 + -1 moreWe sold everything for a good price and some things for more than expected. There are times when it doesn't work out as well. It certainly ISNT from a lack of trying to get top dollar by the auctioneers.
Description of Work: We consigned vintage items, tools, and antique clock, and vintage quilts. They sold for an excellent price. Auctioneers always accentuate the positive of the item and also notify the bidders if they see a flaw in the item. They are honest. They have a WIDE range of bidders from store owners, small shop owners, collectors etc.

 + -1 moreAfter cleaning out our house and shed, we had some random stuff we wanted to sell (don't we all). Computer chair, book shelf, transport dolly, rugs, stroller...you get the picture. We took it all to the auction barn in Vergennes, and they sold it for us at the next auction. Couple weeks later we received a check in the mail for the sum total sale price of all of our stuff minus a percentage of commission which was very reasonable and determined by sale price range.
Description of Work: Helped sell a bunch of our extra property after some spring cleaning at their auction barn. Saved us a lot of time doing a yard sale, and we made more money than expected!

 + -1 moreI was happy with the price they brought, and their commission was minimal in comparison to what I was able to take home in a check. Each item was sold individually if possible to bring the most money. The staff was all friendly, but also serious about getting the most money for my items. I was impressed by their professionalism and how well they keep track of everyone's items there at the auction. I will definitely be using them again when I clean out another estate. The items sold well and I'll be back soon to buy some things that they were advertising as "coming up", so that's exciting!
Description of Work: I had an estate of small items and a few furniture items that I wanted to sell. The auction service answered the phone in a friendly tone, explained the process of consigning the items, and told me when I could bring them in. After bringing in my items, they set them out and photographed them to market them online and in the newspaper.

DOERR AUCTION & REALTY offers the following services: Doerr Auction & Realty, Inc has a wide range of available auction techniques to sell items. On-site auctions are best for large estates or when real estate will be also selling. On-site auctions are events for people to attend and bid, and are advertised as such. We have a weekly consignment auction where we sell the items brought to the Auction Center. We also offer online auctions, which eliminates the need to move the items from the home. We can also auction firearms, vehicles & property.
We are not allowed to sell certain specific items for which a permit is allowed. For example, we cannot sell alcohol, since we do not have a liquor license.
