Terminix - Springfield -Termite & Pest Control

They come every month and it's $48 a month. They've raised their rates twice in the last two years. In addition to their monthly, I've had to have them out here a couple of times extra. Whenever I've had a problem, they sent somebody right out.

Everything turned out okay. I have an annual contract with Terminix so they come every year and inspect my house. I have not actually had the company make repairs for termite damages for a number of years. I guess I have been satisfied with them. I think their price is way too expensive. They have always been on time.

The annual fee has gone up. I’m not satisfied with how they bill me and I’m not satisfied when they come out in the cold weather.

On several occasions, they've left voice messages saying when they will be at the house, but they never actually show up for the appointment. Additionally, the technicians aren't really courteous or friendly when doing the work.

We've been using their services for about four years, and everything is going well. Their treatments are effective, their technicians are very helpful and informative, and they're always happy to send someone out between scheduled visits if there is an issue.

The customer service rep set me an appointment up for Saturday after I told her that because of work that was the only day I could be there for it. She told me they would be at my house between 8am and noon. So after sitting aroind all day and noone showed up, I gave them a call and they said they had me scheduled for Monday. I then re-explained to them that ot was not possible and that my origional appointment was for Saturday and they then hada service manager contact me. He promised that a technician would be out within a few hours. Again, I waited around for the rest of the day and finally late that evening the service tech called and said he would not make it. So I expressed how disappointed I was in their lack of professionalism and failure to communicate and that because of that I would find another service provider.

We've been using them for a number of years, and everything is going well. The technicians are friendly and efficient, and the treatment has been effective.

They're a bit pricey, but it's a local business which I like. Furthermore, they respond quickly to any problems, they send the same technician every time, and the treatment has been reasonably effective.

Joe has been doing the work for us for at least 20 years, and it's been a good experience. He always responds quickly if we have an issue, he's very friendly and personable, and he encourages us to call with any problems.

Ultimately, they were very expensive, and I started using another company with more competitive rates.

They are always prompt and professional. I've used Terminix for a number of years for both termite and pest control.

Unfortunately, Terminix's chemicals made my pets and myself very ill, and the company blew me off when I brought the issue to their attention. My cat actually had to stay in the hospital for four days because she was so ill. It was for these reasons that I stopped using their services and found another company for pest control.

They seem to know what they are doing. They alert me before coming out. They do what they say they are doing. Their staffs are professional and very patient. What I don’t like is the cost. The cost increases every year, and it is to the point now that I feel it is exorbitant.

The person who sprays, his name is Chuck, has given me his cell phone number and has come out on the drop of a hat to investigate any problems we have had. He has been really attentive and given personalized care. It is the same person who comes out every single time. It is small town care for a corporate organization.

Everything was OK. The gentleman who sprays is talkative and always asks if there are any issues he needs to address.

They are thorough and come within in a day for a special problem.

I used them as they have a well-know name and I had a termite problem. I called them and they came out the same day. I haven’t seen a termite since. They are very friendly and very professional. I have actually signed a contract with them and they are coming back monthly.

I have used them for over 10 years and am on a yearly contract. A number of years ago they helped me solve a mouse problem. We are very satisfied with them so that we can be ready when they come since we have dogs. They also leave us a report on what they have done when they are finished. They are prompt, punctual and I will use them again in the future.

We no longer see the spiders that were here before they sprayed. We will use them again in the future.

They were quickand efficient, very polite and went above and beyond and cleaned a couple rugs we hadn't included in the initial quote.

They keep tabs on everything and actually check things thoroughly. It's not like they just spray and leave. They will answer your questions and address any issues you have.

We had a hole appear in a wall around our shower, and a small pile of what looked like sawdust appear outside it. We feared the worst: termites. I called three professional exterminators to have them come and evaluate it and suggest solutions. Terminix was the last of the three to arrive, so by then, I had a very good idea of what the situation actually was. There were no termites. Possibly, but not certainly, there could be ants. In any case, the situation was one that we as homeowners could remedy ourselves without expensive professional help or the use of toxic pesticides. Knowing this, I decided to say nothing, but to see what the Terminix rep would say when unprompted and thinking that I was a totally naive prospect. I will give him this: he never outright lied. He never actually said that we had termites. However, he did everything in his power to imply that we did, and to scare me into buying an expensive treatment plan. He went through all the motions, doing a whole-house inspection inside and out (which turned up absolutely nothing). The entire time he talked about how termites could be hidden and doing unseen damage. He also pooh-poohed the remedies available to ordinary consumers, such as bait stakes. He then pitched a whole-house barrier plan, which would involve drilling and injecting insecticide under the slab. The cost would have been about $1000, but he offered me a discount that reduced it to about $900. I asked him what insecticide they would use, and he gave the proprietary name used by Terminix. I asked him what the active ingredient was, and he mispronounced it, but did recognize the correct term when I used it. (I had done research on the web about what controls were available.) My opinion: they are not to be trusted. "Oh, there is something scary and invisible! Give us money and we will make it go away!"?even though there is no evidence that it is there in the first place. These services could be valuable to those who truly need them, but to sell them to people who don?t is dishonest. At the very least, get another opinion before you pay for anything.
