I engaged Don Felton to install a French drain in 2020, and the work accomplished was satisfactory, which led me to recommend him to my neighbor, Paula E, for a needed crawl space sump system, for which she paid in excess of $7,000. The contract called for him to install a sump system that had an alarm to alert the homeowner if the alarm system failed, and he further agreed to create a device to activate the pump when the on switch failed. After he installed the sump pump and feed and drainage lines, he said an alarm was not currently available but when it was in stock, he would be back to install it and at the same time install the special device to activate the pump. Despite these assurances and knowing the alarm was now available, my neighbor kept calling him to finish the work she had paid for, but he never returned her calls. Finally, six months later, she got ahold of Don Felton, who refused without explanation to complete the work, and he was very abusive to this elderly lady. In short, she made a mistake in hiring him, and I am writing to alert others to take a pass on Don Felton and his Sure Dry company out of Taylorville, Illinois.

Don and his Sure Dry team were incredible. I hired them to waterproof my basement after years of dealing with annoying water. They were professional, efficient, timely, and most importantly very knowledgeable at what they do. The work was hard and messy, yet they left my basement in better condition than they found it. Even after discovering a mold issue. Within 14 days of contacting Sure Dry for a free quote, I had a fully waterproofed basement at a very good price. I cannot say enough good things about Don and his company. They were the best company I have ever hired to work on my home. I will recommend them at every opportunity I have.

Wonderful service and job well done! Don and his team were, professional, polite, and the work ethic and efficiency of the Sure Dry team are remarkable. We have a split level home with below ground rooms. When it rains really hard, there was ground water seepage downstairs. A sump pump with a battery backup was installed under the interior stairs with drainage added all around each room. Since buying my home, I have worked with many professionals and they all seem to let me down in one way or another. HOWEVER, this is one business who has not let me down! They go above and beyond to make sure their customers are satisfied. 2 different times (both were ultimately issues caused by myself, unknowingly) I have had to call for an issue with my basement. BOTH times he was able to help within a matter of hours. Again, going above and beyond what was expected! When you call and leave a message, you always get a call back in a reasonable amount of time, unlike other businesses Iâ ve worked with. I have zero complaints and am extremely impressed and happy with the work received!

If Don ever wants to stop busting concrete & digging for a living (but I hope he doesn't), he could go into business consulting on Customer Service. It's great that our basement stays dry for the first time since we moved in over 30 years ago, but what blew me away was how good he was at everything contractors aren't generally known for: *Responded immediately to request for quote. *Followed exactly when I asked him to (wanted to wait a couple of months to schedule). *Then when I was ready to start, called when he had an opening & started our project EARLY. *On site personally every day. *Started every day by telling me what they were going to do & asked if I had any questions. *Cleaned up site every day, then told me what they'd done, would do next day, & asked again if we had any questions. *His crew was very good & reflected his customer relations skills. Can't recommend him highly enough!

I called Don and left word on his machine asking him to return my call. Not only did he return my call, but he stopped by that same afternoon, assessed my basement problem, provided me with an explanation I could understand, shot me a solid estimate and set a date to make repairs the following week. He arrived on time and completed the job in two days. I now have a dry basement for the first time in thirty years. ( what a fool for waiting so long!). Don was professional, honest, personable and efficient. He cleaned up meticulously each day, and his workers were courteous and hard working. I couldnâ t have had a better experience. contacted company to install sump pump, april 14 2020. week later tried to contact don for flow-up per discussion we had after several attempts gave up and call another company to relocate pump and complete job june 24 2020

Don & his team worked so efficiently, professionally & on schedule as planned. It was a huge relief to get this work done. I ve been having water in our crawl space for some time. He was probably the 5th estimate that I received. No scare tactics were used. He was very professional & since he had so much experience dealing with this issue, he knew exactly what needed to be done.
