He came out to give an expert opinion on a tree the City told me needed to be cut down. He didn't charge me!

Very unprofessional.

When they got going on the lower branches we noticed the centers of Each branch was diseased. We expected this because of what Had been dropping on the carport for the last two years. Large pieces Of branches with black curled leaves. I sat watching them cut The limbs and after cutting only three limbs they pulled back and Moved the truck out. They moved to my neighbors back yard and cut sm shrubbery .... My neighbor arrived and I spoke to him About the fact that the branches were still 25 feet overhead onto Our car port as well as disease . I asked him to come and look at them which he did as WELL as Earl the owner of Throop and sons. He told me that that the tree was not diseased and that the black Limbs that were falling from the tree was normal. I explained to him that my husband had a dbl PHD in agronomy And ask Earl if he wanted me to go get him. At that point he shook His head and waved his hand at me like what I said was non sense And then said and quot;That's all the farther my bucket will goand quot; and walked Off. I had been filming when they first started in the bucket way up on the Tree and the statement that the bucket wouldn't go any farther Was incorrect and Earl knew that.

Called 6/24 in the morning. They bid the job and came out the same day and had the job finished in 1 1/2 hrs. Perfect job - removed tree from roof fixed the gutters that were bent and cut down rest of tree. Cleaned up everything and hauled it away. Very effective and cost efficient. Don't hesitate to use this business.

I called several places to get estimates, and Throop and Sons came in lower by half than anybody else. They were quick to come give an estimate, and once I was given a price they came to start on the tree a few days later. On day one they took down all the branches, on day two they cut down the trunk. Everything went into a chipper, and they raked up anything left in the yard. We were billed in the mail about a week later, with a due date 10 days after receipt. About a week after we paid, we received a thank you card and magnet from Earl. Overall VERY satisfied with our experience, and we would definitely recommend Throop and Sons to others. It wasn't a problem for us, but be aware if you hire them that they do not accept credit cards.

Tree was wrapping around our 2+ story home. We could not reach them. Neighbor basically had abandoned property. They made our home safe by trimming back the branches hanging over our property.

I initially called Throop and Sons a week ago and have called 4 times since then to try to find out when we could get someone out for an estimate. I was told by the women in the office, that she would pass on the information and the guys would call us back when they had time. Well it has been a week and we still haven't heard anything. At this point, we will be going with someone else since they are unresponsive.

Excellent work, raised the tree canopy in the yard, thinned out the tree and removed everything from the yard cleanly including other branches I had piled up from the previous months.

We can't tell now that the trees were there. There are no stumps and no roots. Our experience was excellent. I like that there are no stumps out there that we have to mow around. Now when we mow the yard, it's just going to be nice and smooth. They came in and cleaned up. It was over and done; we can't tell that they were there. With regard to price, I really don't know. I have talked to a few other people whose pricing was less. However, they were left with the stumps. My husband and I didn't want the stumps or the roots to be left. We would definitely use them again in the future.

They bid it, showed up on the corrrect day, removed the trees, cleaned up, ground the stumps down, left a clean yard and came in on the price they bid.

Mr. Throop stopped by early on the 11th to give us an estimate for removing the three trees. We weren't in any particular hurry, but he said he thought they might be able to get to them in the afternoon if they finished a big job they were working on. At about 3:00 his crew pulled up in front with a large chipper and truck. One of the men scaled the big pine, removing limbs as he went,, then cut it down a piece at a time from the top. Every time he would stop cutting to move higher, other crewmen would grab the branches he had removed and haul them out to the chipper. With the big tree down, men started cutting up the trunk and taking the pieces out while others started on the other two trees. It was the most efficiently organized operation I have seen in a long time. By 4:00 they were all done, equipment stored, all the debris raked up and carried away, and the driveway blown clean. It was a pleasure to watch.

Went great had an aprox. 25 foot tall tree downhad it down and cleaned up in one day.

They were very professional and got the job done in one day. They cleaned up the mess from the project as well as cleaned the neighbor's yard and driveway. If you hadn't seen the yard prior, you would never know there used to be a huge oak tree there.

I called for service twice within 2 weeks. I requested a diagnosis, estimate, and probable tree removal. The woman who answered the phone took my phone number each time and told me that someone would call me back. It has been a month since I last called, and I have yet to hear from them, so I guess they are not interested in my trees!

I know of people who have used them as well. They do very good work. They just are very professional and friendly. They know what they are doing. They are knowledgeable on the ecology.
