Prairie Pride

I signed a contract early January 2018 to have my kitchen cabinets refaced and gave a $1000 deposit. This company made no effort to contact me to set up a final measurement. When I finally was able to reach someone, an appointment was set. The rep called me 1.5 hours after the appointment and told me he forgot to write it down. I was very understanding and rescheduled the appointment for 2 weeks later. On that day, the rep called me at the time he was supposed to be at my house and said he had just finished up a job and was an hour out and did I want him to still come by. I wanted to reschedule because he would not have been to my house until 6:30pm that night and I did not want him to be rushed in making the measurements. He said he would call me back the next day which was a Thursday. No call from him on Thursday or Friday. I emailed the sales rep on Sunday night and the rep supposed to do the measurement called me around 4:00pm on Monday but I missed the call. I tried calling back but he was out of the office due to a family issue for awhile. The other employee I spoke with said that he could call the measurement rep but I told him that I could wait until he got back into the office. His wife had just had a baby and I did not want to bother him during that time. I waited awhile and then no phone call. At this point, I requested a refund because I was getting the run around. No one in the company has initiated any calls to me. It seems to only be a response after I have to leave several calls. At one point, I left a message asking to speak with the owner of the company. Again no phone call. I called again and asked for the owner and the measurement rep said that they did receive my message but the owner had been busy with walk in customers. My reply is that I was a customer also. Later that day, the owner left me a voicemail approximately 5:30 pm and said that he had some expenses that he has had with my order which was the commission that he had paid to the sales rep. I tried calling him right back and got voicemail but did not leave a message because they had not been responsive. I tried calling the next day and their mailbox was full so had to call back again. I finally was able to leave another message and, of course, did not receive a call back. I sent an email to the sales rep and told him I was going to contact Angie's List, BBB, and an attorney for the refund of my deposit. Of course, did not receive any response. This company definitely over promises and under delivers.
