The Porterhouse Technicians arrived early. They are professional and provided quality service. They answered all of my questions. I highly recommend Porterhouse to service your furnace. I will refer to them for annual inspections on my furnace. I rate them a 10+.

Shawn called to arrange the appointment promptly. On the day of service, he and his employee arrived promptly and professionally. Very polite and courteous. He pointed out a part that needed some attention and that if it was cleaned properly, it wouldn't need to be replaced....saving me money! The technician called within a short time of placing the request through Angie's List. The technician arrived at the agreed upon date & time. The job went very smoothly and was performed in a reasonable amount of time.

I purchased this deal and within 10 minutes was speaking to the technician who would come out and perform the service. He accommodated same-day service which was very impressive. We had just purchased the home last week and knew the furnace was quite old so we wanted peace of mind that it would be in safe working order for the winter. When the technicians arrived at our home they were very pleasant and went right to work. After completion they were extremely detailed and said we didn't have anything to worry about and that the unit was indeed safe. I had spoken with a different contractor previously and their immediate suggestion was to replace it asap since it was so old, and they even sent a quote over for $3,500! No thanks. When the technicians from Porterhouse came out they didn't try to sell us a new unit at all, and even said there was no point in spending the money at this time if it was still in good working order. These guys were incredibly trustworthy, and for me that's most important in a world where people try to scam you if possible. They also offered their services 24/7 and said we could contact them day or night and they would be out. I don't doubt that for a second, as they seemed 100% customer service oriented. I would not hesitate to bring them back for any of my family(or friends for that matter) heating/cooling needs. They are first class! And just in case anyone is wondering, I have NO affiliation with this company at all. This is the first time I ever met them, but their service was nothing short of amazing so they deserve this kind of review. Thanks Shawn & Leroy! :)

Provider was on time, explained all costs in advance & offered several options for us to fix our system.

Porterhouse Heating and Cooling came to the house and performed a furnace and air conditioner maintenance check. I bought the advertised $29 offer on Angie's List. Shawn Porter and two of his workers met with my wife Jackie. They were on time (early actually) and were completely professional, not trying to upsell or talk us into maintenance we didn't need. In fact, our furnace and a/c were in much better condition than we expected, which was nice. We will be recommending his company to our neighbors, and especially the next door neighbor Bob Aspen who oversees building maintenance for our village in Matteson. This company is in Park Forest, IL, which is 10 minutes from us.

My air conditioner stopped working so I called Porterhouse heating and cooling on 9/2/14 and they were able to repair my system. The workers had to replace the outside air compressor unit. The work was done without incident. After the repair was finished the area was cleared of all debris and hauled away. The workers did a great job and I appreciated the fact that the work was done the same day I called.

After my previous A/C Company, Around the Town, stood me up for the second time, I consulted Angie's List for another company to perform the annual central air tune-up. I discovered Porterhouse who had great reviews, was located nearby, and had long office hours. I called and Shawn answered the phone immediately. I explained what I needed and stated I was an Angie's List member. He immediately told me about the special price offered to Angie's members. When I asked for their next available appointment, I was glad to discover I had called at the perfect time - they had a couple of hours before their next appointment. So they came over right away. Shawn was very professional and really took the time to service my unit as well as get the history of repairs, problems, etc. with my 32 year old unit. He had to add freon to my system since it usually leaks every year. His crew was very professional and went right to work. I was very pleased with the service I received and will definitely be calling Shawn in the Fall for my annual furnace tune-up. He has definitely gained a new customer! I would highly recommend this company!

Called Porterhouse to see what was wrong with my A/C unit. Was scheduled for service that day, and as promised, Shawn, showed up right on time. He and his assistant checked out the unit and had it running just fine. I was totally satisfied with his pleasantness, professionalism, and work ethics. If needed I will most certainly use Porterhouse Cooling again.

Company was excellent. Gave other ways of doing the job that was more economical, they also gave a discount for being Angie’s List member. I got an estimate from another company and they wanted double the amount ($600).

It was an absolute pleasure dealing with Shawn. I have been using a big name company in the past and have been looking for someone more user friendly and not inclined to always tell you that something else is needed, like freeon every time. He was quick and thorough and so polite, even concerned with locking my door when he left. I will use him in the future for all my cooling and heating needs.

I purchased a deal to have preventive maintenance performed on my A/C unit. . Shawn Porter showed up on time and went straight to work. Explained to me the details of what was working properly and what items needed adjustment. Turns out my unit was in great shape and did not require much maintenance, so Shawn cleaned the unit, checked my levels and put it through a few tests to verify that everything was working properly.
