He didn't ever arrive on time and would disappear for days at a time. He would not answer calls or texts from me when I tried to inquire when he would be coming. He had numerous excuses as to why he did not show up. The job was supposed to take 3 weeks ( with a minimal amount of extra things I asked him to do, it would have maybe taken 3 and 1/12 weeks.) and on the 11th week I fired him. He installed an Epoxy finish to my basement floor and he didn't clean out the walls properly and debris blew out onto the floor when he was using a leaf blower to achieve a "marble-like" finish. It dried into the floor and sanding it did not remove it. He tried to fix it by putting another clear coat on it and put it on so thick that there were bubbles under the clear coat, after it dried, that could be moved with your finger and it just made it worse. I called the company that manufactures the product he used and they said he would have to completely take the product off the floor and start over to make it right. He refused to do that because "he didn't have the money to do it" and said I was lying about my call to the company. I was not and called them 3 times to verify. When he refused to fix his error, I had to fire him and am now out $1200 for the original floor and for a new product and many hours of labor by others I hired, to take the floor product off. Plus, when my workers tried to sand the floor, they found that the product had not even bonded to the cement as he did not prep the floor before putting it down. I am taking him to small claims court to recoup my money..
