Installer did sloppy job had to call complain talked to actual owner he was very rude.. never again

They should have notified me that the plumbing needed to be moved, in order to fit the overhead flow valve.

They have a warehouse with 100's of tubs, so they could identify my tub and form a liner that would fit exactly. The sales staff never tried to influence me to buy more than I wanted to, or to upgrade my choice. They required a 20% deposit, and the rest was due at installation. The installer was pleasant and professional and cleaned up after himself. The liner has performed exactly as represented. I am EXTREMELY happy with this experience.

A nightmare. We were told this job would be completed in 1 to 2 weeks. It was started 7/5/11 and was not completed to our satisfaction until 10/15/11. (We lost 3 weeks time due to our vacation out of state.) Only 1 of the cabinets units was installed with shelves. Several drawer fronts and doors were flawed. This was a quality issue with Merilat Cabinets. One cabinet unit should have been installed with a 1/2 inch spacer between the cabinets and the wall, and wasn't. The result is the 3 drawers on that end hit a door trim and do not pull out all the way, and the other end of the cabinet is 1/2 inch short of meeting the carpet. Two 30 inch cabinets installed side-by-side were installed backwards. The doors open up against each other. The Merilat rep removed the doors and turned them 180 degrees so they open correctly. Bathroom Crafters and Merilat went back and forth about the shelves that were not installed in the 2 cabinet units. It was determined that the cabinets did not accommodate shelves, only slide out drawers, which we did not want. There would be an extra charge to us to cusom build and install shelves, even though Bathroom Crafters agreed to the shelves before we confirmed the order. We ended up accepting the drawers. Bathroom Crafters told us they "don't do handles." We purchased the hardware, and had a 3rd party cabinet repair specialist install them. Bathroom Crafters agreed to cover the installation cost, but not the $60 trip charge from the specialist. When one of the old toilets was removed, the installer caused water to leak out, which came through the ceiling below, in our dinnette. They had a painter come and re-paint the stained area to our satisfaction. Through all the problems, the owner of Bathroom Crafters wouldn't return our calls, so we ended up coordinating with Merilat and the 3rd party cabinet repair specialist. Bathroom Crafters owner, even though it is his policy to be the lead on the installs, did not communicate to us or Merilat satisfactorily, and took the approach that if he didn't hear from us or them, he assumed problems had been corrected. He was not proactive at all. Very, very poor customer service. We had a 700 square foot room with full bath added on to our house in 1994 that went smoother than this.

The salesperson who came to our home to give us an estimate, stated and wrote on the contract that we that only the bottom half of the plaster wall would be removed, and greenwood or drywall would be installed, and then the tile over the drywall. The old tile floor was supposed to be completely removed, and the new floor tile would be installed. We would have an exhaust fan installed. None all this happened. The worker who did the job put in the new bathtub without first measuring, and found that the tub was about an inch short from the batroom wall. he told us that the entire plaster wall would have to be taking down, but at an added cost of 450.00. We agreed. But then the worker only covered the upper half of the bathroom wall with drywall, rather then completely removing the plaster as agreed. The worker then told us that the exhaust fan could not be installed, because they could vent the fan thru our attic, and thru a roof vent, because it was drywalled in the attic. What the salesperson told us, and what the worker told us he could do were two different stories. What was especially annoying, is that the worker was under pressure from the the owner of the company to get the job done in one week. In fact, this is what the owner of Bath Crafters told us, that he has a 'system', and that the bathroom would be done in 5 days. We were not interested in a 'rush job', but in quality and attention to detail. The worker who did the work, including demolition, putting in new drywall, putting in the new fixtures, worked by himself for most of the time. It was only after he was falling behind did the owner send a helper for one day. The worker felt pressured the entire time to get the job done in one week. It actually took a total of 7 days. After the work was complete, we noticed that our pedestal sink was linking from the pvc pipe in back of the sink, and a leak was coming from the shower after showering. We ended up repairing that ourselves with caulking. Bath Crafters would not come out to repair the leaks themselves, but only told us over the phone on how to stop the leaks from the shower door and sink. On a positive note, the worker did do a good job on the tile work, and was punctual.

They were good. They were helpful and knowledgeable.

The person who came complained from day one he came about how much work her had to do. He was here for 3 days and he kept complaining all the time. He should have complained to his boss instead. His job was mediocre. The quality of products he put was not very good. The job he did and the result was average. The price was good. I will not use them again and I would not recommend them either.

It was a great experience. They pretty much did great overall. They took just one day to do the job and it was awesome. They were very professional and efficient and I was happy with pricing.

They were very friendly when they were there working for me. They fixed it real fast. They were very professional about the job. They had showed up on time.

I decided to go with this company after receiving quotes from 4 different bathroom remodel companies. This company was competitive in pricing, but I also got the best "vibe" off of the salesperson (Chris). Unlike many of the others, there were no games, no showbiz, no high-pressure. He talked about the company, the materials, the different options and gave me a price list and a phone number to call if I were interested. Talk about simple! Unfortunately, the actual workers were nowhere near as professional as the sales rep. The workers were messy, crude, showed up 4 hrs. late, then rushed to leave early on a Friday night. The job was sloppy with gaps and globs in the caulking and a warped shower rod that they forced into a space too small instead of cutting the rod to fit. After a few weeks and many calls to the company, I finally got them to send someone out to fix the work, but the job still looks messy and not worth what I paid.

The installer did not make any attempt to protect the bathroom carpet so I put down a cover. He had to remove our existing ceramic soap dish and did so without damaging it. He did have a problem removing the old drain and had to cut it out with a power saw. The liner was installed using lots of silicone caulk and strips of a black sealant. The ceramic soap dish was re-installed with lots of silicone caulk. After a few days I noticed the drain leaking in the crawl space. A repairman came out and fixed the leak with a rubber washer that I provided and a lot of silicone caulk.

The sales man had put down granite, instead of marble (what I wanted). I questioned him and he said don't worry. They have not done quality work. They went over the recess for the toilet paper holder and towel bar. They told me I would have to replace them myself. They say the medicine cabinet and vanity are supposed to be oak, they are oak and particle board. I mentioned that to them and they said they would change it. I told them I don't want them back until the walls are redone in marble instead of the granite. They said they can't because the contract says granite. I called the office and they had already had the walls installed before I spoke to them. I had to make 3 or 4 calls before they even returned my call. The tub surround and toilet are done fine. I would not recommend them to anyone.

Estimate was easy to obtain and clear. Work was done on time in one day as promised and cleanup was complete. The finished product was great, just what we wanted for my mother-in-law recovering from a broken hip. We were told to wait 24 hours to use the shower, and we waited 72 hours before using it, and when we did no water came out no matter what we tried it seemed as if the water had been shut off. We attempted to call the company 3 times, but it was Saturday afternoon and we got an answering machine. My husband had to crawl down into the crawl space, and ruined a new pair of jeans not to mention our Saturday with no success. Finally after an hour of sheer frustration we took the shower head apart and found a 1 1/2 inch attachment that seemed to serve no purpose ONCE REMOVED THE SHOWER WORKED. On Monday they called and were rather rude, and asked if they had to come out since we had fixed the problem- I said YES. They apologized and I asked for the boss to call He Never did.

PROBLEM RELATES ONLY TO VANITY TOPS. BOTH TOPS ORDERED IN WRONG STYLE. MISTAKE SHOULD HAVE BEEN CAUGHT BEFORE DELIVERY AND REMOVAL OF OLD TOP IN MASTER BATH. BOTH TOPS WERE REORDERED. POWDER ROOM TOP CAME IN CORRECT, MASTER BATH TOP STILL WRONG. WHEN REPORTED, I WAS TOLD IT WAS ORDERED CORRECTLY AND THEY'D CHECK WITH MANUFACTURER. THIS WAS LAST I'VE HEARD FROM THEM. EVER SINCE MY CALLS GO TO VOICE MAIL AND ARE NOT RETURNED.

The representative of this company was on-time and answered all of my questions to my satisfaction. We will probably have this company come back and do this work in 6 months or so.

Chris Northrup came to my home, gave free written estimate and explained the system, its benefits and the process. He was friendly, professional and answered all questions. Their price was half of the competition. The installation was done a few weeks later, and was completed professionally, including a great job cleaning up. They called about a week later to check on my satisfaction -- high. It is now a few months later and we are very pleased with the product. Highly recommend.

MY SALES REPRESENTATIVE, CHRIS NORTHUP, CAME TO MY HOME AND GAVE ME A FREE WRITTEN ESTIMATE. HE WAS VERY NICE AND EXPLAINED THE ENTIRE INSTALLATION SERVICE, HE LEFT ME A FOLDER AND INFORMATION. I HIRED THEM TO PERFORM THE JOB AND FOUND THEM TO BE VERY PROFESSIONAL AND INSTALLED THE BATHROOM IN A TIMELY AND PROFESSIONAL MANNER. I THEN RECEIVED A PHONE CALL FROM THE COMPANY TO ENSURE THAT THE JOB WAS INSTALLED PROPERLY AND THAT I WAS SATISFIED WITH THE INSTALLER AND THE COMPANY. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY.
