***Buyer beware Do not purchase any trees or do any landscaping with Lawnboyz We purchased 10k worth of spruce and maple trees from Lawnboyz and prepaid them in full. In turn we were told there was a 1 year warranty. 4 of those trees died. We have reached out over the last 2 months and Chad (the owner) told us to give it time. We did and finally told him we need them replaced. He then proceeded to send his vendor (a man named Gary from spruce trees direct) and wanted me to deal direct with this random guy. I paid Chad not Gary. Gary says he only warranties trees to people that take care of their trees. What?! I don’t have words Chad has been hiding (this is a trend) and finally told me he would replace them for $5000.00 Side note*** (This is the $5000.00 he came up with for a different project we paid in full for, that he says he didn’t charge enough for after the fact and asked us for it) in fact, he begged me to go to a meeting to argue with his other vendor to “help” Him collect it. He proceeded To tell me he couldn’t mKe payroll. This is not my problem as a customer to make sure he can pay his employees. I did feel bad that he is having such a hard time managing his business but that is not my Responsibility to help him collect money and then just give him money because he “needs” it Working with them is bad business. If you do choose to work with him, be prepared for the following: whining that he can’t make payroll, not finishing the work, vanishing for long periods of time (usually for a family issue) and lastly - not getting what you paid for.

Chad and his team provided a timely estimate and completed the work on time. All of the individuals were professional, skilled, and hard working. We had a couple of minor changes along the way and they adapted without issue and responded very timely. We have used them for many jobs in the past and would definetly work with them again

Paid for multiple trips to cut lawn, they came once and kept all the money. Will not return messages. Thieves!

They are very good! Great service! I would have used them last year but I had called too late in the season so they were booked. They actually started in HS and are now in their mid-30s so they are a very reputable, successful business.

They were reliable for weekly mowing. The fertilization/weed killing chemicals were ineffective. Weeds, crabgrass, and other lawn problems were prevalent under their watch. Bed maintenance and weeding was inconsistent. LawnBOYZ owners were UNRESPONSIVE. Repeatedly ignoring messages and calls. Scheduled appointments were missed WITHOUT calling or messaging.

lawnboyZ provides no services for us and we would not want them too. make up your own mind on whether you would use them-- lawnboyZ has been illegally operating a commercial business out of a residential property for years. the only way they were found out was when a neighbor noticed a 55 foot trailer truck pulling out of the property and noticed Illegal dumping happening on the property. kane County, which has been sleeping on the job, was notified and is now in the process of either fining them for their illegal activities or will allow them to apply to change zoning on the property from residential to commercial. (Basically a slap on the wrist for years of illegal activity on the property).

Chad came out and gave us some great advice and ideas to clean up our front facade and move some huge arbor vitae. His crew came out a couple weeks later, planted a large tree, moved the six large plants to our back yard and performed spring cleaning and mulched our beds. The crew took extreme care with the bobcat to leave no tracks in our front lawn. I highly recommend LawnBoyZ!
