I recently moved into a new home and wanted to have my home theater spearkers from my previous home installed in the walls of my new basement. After finding Music Evolution on Angie's List I decided to visit their website to learn more about their services. I was able to request a quote through their website and a day after providing a pretty detailed description of what I wanted done, I received an e-mail from Tony with an itemized quote. I felt the price was fair so we set an appointment for Tony to come out 3 days later on a Saturday morning. Tony gave me a window of between 8:30 and 10am for his arrival and I was delighted when he showed up with his assistant at 8:40. Both men were very friendly and considerate to remove their wet shoes at the door. We fine tuned some of the details regarding speaker and electrical outlet placement and both men got right to work. I had most of the materials needed but when it came up that I was short a couple cables, Tony had them available for a fair price on his truck. Given I took an interest in the process, Tony was happy to explain things to me as I asked. Upon getting everything connected, he configured and calibrated my system for optimal performance and showed me things about my equipment I never knew existed. The job was completed masterfully in about 5 hours time and I wouldn't think twice about rehiring them or recommending them to family and friends in the future. This was one of my best Angie's experiences yet!!!!

I didn't end up using Music Evolution, but he did come out to my house because I forgot to cancel the appointment. His price was reasonable, and he was very accomadating. Would definitely contact him again in the future for other work.

Everything was outstanding from start to finish. We had just moved into a house and were contemplating our television and internet options, including trying to feed caable and/or ethernet cords from one floor to another. Tony came to our house and performed an assessment of our needs and the layout of our home. He was very honest with us about the poteneially high cost of hard-wiring our home and gave us good, effective suggestions about wireless options for creating internet access throughout the house. His advice saved us substantial time and expense. This left us with the task of mounting our television. Tony was extremely helpful in adivisng us on the options for which mount to purchase explaining the advantages and disadvantages of the various mounts. He even emailed us links to mounts he recommended based on our preferences and cost-sensitivity. He and his colleague performed a very nice job mounting the television and it looks great. We were very happy with his work and grateful for his konwledge and advice.

Tony arrived early along with his partner Matt. Both were polite with a professional appearance. They decided to install the bedroom TV first as it required more work. They laid drop clothes and explained their plans and quickly got to work. They suggested a height but said the ultimate decision was mine. Once the job was completed they made sure all was cleaned and that I was happy before proceeding to the downstairs TV. The downstairs TV went quicker as there was no additional electrical outlet to install. After the TV was hung they made sure I was happy and programed my remotes. Tony was also nice enough to route some speaker wire that we had not discussed and best of all did not charge extra. Tony was priced considerably less than another estimate I received and I believe the way he chose to run the wires to the downstairs TV made for a more professional install than what the other company had suggested. In summary Tony exceeded my expectations and I would not hesitate to use his services again.

I called and emailed many installers on Craigslist, Dexknows and Yelp to get an feeling of what I needed to get done with my install of my 1st ever flat panel. Let me save you some time...I did the research...use Tony and Bill from Music Evolution. The overall experience was EXCELLENT!! My job wasn't a huge one but they treated it like it was their own. They were ontime and listened to my needs and concerns before any work was started. They quickly went to work and 2.5 hrs later...PERFECTION!! It looks beautiful. Tv is spectacular..mount is of high quality, workmanship top notch!! From concealing the wires to installing the outlet, it looks like it belongs to an install in a brand new home, not my 50+ year old home. Not a nick on the wall or speck of dust anywhere. Very clean, very professional and especially very knowledgable about the whole industry. They spoke in a kind and teachable manner, not condesending as some do. They even took care of hooking up Apple TV for me at the last minute since I forgot to mention it to them until the end.....Tony took it in stride as asked if I would like it done, which involved running another HDMI cable...and minutes later it was intstalled and Bill was walking me thru the setup on screen. I would highly recommend them for any and all of your A/V needs. I am already planning my next project of a whole house sound system and I would be crazy to use anyone else.

Tony is extremely polite, professional, and obviously extremely knowledgable. Everything looks great. I'm A/V ignorant, but Tony was very patient and explained everything that needed to be done, and why certain things could not be done due to safety, codes, logistics, etc. He has a good eye for what looks good and made great recommendations. He did a lot of work for the price - the previous owners had a crazy setup with the wall and the electrical, so he had to do a little extra to make it all work. I expected to pay more for the increased labor, but the price remained as originally estimated. He also answered questions regarding other possible projects that I'd like for him to do in the future. (In the summer, Tony is going to install an outdoor wireless speaker for my mounted LED basement TV that can be viewed from the backyard through the window. He's also going to mount my electric wall fireplace). Do not hesitate to call Music Evolution, especially if you live in the South Suburbs. There seem to be very few A/V techs on here with more than a couple of reviews, which makes it hard for other techs to see any action. There was only one review of this company on AL at the time I called, but that one review was great and they're located very close to me. They also had lots of great reviews on DexKnows. With the two other techs that have many more reviews on AL, one could never remember to put me on his schedule or call me back timely, and the other was going to charge me a $200 trip charge since he's located up north and he said the work I needed wasn't enough to justify a trip south. I'm glad that those guys didn't work out because now Music Evolution is definitely my go-to for tv mounting and anything A/V. I anticipate that Music Evolution will soon have a strong presence on Angie's List. Again, I strongly recommend Music Evolution. The price was great for the work performed, and everything looks fantastic. I realize that I'm gushing - but I never met Tony or heard of this company prior to Angie's List, and I didn't receive any discount for writing this review. I'm just a very satisfied customer, and I'm all for promoting good service since subpar service seems to be the norm these days. Isn't that what Angie's List is all about? :)

I wanted to have a television mounted on my wall. I began to look around on Angie's list to see what the average prices were for premium versus basic installation. I ran across music evolution and decided to give them a call. The manager who answered the phone was very polite and knowledgeable. He answered all of my questions. He explained to me the different prices. I originally planned on getting the basic installation, which entails having the television hung and providing a wire cover for the wires. The estimate was for $175.00 and it included all necessary materials including the brackets to hang the television on. This is how this company stood apart from the others on ANGIE's LIST. Each of the other providers I called said that the materials were separate. He said that he would be here on Sunday between 1-2. He called me on Sunday at 11:00 and informed me that he would be here at 1:15. He arrived promptly with another gentlemen. The men were very professional. They took off their shoes at the door. They were neat and clean throughout the entire process. Once they got here, he explained that because my walls have crown molding through the center, basic installation was possible but it would not look the way it would normally because of the designs. We determined that premium installation was the best method. It was not much more, and it was still less than any of the other companies that I have gotten estimates from. I was more than thrilled with the work. They even moved my furniture around for me when we decided to change the location of where the television would be hung. After they finished the installation, they explained to me how to connect my television to the WIFI in my house and how to work the various apps on the internet ready television. They took all of the work out of my job.

I was getting my basement remodeled and really dropped the ball on getting the low voltage work taken care of. Tony was able to come out the very next day and scope out the work. A few days later, they ran most of the wires. They came back after the dry wall was up to finish the installation and do final testing. (Also I should note--the cost was so high because I geeked out and got the best ethernet cable and the fastest switch...my network flies!!!!!!) We had used Music Evolution a year ago to install a TV mount for us. We were very pleased with their work on that, and this--will definitely turn to them again for any future projects I have.

Went very well. This is the second time hiring Tony from Music Evolution and I can honestly say that I won't be using anyone else for my AV installation. Both times that Tony has come out, he has been very polite, professional, and knowledgeable. He took the time to explain different installation options and kept the work place very neat and clean. Tony is very prompt with communication and has excellent prices. Look no further if you want to have a simple LCD mounted or even your whole house rewired, Tony from Music Evolution is the person you want to hire!
