My needs were met quickly and efficiently. The team was professional and informative and I would recommend Mike Poors for any tree service needs!

I first dealt with this guy two and half months ago. He came and gave me an estimate but we set no date for the work. Two months later, I contacted him to ask about the work. He sent out a guy whom I thought this guy was going to remove the trees. He arrived hours late and gave me a second, higher estimate! I told him we were going with the original estimate. He agreed and told me the trees would be removed this week. It's Friday. I contacted the boss again and he told me the trees could not be removed as agreed. I cancelled. Communicating with this company is frustrating. I have always had to initiated communication to find out what is going on. They do not follow up or give updates on anything. Considering I was going to pay them thousands of dollars for their work, I expected a higher level of customer service.

These guys may be the best in town. I received a very high level of professional attention to my trees. I value my trees very much and am willing to pay to have them cared for so they last as long as possible. Jeremy (right name?) was the lead person and he was wonderful to work with. He listened very closely to what my concerns were, and then without being pushy at all, made suggestions based on his training and experience. The whole team was top notch in every way....courteous, competent and fast. Clean-up for the job was an A+. You might have to wait 6 months to get Michael Poor but it's worth it.

Excellent! Michael is very professional and skilled. He is also very personable and knows his field! Would recommend him anytime - especially if you have big trees in hard to remove places. He has the right equipment and the experience so you don't have to worry about any property damage.

Trees were cut down and removed efficiently and quickly. Promised to return to grind out the stumps within a week or two, but disappeared and was unreachable for many months. No reply at all to telephone messages, or email - there appeared to be no administrative support at the office as no live person could be reached. Finally returned after several months to perform the stump grinding. Were very surprised as this contractor has a good reputation.

My job was not in the line of services he offers. However, he returned the call within 24 hours, was courteous, and professional. When asked, he referred me to another provider who offers the services our yard requires.

very professional - did a good job - took some time to get setup (started conversations last fall) but once he saw, quoted, he was well within time frame on when he thought he could get to it. Pricing seemed extremely high compared to tree trimmers in our area

Mike and his workers took out a large sweet gum that was in between (and very close to) to our house and our neighbor's. It had just dropped a large branch so we knew it was time to go before it did damage. They did an incredible job and it was fun to watch Mike work. They're so well equipped and experienced that it wasn't nearly as nerve racking as it could have been. They were quick, professional, and cleaned up the site incredibly well. They also took out a redbud that was on it's way out. It took a bit of phone tag to get everything lined up, but Mike always called back and was friendly and professional. Price was very reasonable, and we'd recommend him to anyone.

Mike did a great job getting the trees down and cleaning up. The logs and brush were chipped and hauled away. The yard was raked and left in good shape.

He was really good, friendly, and fun to watch. He wraps the branches, cuts them, and the truck hauls them away. He was clean, professional, safe, and quick.

He has reasonable rates, very professional and very honest. He was just an excellent job. He did a free estimate.

Everything went very smoothly. Michael was already familiar with the large tree, and had been working on it for many years with the previous property owners. The work was done quickly, and our yard was left cleaner than when he started. Michael is clearly very experienced and knowledgeable, and was very easy to deal with.

I really liked his service. I found him just because he is prominent; I see his truck in town. He seemed very trustworthy and I wanted a good service rather than shopping around for cost. He came in and did all the work in one day. He cleaned very well and there wasn't any mess left behind. They were in no way inconvenient for me and they did a nice job. Price wise I did not shop around so I cannot comment. I will use them in the future.

It only took them half a day to get it down. They were fast in terms of being in and out. I was not worried that it was going to fall on my house. The tree was very next to our house and I was not scared at all. They did a good job and their price was reasonable. They were pretty comparable. The only thing that we didn't like is that we had to call them several times to actually get them out to do it. I understand that it was a busy season, but it was frustrating to call 4 or 5 times. They showed up exactly when they said they would.

They were prompt and were efficient. They did an excellent job and cleaned up after the job. I would like them to cut their prices in half.

He's great. It was a very difficult situation. The tree was very large and close to my garage. They came in and used specialty equipment and removed the tree. They also did a great job cleaning up after themselves. He's the best. He's not the cheapest, but he's the best. They came out very quickly and they were very efficient.

It went very well. It took a little bit of phone tag to connect to set up the (free) initial consulation. Michael Poor came, evaluated our trees, and produced a proposal at the consulation (October). In November we decided to hire him for the job. At that point, he was scheduling work 8-12 weeks out. I expressed concern about waiting that long and said that I had hoped to get the job done before the end of the year. He understood and when an opening occurred in his schedule in early December, called to see if we wanted him to come the next day. The tree removal and trimming were done very efficiently and safely by Michael and one other man. All debris was hauled away. He returned the following week to grind the stump. There is other tree work we decided to put on hold for now; we intend to call Michael Poor to do that work when the time comes.

I left a message about the proposed work on his answering machine. He called me back the same day, and came out the next day to give me a bid: $2500. He said it would be about 2 months before he could perform the work, and I agreed t o the bid and the timing. However, he found a hole in his schedule, and came out within a week. He arrived at 9:00 and the job was done and cleaned up by 11:15. It was a well-organized, impressive display of professional competence. He used safety equipment and careful procedures. He also went along with my request to leave a very high trunk standing, for the benefit of wildlife. I would definitely call Mike Poor if you have a tree in a hard-to-get-at location, if you have a huge old tree to deal with, or if you simply want to hire an arborist who knows what he is doing..

Called MULTIPLE times before getting a commitment; took months (literally). When he finally agreed to do the job, he came quickly and on time, and quickly removed two large trees near house. Assistant failed to complete the job and cut downed wood to 24" lengths as agreed: I was left to do that part of the job myself (non-trivial for a 70 year old). I was generally satisfied with his attitulde, his work, his equipment, and the final result; the clean-up left something to be desired, tho.

Both jobs went very smoothly and met out expectations.

Michael is an extremely nice, warm person. When we interacted, he was responsive and didn't seem rushed. Once he agreed to a job, he responded quickly and did an excellent job. He left the site very clean afterward -- cleaned up all the branches and other debris. He definitely knows how to deal with trees. We had a problem when the root of the tree removed wasn't ground out enough (something we'd paid for) to make room for a new tree. While it took a couple of weeks to get in touch with him, once I talked with him, someone came out the next day to make it right. The main downside to working with Michael is that he's quite busy and for some reason hasn't developed a system for more efficiently responding to customer calls. He says as much on his voice mail message but I've generally made contact with him by continuing to call him rather than waiting for him to return my call. Once the contact is made, he's good to work with.
