided to do half the house at a time and he completely understood. I'm telling you, NO PRESSURE. In addition, it's all family owned/run, so even the guys who came out for the installation were "their" guys...no subcontracting out. They arrived on time for installation, over the course of a day and a half. They worked so hard, on two AWFUL January days, with freezing rain. Cleaned up after themselves nicely, too. Barry even stopped in to check on the progress as they worked. We felt so bad for the awful weather conditions that they powered through, we sent the two installers home with a little gratuity and homemade cookies for their hard work :) We will have them back to do the main floor of our house, too. HIGHLY recommend. You won't be disappointed.

This was the 3rd year of a 3 year total replacement project for our apartment building. The owner personally came out to estimate the project each year. The crews were just wonderful - especially during the horrible summer heat. And, the windows are fabulous! They have saved us considerably on the cost of gas for heat in the winter. I would recommend them to anyone!

Barry Nelligan came to our home in October and gave us a very professional estimate for our whole house window replacement which he stated would be good for a period of two years. We decide to do first level only at this time. They dropped off the Oak trim for us to stain two weeks ahead of time. They do not sub out the work and the carpenter who installed our windows has been with them over twenty-five years. Very quality installation - he even used the best stained Oak pieces as they provided abundant wood. One screen came damaged from the factory, which was quickly replaced. Thermalcraft has done a lot of work in our neighborhood, Brynhaven in Elmhurst, and we have not heard of a bad experience. We will likely use them again, for not only more window replacement, but also new siding, soffit, and fascia as well. We found Thermalcraft to be well established Family business with non-pressuring salesman, quality well installed product at a fair price.

I originally met with Jim (the owner & president) for a quote in late August. I had quotes from 3 different installers, since we are eventually replacing all 11 30-year-old wood windows in our townhouse, plus our sliding patio door that had a broken seal. Jim's quote was just a bit more than the lowest bid, but his windows had several more features that I liked. Also, the lifetime warranty for the windows was transferable to the next owners of the home-a good selling point since I had explained we would be moving in the spring. The slightly lower bid would only transfer the warranty to the next owner for 10 years. The crew of 2 men showed up promptly at 8 and wanted to double check if I still wanted to go ahead that day since it was drizzling and rain was predicted for later in the afternoon. I asked if they thought they could do it and they were very positive it would be fine since the rain was so light, so they got started. One workman was very experienced (and fast!) and the other was obviously learning. However, the senior man oversaw all of the younger man's work and double-checked everything. All the work was done beautifully, including replacing a sill they found in one window that had rotted under the top sill. It began to rain in earnest just as they were finishing up the last of the windows, but they didn't bat an eye and kept going. The new sliding door opens and closes so easily, the new storm door fits perfectly and latches itself every time. Everything was cleaned up and done by 3 pm, just as they had estimated. We are having the rest of our windows done by Thermalcraft in the spring when we ready our house for sale. I would recommend Jim and his company to anyone. They did a fantastic job and I can't wait to get the rest of the project completed!
