This move was arranged by phone from the West Coast. Bob Jenkins was understanding of my anxiety about this move since I would not be in Illinois to oversee the process.  He was personable, respectful, knowledgeable, and problem-solved the various details.  He explained his plan and concerns in a clear and thoughtful fashion.  He accommodated my timeline.  The price he quoted was in line with other professional movers but higher than the discount (and likely less experienced) movers.  Although Bob did not provide any written documentation such as an e-mailed bid, he honored his verbal quote and there were no surprises at the time of payment.
The family member who handled the pickup relayed that the movers called prior to arriving and were on time and that the packing went extremely well.  The movers were polite, respectful, and professional.  They were efficient and showed inordinate care in padding and shrink-wrapping the furniture prior to loading it onto the truck.  She stated that she was quite impressed by their obvious knowledge and experience and that she would unhesitatingly use them for her own moves and recommend them to her friends.
The friend at the delivery site relayed a similar experience.  Although the movers were late in arriving, they kept in phone contact so that my friend knew when to expect them.  He was impressed by their professionalism and noted how well my items were padded and prepared for transport.  He thought that they did an exceptionally good job of packing my furniture into the POD.
