Window Energy Products Inc did an excellent job. They were responsive. They gave a quote, they came and did the work. They were professional, neat and clean. We were happy.

I contacted Windows Energy after researching alternatives for my skylights. Motorized shades were too expensive and regular shades would not be accessible for one of the skylights (yes, there are long poles but having used these devices at a previous home, it takes a great deal of effort to hook the mechanism to lower and raise the shade). I had the 3M films added to a large 1/2 round window and most of the south-facing windows in a previous home and it reduced glare and dramatically reduced fading. The salesman explained the various options (only one for skylights). He warned me that they may not be able to do one of the skylights and asked if I would still want to do the other; I did. For bathroom windows they do have options to obscure the view so people cannot look into the room, but my neighbor can't see in so I just opted for the regular film. Also there is an option with no metals, which uses nano-technology, that allows more light to enter while still reducing glare, UV and heat from the sun and there is less light reflected back into the room; I chose that for my transom windows. He showed me samples that demonstrated how much light enters and left samples of each of the options and told me I could decide later. I contacted Windows Energy 1-1/2 weeks after the salesman came to find out if there was a problem with the email account I gave them. They responded promptly with a quote for the 2 different options for the bathrooms/transoms. Once I got back to them with what I wanted, the appointment was set up for the following week. The two installers arrived toward the end of the time frame. I showed them the windows and they went to work immediately. They cleaned the windows thoroughly and then applied the film cutting it so that it fit the window pane perfectly. They cleaned up after themselves. They explained the windows may look cloudy due to the fact there is liquid between the film and window that needs some time to evaporate. They were polite and professional. They told me to call when there is a way to access the 2nd skylight. It is obvious which skylight has the film; the one without has a lot of glare whereas one can see the blue sky from the one that has the film. The light from the room is reflected back due to the high metal content -- one cannot see the night sky when the light is on. But I can tell the stairwell is much more comfortable (not so hot( even with only one skylight. I hope to see my electric bill go down as well for air-conditioning that area. As for the transoms, one can barely tell there is a film. Even from the outside, there is no noticeably difference. The bathrooms are now more comfortable in the afternoons given the sun doesn't heat them up as much. I would definitely recommend WIndow Energy as well as the 3M film for anyone who is trying to reduce the glare in their home, reduce fading, and trying to minimize the temperature swings in certain rooms where the sun heats them up.

The company was very responsive when we called for a quote and was very up front in explaining that installation might be some what delayed by a rush of work brought on by the preparations in downtown Chicago for the NATO meetings. The price quoted was very competitive as we did get a second quote from another company. Once we settled on install date the company had to cancel the first appointment time (with notice) but was able to install the first thing the next morning. The installers were very courteous and efficient and did what appears to us a very professional job. One suggestion we would make is that it would be helpful if they provided a care and maintenance information brochure and a copy of the 3M warranty on the material. The installers did answer what questions we had but it would be nice to have this information in black and white particularly the warranty

The sales manager was friendly although he wasn't the best about follow-ups. I had to call up the department to get him to have it scheduled. I had to collectively follow up with them instead of them following up with me. They were a bit late.

Ed Buck did a great job explaining what my options were, he also sent me samples to take a look at. He gave me an estimate over the phone 30 minutes after I gave him the job size. After shopping around extensively he had the most competitive price along with what sounded like a lot of experience. He was able to schedule me in the same week I made my decisions. The installers were about 30 minutes late but they tried calling me to let me know. Three guys finished the installation in about 90 minutes, they did a great job and cleaned up after themselves. The windows look great, you can't even tell that there is a film on them. This 3M Prestige stuff is supposed to be the Cadillac of window tints so we'll see how the furniture holds up.

MY INITIAL CALL WAS RETURNED WITHIN 3 HOURS. OWNER GAVE ME PRICE QUOTES BASED ON SIZE OF WINDOWS & SENT ME LITERATURE. APPOINTMENT WAS MADE. WORKMAN WERE ON TIME, VERY COURTEOUS AND NEAT. WORKMAN HAD COMPLETED 2 OF THE 4 WINDOWS WHEN THEY DISCOVERED DEFECTS IN THE 3M PRODUCT. THEY EXPLAINED TO ME AND TOLD ME THE OWNER WOULD CALL TO RESCHEDULE, OWNER CALLED WITHIN 2 DAYS TO RESCHEDULE. JOB WAS COMPLETED. VERY SATISFIED WITH WHOLE EXPERIENCE. I WAS GRATEFUL THE ON-SITE WORKMAN MADE THE DECISION NOT TO INSTALL DEFECTIVE MATERIAL.

A BIT DIFFICULT TO REACH BUT COMPETITIVE PRICES AND PROMPT, QUICK SERVICE AND VERY GOOD AT CLEANING UP AFTERWARDS. NO UPS AND EXTRAS, HONORED THEIR QUOTE TO THE PENNY.
