Description of Work: Completed tuck pointing on front facade and touch up on sides of home. It looks messy and called and asked if they power washed and they said they did. There is mortar all over the brick and it looks bad. Not thrilled at all. Nice owner though, he was friendly.

Thank you for your review. Your project was extremely difficult because of the previous repairs made by the home owner. For the sale of the home to you, prior repairs where made with inferior materials and unqualified mechanic. If you would like us to re-wash the front of the home and spot repair areas, please call our office. Thank you very much for the feedback. We checked our records and the proposal was sent out in a timely manner. This review was on 6/27/2014, and we sent the proposal via email to the customer on 6/20/2014. The proposal was sent out with 300 bricks to be cut out and replaced. Under the assumption that we don’t know the underlying substrate, we are often times challenged to take our time and give the best estimate. Midland Masonry we pride ourselves on our work and reputation. Currently, we are experiencing higher than normal call volume and do our best to connect with people and prepare the best and honest proposals.

Great customer. Thanks for the review and the opportunity to come back and repair the crack that appeared. This project was challenging do to the weather. We had to return to the project less a year late to repair a crack in the concrete. This is normal when laying concrete. We use the highest quality products and a expert crew to install the concrete, cracks still form. A crack that does not form near predetermined fault lines can be repaired before they become a problem. We repaired the area in a timely manner after being made aware. Thanks for staying POSITIVE and believing in the professionals you hired. We are here whenever you need us!

Description of Work: Rude on phone. Gripped that he went to my house - I had no brick chimney. 2nd call he complained that he had to go back and gripped that he makes these | for estimates and doesn't get the job. 3rd call I left a VM begging for a written estimate -never called back. Buyer was purchasing FHA - not clear why I was treated like I was bothering him. James |Kowalski. Would never contact again

As the owner of the company, I and the rest of our team are out 6 days a week working hard to please our clients. In this case, the clients information was entered incorrectly. After visiting a neighboring property in error, we reached her to find out the client only needed the estimate to figure what she could take off the price of the home for the new buyer. She never planned on using our service, only to negotiate terms with buyer based on our proposal. In my business our contracted clients MUST come FIRST. As in other reviews by client who actually use our our services, we pride ourselves on our CONTRACTED WORK being completed safely and with the highest quality. 5-10 times a week we respond to clients only in need of us to spend our time driving to their home and writing a detailed scope of work so they can negotiate the cost off the home as a buyer or seller. I personally meet 40 new prospective clients per week, sharing our ideas on repairs and service. I was not rude to the client, rather assertive explaining how discouraging it is working with a client who never intends on using us for work. My hope is our clients will respect our time and efforts as much as we respect them. Our only bad reviews are from clients that never used our services, and wanted us to travel multiple times to a property with little or no chance in retaining the contract work. Angie's list is a great microphone for business owners and clients to sound off. Each review is an opportunity for us to get a little better at what we do. Thanks for taking the time to review. I will bring this review to all our team members and look for more opportunities to showcase the strength of our commitment to Quality, Safety, and Affordability.

Description of Work: Overall, Midland Masonry came in 2nd place out of the 6 bids I sought after a 500 sqft patio, large cement stoop w/piers and to fill a 3'x3' access hole in the crawlspace. I am confident that they also would have preformed a top notch job and hold no reservations in recomending them. man who came out to bid the job did very well and had great attention to detail. He, and his company seemed to explain in detail why and how my patio should be layed for the best appearance and longest life. He answered many questions as to pin the patio to the house, what size rebar should be used for the foundation, piers vs. post for the cement stoop, fiberglass mix, pitch/elevation issues, etc. They latter, sent an estimate that was full of details and pictures.
