Description of Work: My well pump quit on a Monday morning. I called Germantown Well Drilling, and the owner answered. He told me that he was just finishing a job nearby, and could be at my place in about 90 minutes. He arrived before that time, and checked my well pump, and said that it needed replacing. He gave me an estimate on cost and time, and I agreed. He called his son (only employee) to bring the boom truck. His son arrived and they proceeded to remove the pump. He had a new pump with him, but needed to buy more pipe, as my original piping was very rusted. They both stayed until they got the pump and piping replaced, which actually took about 5 hours total, as the well casing was very rusty, making the pump replacement more difficult. Chris (the owner) said that he wasn't leaving until we had water available again. We also learned a lot about wells from Chris and his son Ryan while they were working. They finished the job, and took the old piping and pump with them so we didn't have to dispose of it. The final cost was more, as we both hadn't planned on having to replace 84 feet of pipe. Very knowledgeable men to do the work, got to my job quickly, and would stay until the job was done. By the way, they headed out to check another well pump when they left here, and it was late afternoon, around 5:30. I would definitely call this company again if I need any well work done, and will recommend this company to anyone that asks me who to call.
