On Time, Clean, Friendly, Excellent Work!

Quote by Jim Vuko included: removal of picture window and two adjacent double hung units, installation of new bay window, trim of oak on interior, trim of vinyl exterior side and insulation around any openings before trim was installed. Unit was available in time frame estimated. Arrived on time, tarps over carpet and outer plants, everything was squared to make it even, and total clean-up including vacuuming interior. Work finished by noon. Absolutely satisfied with the everything. Did follow-up one year later to check status of installation!

Overall, we are very happy with the completed work and the quality of the windows. Our installation was set up for an early Monday morning. Unfortunately, it snowed shortly after the installation was completed, even though it took place in mid-April. However, it proved to be a good test for the insulation of the new triple-pane windows because it was quite cold and windy that day. We could already feel the difference, and felt assured that the installers added the necessary insulation that we were so sadly missing from the original construction of our condo building, as prior to that, we would have felt every draft. I'm sure we'll continue to reap the benefits of the replacement as the hot summer days approach and of course, next winter. Although we did not obtain additional quotes from other companies, we felt the price was fair for the quality of the windows and the workmanship. The company also offers free financing for one-year, which is a huge plus. The only minor complaint we have is that we felt that one of installers was trying to discourage us from completing the job that day, because of the inclement weather (windy and rainy, but not pouring). Even though we told them it was fine with us and that we would prefer to still go ahead with the installation that day, because we had to stay on schedule with other household maintenance projects, we felt that his attitude reflected his disappointment that we still pressed on to have the windows installed that day. As he was still trying to persuade us to change the installation, in the spirit of compromise, we suggested the next day as an alternate. We were told there were no available dates remaining for that week to select as an alternate. Since that was the week we had taken as vacation from our jobs, we then said that we would just need to go ahead with it that day, since they could offer no alternate within the next day or two. Having said that, the two installers were otherwise professional, did very neat and thorough work and completed the job in about six hours, and also cleaned up inside and out after the job was completed. All in all, we were very happy with our choice in Excel windows, with their overall responsiveness and would likely use them again in the future. The gentleman who came out to write up the sale and take initial measurements, and Julie at the office, were both a pleasure to work with.

Installation went extremely smooth. Installers were punctual, professional & CLEAN. Would hire this company again, from Ray the Sales Rep to the two Steve's for installation. Very up front no hidden charges, very satisfied.

Courteous installers. Very efficient and punctual. Did a good job. My greatest fear was air leak, but they used insulation around windows very well. The sales person is very courteous, not pushy and very pleasant.

Tom the installer was right on the promised time. Installation was done with a great attention to detail. And neatly and promptly.

The Excel salesman was great and showed me some sample windows. Excel did a great job. They arrived early and did a professional job. Their estimate was slightly higher, but the windows are excellent. I was very pleased with their work.

I got an estimate from Excel Windows and it fell right in my price range. They arrived exactly when they were supposed to come fit the windows. I work almost every day so we had to schedule a work date in advance. They arrived half an hour early that morning and they only took about 3 hours to complete the work. They removed the old windows and replaced them. The house was spotless when they left; if you left in the morning and came back that afternoon you wouldn't have been able to tell they were there besides the new windows.

Excel Windows responded immediately to a problem for which they had no responsibility. They were always courteous and professional. This experience is a perfect example of how a service provider who is loyal to the customer treats that customer long after the bill has been paid.

Sales staff was very professional, not over the top when it came to selling me the windows. Installers were on time and did a good job. Completed the job in two days! Only area of concern was the clean up. Could have done a better job cleaning up the work site once completed. I would give them a 3 out of 5 in regards to cleaning up.

They were fabulous from start to finish. We liked the bay window they did so much that now, a year later, we're putting a second one in. I trusted them and the windows are perfect. Every other contractor who we had come here bashed the people who had been here before, trying to explain why the other company was no good. This company was the one contractor who said they weren't going to tell us about how lousy the competition is, instead he was honest and forthright in explaining why we should chose them. They offered competitive rates, always arrived on time, and cleaned up afterwards. I could not have been happier with the work done all the way around. Their whole team has been with the company for many years and I believe this speaks for the quality and integrity of this company as well.

They were very efficient. Since I had very good credit I was able to pay it off over a period of a couple of months rather than all at once. They were very clean, after they put in the new windows they cleaned up after themselves and nobody would know that anybody had been there. We did price a few other places and they were not the cheapest and they were not the most expensive.

Came when appointment was setup for quote went over all the possible configurations including outside trim and inside framework. and the quote was exactly what it cost...no extras. Financing was arranged through Excel with Wells Fargo being the actual bank. We managed to pay off the entire amount in six months and thus incurred no interest charges, Installation crew came as requested did a nice quick and clean install. Very professional in attitude and work ethic. We were very pleased with results including lowering electr ical bill and tax credits we received.

They worked on upstairs first, took out old windows, and replaced new ones, on second day put in huge bow window and finished outside capping, looks Great! Door was put in on third day looks Great! Professionally done!

I needed to have the windows replaced on my house appoximately 22 windows and 2 patio doors. I looked into several organizations and searched angies list. I saw several very good reviews on EXCEL windows so I choose them as one of the companies to bring in for estimates I thought since EXCEL was based on the south side of the Chicago Land area, that they might have a hard time coming to our house for the estimate. But once Steve arrived I was completely suprised. Steve assured me that my location was no problem at all and from there EXCEL did quite an excellent Job. EXCEL worked around my schedule, they were always so professional and courteous, and offerred financing to fit my budget. Chris the owner assured me several times that EXCEL would take of everything, and they did. When an issue arouse between the town and how the windows needed to be placed due to easement requirements by the village, Chris stepped in and gave me a couple of options that he would cover at no expense to me!!! He worked with the manufacturer and the village to take care of the problem. Then when it came time for the installation, EXCEL was there again on time and worked around my schedule. Their installation team was ontime each morning and worked with me. They would always make sure things were cleaned up each day and that when they finished the job that I was happy with the result. The job ended up being 6 days and went very smooth I can't recommend any organization higher than EXCEL. In fact, I have decided to purchase my front door from EXCEL as well. Thanks EXCEL

They were wonderful. They did a great job. They came when they said they were going to come and they did the work exactly as they said they were going to do it. We were very, very pleased with them. Their price was quite reasonable in comparison to other quotes we received. In fact it was the lowest quote and we often worry about that but they came through. We would recommend them to anyone. They were very pleasant to deal with and they were not high pressure at all like other window replacement companies. They stuck with the price that they quoted. They did the work on time. The workmen were very nice and they cleaned up afterwards. There was very little left behind, which we appreciated. We can already tell that we are saving energy. They were very quick on their response; we actually delayed them. They arrived right on the dot, which was amazing. We were very, very impressed. It was a nice experience all the way around. We would absolutely use them again.

They did the job in about a day and a half. The windows are great and I'm saving money. I can't say enough good things about the work they did. They are just fantastic. The quality and workmanship was just perfect.

I like Excel. I think they are very professional. They have done work for me before years ago. I like how they handle the workers, how they install the windows and clean up. They are attentive to my needs so I called them again. I like the new window! I thought the price was fair, although I have not priced other people. I am going to use them again soon for doors at another home.

They are coming to install them before the end of the year.

Tony came out initially to provide a quote on new windows for the building. He was very professional and knowledgeable about the products Excel offers. He provided me with multiple choices and even had a window that he brought with to show me how they look and work. I also received two other bids from other local window companies. While Excel was in the middle on the price, I was impressed with how prepared and knowledgeable Tony was throughout his pitch. Also, I felt really good about the product he was selling. All of these factors led me to select Excel as the provider. After I gave Tony the go ahead that I was going to use Excel, he immediately had Tom (their installer) come out and take measurements. Earlier, I had explained to Tony that I really wanted the windows replaced before I moved into the building and that would occur in about a month and a half. Tony was up front with me about the time frame and said that he would do the best he can to get them rushed but it could be 4-6 weeks before they receive the windows. About 1 month after Tom came out, I received a call to schedule installation in about 3 business days. This was a great turn around time, and I really appreciated the effort they made to get the job done asap. Tom came out when he said he would with his crew and all of the windows were installed in 1 day. Again, this was better than expected because I tested positive for lead paint around the window openings which typically translates to a much longer installation process because of EPA compliance. I was very happy that everything got installed that day. Moreover, I was very satisfied that the Excel team was able to meet my projects deadline and really worked hard to do so.

There's a reason why Excel has so many good responses on "the List". I had two bow windows installed. The windows arrived just when Tony (my salesman) said. Tony was a wonderful salesman--very courteous and helpful. Brian and Tim did the install and were the utmost in caring for the inside of my home and I had virtually no clean up! The windows are stunning and all was orchestrated very, very well. You won't be sorry--so glad I had Angie's List for the best referrals. Even the owner, Chris, called to make sure all went well. What more could you ask for?! Great sales: Tony. Great install: Tim & Brian. And, with Chris at the helm, well, "good Quality" starts at the top!! They were professional and punctual. They needed a little bit more communication. But apart from that, the quality of their work was good and I was satisfied with their service.
