I love this fan, you must get one! I contacted Jet Fan to install an attic fan. They were very responsive and promptly scheduled the work. They quoted me $699 for an attic fan and installation, which is what I paid upon completion. My appointment time was 1:00. Jeff called ahead to let me know he was on his way, and arrived on time. He was very professional and courteous. Upon arrival, Jeff checked out the attic and started the job. He was careful not to get any dirt, etc on the walls or carpeting leading up to the attic. The whole job took about 2 hours. I was very pleased with Jet Fan, and would definitely recommend them. The attic fan works to keep the attic cooler so the house can remain cooler. We live in a two story house and it was always a lot warmer upstairs than downstairs. The attic fan has drastically reduced this differential, and the upstairs is now far more comfortable in the summer. The attic fan switches on when the attic gets warmer than 96 degrees, and it is very quiet--you don't even really hear it unless you stand directly underneath the attic access panel, and even then it is quiet. (There is also an automatic switch that turns it off in case of fire so it's not moving any air around) I haven't gone through a winter with this fan in yet, but since it doesn't kick on unless it's 96 degrees in the attic, we shouldn't be losing heat because of it on a cold day. I'll update as time goes on.
