Had originally called and asked for quote on repair and refinish work. Rep was to come out later in the week, but didn't show and had to follow up to get a someone out to do an estimate. Was told they would send someone, and still the rep showed up again a day late with no notice regarding the missed appt - only thing left at my house was a flyer ad. When I followed up via e-mail, they told me they could not estimate the cost or effort - they could give me their hourly rate of $90, or an all day discounted amount, and no expected timeline. When I responded this was wasted my time and was very unprofessional (being unable to quote routine, and a response taking multiple weeks), they told me they had left a quote for other portions of the service requested at my door. I did not receive any quote other than a flyer though. Trying to chalk it up to miscommunication, I apologized for any confusion on my end and asked for the quote details. Never received a response even after multiple follows. A month later, when sending out estimate requests to another round of companies after I did some of the work myself... I inadvertently requested one from Deck Solutions again. I had an e-mail response, and talked to Chris on the phone explaining what I was looking for. Was told they would be out to do an estimate... never heard from again, even after follow ups.

Deck Solutions powerwash cleaned my deck. They blew debris everywhere that dried on all the surrounding house, grill (relocated 15 ft away), basement windows, side windows, and kids playground equipment. I ended up cleaning all those items myself. They came out the first time approximately 3 weeks later and stained my deck. When I came home, I noticed several areas of my deck were not stained, not sanded, and there were stains running down my vertical black railings that needed to be cleaned off. I sent a detail email with pictures explaining the issues. No apology or explanation was given and after calling them again several days later, they came out to address these issues. They restained my deck a third time, with a different color that I did not ask for, and left the invoice for the remaining amount in my mailbox. Once again, I took new pictures of all the areas not even stained once, not sanded once, and the railings not cleaned with drip marks on them. I asked to meet them at my residence to review these items one by one this time. I reminded them twice to give me a time they would visit my deck to review these items with me.They did not. They came out to fix these issues again not notifying when they would visit or what they were going to do. Once again I took new pictures and sent it to them in an email asking to stain the panels of wood that have never been stained, sand the unsanded areas, and wipe off the railings from the stain or cleaning debris they left there. Then Chris Reibe charges the remaining amount to my credit card (50%) without my authorization and then sends me an email of what he did in that order. Once again I have portions of my deck that have never been stained, railings that were not cleaned, and areas that have never been sanded. I can only conclude that Deck solutions just doesn't care and doesn't want to even try to care anymore! I have been robbed and obviously suggest you stay away from this company and/or the people that might form another company name.

Hired them to sand and reseal deck. The price was very fair, and although it took a while between the powerwash and the final sealant (due to rainy weather), we were ultimately happy with the work. There were a few areas where touchups were needed, and when they came out, they showed us that because we chose a clear stain, it was picking up the stain color from prior experience, so they would recommend a solid stain next time. But the work was done right the first time and they were quick to respond when we had an issue. They rarely answered the phone when I called, but did return phone calls within 24-48 hours.

They came out on time. They started sanding the deck. Then it rained on and off so they could not stain the deck for a while. When they finally did do it, they called and told me it was finished. I noticed that it was not finished. They missed a lot of the trim work and it needed another coat. I called and they came back and fixed it. They did however dump paint on the grass in a big pile. I did not appreciate that at all. They got it on the chairs also. I did not want my dog to get sick drinking the paint. I would not hire them or recommend them to anyone.

dThe initial emails through Angie's List were responded to quickly. Initial estimation was quick, and they followed up over the phone as well. Once scheduled, the deck was power washed at the end of April, with expected staining the following week. Unfortunately, due to the weather, the actual staining didn't take place for a couple of weeks. In the interim, I had emailed requesting that we be given a day's notice so we could leave the gate unlocked, but neither received acknowledgement of that email nor a call/email prior to actually staining the deck. I fortunately had left the gate unlocked so it all worked out in the end. The stain looks nice, and we look forward to using our deck this summer, now that it has dried.

Scheduling was only part that was a little hectic- but that was not because of them - weather was so iffy that time of year. They came to the house 2 separate times - one to wash the deck and one to perform the remaining services. There was bit of gap due to rain but they did a great job. We plan on hiring them again to work on our deck this fall.

I was very happy with the installation of the new deck. There was an issue where the skirt was overlooked, but Dan made sure it was right. Everything seemed great. Now come spring (late march) and the stain/sealing of the deck has failed. Things can happen so i sent 2 e-mails with photos and left a message with their main number. Crickets. My assumption was that Deck-Solutions would at least return my call/messages to discuss options. It appears that they do not stand behind their work. Have they gone out of business? I am disappointed and can not recommend their services. 4/18/2015: Deck Solutions did get back to me via e-mail as described in their response on 4/8/2015. I then provided them with additional photos that showed the peeling on the entire deck. They said they would review. While waiting for a response, I got a second opinion and based on his recommendation for the handling of new cedar decks and his 18 month warranty on deck sealing, I have decided to have the deck resealed by another contractor. I consider this matter closed and communicated this to Deck Solutions on 4/7/2015.

Estimate was twice what I ended up paying to have 5 steps installed to an existing deck.

They were wonderful. I’ve had a couple of other people do decks and they worked well. They had to mend some things and everybody was really good and careful. The deck looks almost new and it hasn’t buckled or blistered because they did good prep on it.

After lots of delays and poor communication, when the porch was finally stained it had several uneven spots and areas that were supposed to be merely covered with clear coat look dark brown. Finally they charged our credit card without permission, without confirming that we were satisfied with the work.

Great people. Great deal. I already have them quoting another project.

It looked terrible the first time they tried to complete the work. I called to complain, and they took a look at it and agreed with me. They explained what the issue was. They came back out very quickly and I am very happy with the outcome. It looks very nice now.

They always do such a good job for us and will only call them to take care of our Deck and Gazebo!!

My husband and I were very pleased with our deck repair performed by Deck Solutions. We shopped around and received quotes from all the local companies and Deck Solution was not only competitively priced, but their quality of work stood out among their competitors. Deck solutions turn around was quick, they communicated well and they produced excellent results. The quality and craftsmanship of the finished product speak for themselves. We were extremely pleased with the end product and Deck Solutions got the job done in the timeframe promised. They were very easy to work with and kept in communication with us through the entire project. I would definitely use them again.

The over all experience working with Deck Solutions was great. Making the appointment for the estimate and service was very smooth. The owner Chris came on out and explained the their process and what they would be using to stain and seal my fence and deck. He was up front and knowledge with all of my questions. The quote was reasonable and competitive with the other quotes I received. Once I made the appointment to have the work done it was about two weeks before they were able to come out and clean the deck and fence. They came back out a few days later and stained and sealed everything. The day the crew came out to stain and seal one of the guys and myself picked a color stain. I have a gardens all around my deck and fence and the guys did an immaculate job of covering and protecting all of my plants. I cant say enough good things about Deck Solutions. If you are thinking about getting your deck done in the Tri-City area use Deck Solutions.

Excellent. They move all of the items off the deck with care and cleaned/washed it. Several days later they were back to stain everything after it had dried. The crew was great to work with and the area was left clean with no over spray.

Deck cleaning was done about 2 weeks before deck staining/sealing. The weather was not cooperating after the deck washing, so there was a delay before the deck staining/sealing could be done. The first time the deck staining/sealing was done, the technician did a good job of application. However, due to the way the wood took the stain/sealer (or maybe because we had a hard rain the night after it was applied), we ended up with a visibly uneven application. We called to complain, and a crew came out the same day to resolve our problem. So, overall we are happy with the work.

Took longer than expected but this is mainly attributed to the weather being highly uncooperative this Spring/Summer season. Hubby didn't like how they sanded (not enough pressure and would have liked the balusters done more), but was very impressed with their staining technique - very quick and professional. Price was a bit on the high side compared to others who came out to quote, but we went with them because of the deadline we had (which they missed because of the weather), and we liked their process and product.

The service was okay. Two people came out and it took about a month and a half. We have had a lot of rain which delayed the project. They were professional. I would tell a friend or family member no expectations, no disappointments. The guys in the field are very nice. The price was fair and competitive.

Provider gave a quote and held to it. I was not home when the painting was done but from first visual you could see the painting looked good. After a more thorough look there were small areas that needed to be done again. Painters came right out and did the work professionally and followed me around as we saw small areas that needed more paint.

We chose to go with another vendor, based upon our preference for the deck that was built. I think Deck Solutions is a very professional company and would have produced a fine product.

My project was quite irritating to both me and I'm sure them. It started as a simple refinish project and through a series of uncovering more and more rotted boards, turned into me redecking the entire deck. They quoted me a price to redeck and it was very reasonable. However it was more than I wanted to put into it at the time so I ended up giving up a few weekends and doing it myself. Now that the project is complete I plan on having them come out to stain the finished product. Keep in mind that these guys can get very bust and have longer lead times. To me, that's a good sign meaning they do quality work.

Initial estimate was accurate. Description of steps (sanding procedure on one day following by painting on another date) was accurate. The dates of the appointments were rescheduled however without perfect notice, which was acceptable to me. This did lead to the painting of playset occurring immediately prior to heavy rains, which I foresaw by the weather forecast. when I explained that a touch-up would be necessary, this was immediately accommodated. the finished project was excellent. This was several weeks after the initial call was made.
