I asked twice via email for pricing and finally decided to give up and sent a final email asking them not to bother, since after two weeks I had yet to receive pricing and information on the matreials to be used.

They did my deck. They were wonderful. That was a very good experience with them. They were very prompt, what they did was very excellent.

Super Job! Very professional team of 2 men that completed the work in 1/2 day ( 5 hours), including set-up and clean-up.. House and surrounding area was protected with a tarp. Deck is 20 x 16, and pergola covers half of the deck (10 x 16). The guys even got on top of the pergola to stain the top ( Deck Solutions was the only company that offered to climb up on top of the pergola to stain). I'm very satisfied wit Deck Solutions! Thanks

Existing deck was on 16" centers and they dad to go to 12" centers for diagonal layout. Crew was very friendly and worked hard. Deck looks great.

I went to work, came home and it was done! This same company has painted my deck in the past, so I was confident that I did not need to be home. Not one speck of paint on house or surrounding brickwork. My only quibble - and this is my own fault, is that I don't like the color I picked the first time, so I changed it the second time. And I don't like this one either. Next time I will ask Deck Solutions to come out paint a swatch before we paint the whole thing. It's really hard to tell from a little booklet. Paint is holding up well despite being shoveled to death this winter!

Washing went well. However, the weather and temperature did not cooperate to where Chris thought they could do a proper sealing. We decided to wait until Spring of 2014 to resume and have the sealing done. They could have just gone ahead and done a job that would have been compromised by bad weather but they did not.

They were good. They did what they needed to do.

Not the most war a nod friendly guy on the phone, and I had to call and ask twice (when I didn't hear back) so I felt a little like I had to pursue them, but, I needed my deck done and I didn't know of anyone else. But, they did an awesome job!!!!!! They stripped my terrible deck to the wood, hand sanded it all the way down, and did a beautiful stain job. The owner knew why my deck looked awful, recommended the correct products, and it looks good for the first time Ever!

They cleaned and sealed deck and pergola with Semi Transparent deck stain. They power washed the deck and pergola and then set up a day, weather permitting, and came back to stain the deck. They did a great job as the deck and pergola look brand new. They even repaired a wooden flower box that was on the deck that needed repair. They did a great job and we are very satisfied with their work and how our deck looks.

Wash,strip and stain deck surface, replaced and stained raÃ?l and installed new gate. Took considerably longer due to weather but was contacted regarding progress and when they would return.

Chris and Dan were great to work with on our project. The finished product (new deck railing) looks great. We feel comfortable sitting on our deck knowing that the new railing is secure and well-built. We love the ledge that was built on top of the railing. Would recommend working with this company again as they were very professional.

I bought the deal for the above work for $649.00. They did an excellant job! My deck hasn't been painted/seal coated in about 5 years and was looking quite dingy. After the initial stripping of old seal coating the wood looked brand new! I'm very pleased with the outcome. I will definately hire this company again for maintenance. Thanks for a great job!

The work was performed on an Angie's List special deal coupon. The price I paid for the work was heavily discounted. Each person I dealt with was very pleasant, professional, and helpful. The initial response time was excellent, but it took a bit longer than expected between the initial power wash and the subsequent sanding and painting. My deck had been previously painted with semi-transparent stain, so was informed that the penetrating wood treatment, part of the coupon package, could not be performed on my deck prior to application of stain. Consequently, a stain could not be used, and the deck was painted with 2 coats of deck paint in color of my choice after the power wash and sanding. The workmen did an excellent job, and left a bottle of the deck paint with me for use if the deck were scratched or damaged in the future. Was also informed that any deck service in the future would be discounted. I have no complaints and would recommend this company to a friend.

We had purchased a big deal for the service, and it was great. The experience was absolutely positive. They were on the ball. The attention to detail was amazing. They sent out a guy to do the estimate, and the thing that happened was, I called them out, and I fell down and broke my elbow that night. When the guy came to do the estimates, we covered some of the problems on the deck, and his notes were so good, that when they came to do the actual job, I was not on site, but they knew exactly what to fix, and how to repair exactly what was going on.

They contacted me to let me know each time that they would be at my home to perform each process in the deck refinishing. They were prompt and courteous. The deck's previous finish was well worn and flaking. Because of the previous finish, they had to use a solid stain (I was hoping for a clear stain so that the wood grain would show through). To my surprise, I can actually see the wood grain even with the solid stain. The finished deck looks much better than I had anticipated. I highly recommend this company to anyone looking to have their deck refinished.

I purchased an Angie's Big Deal for Deck restoration. We recently bought a house with a fairly large deck (940 sq ft). The deck was in need of some restoration. I spoke with Dan on the phone about the project. He was able to send someone over within a few days to measure the deck and give me an estimate to build a gate that would match the deck, clean, sand and repaint the deck. Given the size of the deck I found the price very reasonable. They first built a beautiful gate that matched the current fencing around the deck perfectly! Then they did a power wash of the deck. This step alone improved the look of the deck! We had to wait for about a week for the deck to dry because there was a good deal of rainy weather in the forecast. But as soon as we had a few dry days and more dry days in the forecast, Dan called me and let me know that his staff would be able to come sand and paint the deck. All of the different staff members that worked on the project were professional, polite and did a fabulous job! The deck looks brand new again!! The previous owners had painted the deck a very dark brown. Deck Solutions was able to repaint the deck a beautiful Cedar color that completely hid the old paint. It took a lot of effort to cover that old paint, but they made sure that there was no hint of the dark color at all! The men that painted the deck showed me the deck and it was clear that they had pride in their work. I would definitely hire them again. They said this restoration should last for at least two years on the floors and 3 or 4 years for the fencing around the deck. I will certainly call them when it is time to touch up the deck in two - three years.

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for this service and the experience was very good. They came earlier than I thought they were going to come. The weather was good so they were able to power wash the deck. After it dried for a couple of days they stained it and it looks good. They were very professional, polite and answered any questions I had. I called to ask them how soon I could put my deck furniture on it and they answered me right away. I was not pressured to buy a yearly contract; they just gave me a price and I thought they were very nice.

Overall, my experience with them was okay. On their first time here, they didn't do a really great job, so there was a lot of things that's needed to be added. They came and did it. It was not fabulous the first time it turned out, so they had to come back and get it done.

We are extremely pleased with the service and outcome produced by the Deck Solutions team. We put them up against a tight deadline to have the project completed before a summer party we were hosting. They were able to visit promptly to take measurements and offer expert recommendations which turned out to be quite valuable. The specs and estimate were turned around almost immediately. Quite pleased with the attention to detail and not to mention the overall cost, we got started right away. They were very responsive to every question or concern that we expressed. They kept us well informed of arrival times and duration of the work performed. The installation went smoothly and we were impressed by their professionalism and courtesy for our home and our neighbors throughout the project. They also did thorough clean up of our yard and around the work area once they were finished. Not only did they finish the project ahead of the deadline, we were blown away by the end result. The attention to detail and craftsmanship is top notch, I would 100% recommend Deck Solutions to friends and family.

Owner responded to my request for an estimate with a very professional presentation. Office manager was very cooperative in answering questions and calling regarding times of service. Because of all the rain experienced this summer, he was very clear that there would be a longer wait time between the cleaning/washing day and the sanding/staining day. Both crews were very good. There were a few places that were missed on the staining, but Brian was great about taking the time to make sure everything met with my approval. I would hire them again.

Originally, this was a very negative review. However, we were contacted by the owner and he has promised to rectify the situation. Pending the outcome, we have moved the ratings to C. We will follow up with another review once the work is done.

They are a great, great company and they are so great to deal with. The construction is so beautiful. I am thrilled with the outcome. I actually got to do some of the design work also. Chris, the manager, helped me to figure out how to design the inside and helped me make a decision on the coloring of everything as well. I would recommend them to anyone! I can't even express how great they are. Chris even went out of his way for us to make sure that we were pleased. I think that they may be a little bit more expensive than other companies, but I would pay it again because the work was so great! Even the Coppola on the top of the gazebo was created by hand by one of the guys. I can NOT say enough about them or their work.

They were very responsive. When we made the first phone call, they came out and gave an estimate very quickly. They followed through on everything they said they would do and we're very happy with their work.

Dan was out to our home within a couple of days of requesting a quote. He took multiple pics of the deck, which made it easy to get quickly answer questions when we discussed the project later over the phone. Before work was started, Chris (the owner), also came out to look at the deck. He noticed some inconsistencies between the recommendations that were initially made, and his own determination of what was needed. Chris quickly took the initiative to correct the recommendation, and we finalized the plan. Their carpenter repaired and rebuilt as needed - and when we found something was not done exactly as we'd expected, he promptly returned to our home to fix it, before the deck was restained. The two men staining the deck walked us through what was needed, after power washing the deck. They were extremely neat - tarping over our bushes and ensuring no stain got on the house. Our deck looks absolutely gorgeous! We would happily use Deck Solutions the next time our deck is in need of repairs.

When I contacted Deck Solutions, Dan set up an appointment for Chris to come out and meet with us. We were impressed with Chris's knowledge and discussed our material choices. Chris spent enough time to take his measurements, thoroughly discuss all the design details with us, and answer our questions. After Dan completed the estimate using a maintenance-free product, it was more than we wanted to spend. When we asked to have a new estimate done using cedar, we were pleased to see that it was about half of the original. We also agreed to a yearly maintenance program of Deck Solutions applying the oil stain. All of the people who worked on this project were friendly and professional. Even though we had the deck constructed with the same pattern as the original, the carpenters added detail work that enriched the appearance. Unfortunately the pattern from section to section did not match up as we expected. Overall, we were pleased with the finished product.
