+ 5 moreWe got some estimates, and some were terrible and some were okay, but he was the best. He's an old-school carpenter and is excellent. He does everything. He's been a contractor since he was a kid and he's 71. He listens to what you want. He knows a lot and is very knowledgeable. Both his father and grandfathers were carpenters.
Description of Work: He's doing a lot of carpentry jobs in my home. It's a huge farmhouse, and he's doing a bunch of work, restoring it. He remodeled my kitchen, and did the tile work in the kitchen and bathroom. He's done some plumbing. He built an entertainment center out of very old wood. He finishing the oak deck. He's been working here for a two months. He put in some hardware for an old 1912 sink and put in paneling from old cherry wood. He pretty much does everything. He charges by the hour, which I like better.
