Martin Associates

We have been using James Martin Associates for 20 years now and an annual contract with James Martin Associates and they were out every week for services and then they do some special things like planting and that sort of things. They did the fall cleanup. They are very knowledgeable, very professional and crew is very good. Again over the 20 years, there are a few incidents where things weren't done exactly right or anything like that, but for the most part, they have been very professional. They are again not the least expensive, they did charge quite a bit for their services, but I think the staff is well trained, so they know their plans. They know what to do and what not to do and I have gone over specific things with them that I don't want them to do, like mow my grass in the rain or when it is wet because cuts the grass blades. So, they are the only service we have ever found so far, who really sticks to that and they will call him when it is raining and say it is raining, do you want me to come out. So, it is that kind of service. We have had other lawn services, where they do the property in 5 minutes on a ride mower and it could be pouring rain and it pulls up junks and makes my lawn muddy. So it is just that little extra understanding of what I require in my yard that I think is really what distinguishes James Martin Associates. I think they are pretty expensive compared to the average lawn service.

We chose to go with another reputable provider who did the job for a substantial amount less than Martin assoc proposed.

They are very attentive and responsive.

The workers at Martin Associates maintain my yard very well. They just do the general maintenance. They clean up after themselves. They are very timely and they generally do good work.

We met with 4 different companies for this project, and ended up going with a different landscaper (Bertog) who best met our budget and vision. However, we would certainly consider this contractor in the future. The overall experience was positive, and we appreciated being able to have them visit and give a very thorough presentation on costs, ideas and process.
