Response from Mold Pro Chicago
Mrs. [member name removed] asked us to come out and provide mold samples. I met her husband at their home on November 10 and did a visual inspection on each level of their home, including their attic. I listened intently to Mr. [member name removed] tell me the history of water intrusion in their home, as well as areas where Mrs. [member name removed] said she smelled mold. We, together, decided to take three samples. Our incredible deal cost the [member name removed] a total of $199 for three lab samples and a visual inspection throughout their home. For clients that are not Angie's List Members, the cost would have been $375. Three days later when we received the lab report, it was clear that there was Acceptable Fungal Ecology in each area where we took samples. Mrs. [member name removed] was displeased that after lab analysis, the findings were that there was no reason for mold remediation. She said that she paid too much for the results that did not find Unacceptable levels of mold. I had offered Mrs. [member name removed] to return a second time to visually inspect while she was home. I did return and went through all the areas [member name removed] thought were pertinent. I point out one item (suit case?) in her storage area in the basement that had visible mold on it. I also pointed out that an air sample was taken in that storage room and the air quality was acceptable, so again, found no reason for remediation. Mrs. [member name removed] removed that item immediately from her home and seemed appreciative for my second visit. Then I find a rating of C that she gave Mold Pro on Angie's List. I seriously could not have done anything more to receive a better grade. Joe Cascone
