Karlock

Karl was very prompt in responding to my request for service and came out the same day to correct problems with locks. We had problems with strike plates sitting securely in door frames and doors closely properly. Karl diagnosed the problems and corrected them quickly. He also realized that our dead bolt lock wasn't extending completely and corrected that as well. He is obviously very knowledgeable in his trade and demonstrated a lot of integrity by not trying to up-sell us with new locks that we did not really need. I was grateful to him for fixing things that have been extremely annoying and are now something I can cross off my list of problems!

Karl was very prompt and arrived at our place as promised. Job completed on time.He knew his stuff and could explain us everything really well. I could tell he has lot experience.We are extremely satisfied. And would recommend Karl to others.

I left a message and Karl called back a couple hours later. I described what I was looking to have done. Even though it was late in the day on a Friday, he came right over, said the job would be no problem and got to work. About 30-45 minutes later he replaced two door handles, installed a deadbolt, and rekeyed two existing deadbolts. He had me test everything and explained everything very thoroughly. He was very professional the entire time. When completing the work he was even able to provide me a receipt to my email from his phone. I would recommend this provider.

I had to call Carl to help with a lock-out situation with my home. On the phone itself, he was quite rude. I had to get service from him, though I didnt like how he talked on the phone, because he was the only one who could come in within the hour. He said he would charge me $150 for the service - simply opening the front door to my house. I said it was too high since I had received other estimates of around $80. He said he would take $80 if paid in cash, but took credit card info for charging $100 if I cancel. He came in within 40 mins and got to work immediately. But I didnt think what he was doing was professional - he was just inserting pins and randomly moving it around, using hammer and screw driver heads to hit the lock - hoping to open it. It really seemed the same as anyone would try in order to open a lock. After trying for around 20 mins, he finally said he has to drill out the lock. So he ended up breaking the lock by drilling and hammering it. Again, nothing in what he did was methodical or "surgical". Unfortunately I didnt have the $80 in cash, only $50. So I asked him to follow me to the nearest ATM, just 2 mi away. After the I paid him $40 waiting for a change of $10 back, he just gave me $7 and immediately zoomed away. Basically he charged me $3 for gas for the 2 mi drive. I would have been fine if he told me that he was charging me for gas. But not even informing me, and then just zooming away? How pathetic is that? He didnt give me a receipt, and then he refused to show me his ID. Only gave me his card with LIC #. I would never use his service again, and I definitely would not recommend him to anyone. On hindsight I am thinking that a more professional locksmith may not have needed to drill out the lock.

Karl answered right away and while at a job. He offered to meet me at his store later in the evening and called me in route. Very knowledgable and it was a great learning experience in regard to the quality of locks.

Karl helped me get into my house at 9:30 pm on a Saturday night when I got locked out while unpacking from a new move. All the other locksmiths had a 3 hour lead time; he came within 30 minutes. Karl offered to come back the next afternoon (Sunday) to change the locks on our new home. He did not charge us a second service call charge. He provided a lot of information about a new kind of lock he could install on our home, and said he would not charge another service call fee if we chose to install them.

LOCKSMITH WAS PRETTY FAST GETTING US TAKEN CARE OF. THEY WERE THERE WHEN THEY SAID THEY WOULD BE. THEY WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL, FRIENDLY AND USED HIGH QUALITY LOCKS.
