+ -1 moreMy driveway is filled with the dirt he had dumped there and my back yard has all the sod removed. I now have to hire a different company to come and finish the job. Meanwhile I can?t use my garage or my driveway because of the truckload of dirt that is blocking both. The owner has no integrity. He bids low and then raises the costs in the middle of the job. This is the classic BAIT AND SWITCH tactic. His web site states "...we stand behind all of our work and guarantee your satisfaction." Clearly he does not guarantee anything. I have submitted a formal complaint to the Illinois Attorney General?s Office. I am awaiting their response. Hopefully, it will lead to a refund of my $575.00
Description of Work: All Star Lawn Care was to remove all sod from my back yard and replace it with soil and grade the yard so that the landscape slopes away from the house. I signed a contract for the total cost of $1075.00 and paid $575.00 up front as required to purchase the soil. Halfway through the job, Alberto (owner/operator) told me it was more difficult than he had anticipated and asked for an additional $625.00. I told him no. He was supposed to return the next day and finish the job, but he never did. I have left him three voice messages and sent him an email. He never returned my calls or replied to my email. It has now been eight days since he started the job.
