Description of Work: This job consists of repairing water damage framing for a bay of five vinyl framed windows. Called for appointment 10/13/15. Arranged visit for 10/15/15. Company representative Bruce Peterson arrived as scheduled and assessed the work that would be required. Presently awaiting scheduling for the job.

Description of Work: What I like about the company is that the four main workers are committed to doing a good job. They are not slackers and they do not cut corners on trying to do quality work. The owner has a system that holds everyone accountable on a daily basis and the client is given a daily summary of the work done ( hence the cost per hour) if it is a time and materials job. Because they are good, it is sometimes difficult to get them scheduled to do new jobs. They redid my bathroom last year and it looks great.

Description of Work: Remodel bathroom. I am pleased with result. The work was completed on time and as we agreed. Communication during the remodel was often. Workers did good work and cleaned up each day before they left.

Description of Work: Called and wanted a quote. Took info and then called next day and said too busy.

Description of Work: I had him out for an estimate. He was pretty through, although, I needed some work in my basement and he told me he didn't think he could help me with that, which I thought was curious. |He told me, several times, that they are repeatedly used by people for handy man skills and small jobs. |We discussed if I did some of the work, etc. to keep costs down. That didn't seem to be a problem. |The estimate he gave me was quite higher than I could pay. |I did quite a bit of the work, but was unable to do some of the wood work/molding and electrical. |I emailed him about it. I rec'd a response stating that they didn't do jobs that were less than $1,000. So, it costs a $1,000 to replace a broken window or put in a new door? That is ridiculous. |If you are doing a large job, I guess give them a shot, but if it is a smaller job, they won't "waste" their time. |

Description of Work: Kate Lesley remodeled a downstairs bathroom for us and did an outstanding job! This is the second extensive home work we have had down by this firm - the last was door replacement, an upstairs bathroom - and their excellent workmanship continues. The bathroom done in this case was small and required only one person - the fellow sent was pleasant, extraordinarily competent, and did plumbing, tile work, sink, mirror and light installation, drywall and painting. We've used several home remodelers/contractors in the Springfield area in the 35 years we have lived here - Kate Lesley rates #1.

Description of Work: The owner of the company came out to the house, looked at the two little projects I needed to have done, told me he would send me an estimate by email and I never heard from him again.

Description of Work: Kate Lesley Inc. came out and gave me a quote for dry wall refinishing.

Description of Work: He came to paint the interior and fixed some cracks in the wall.

Description of Work: Carpenter worked with exterior door to make it open and close correctly.

Description of Work: Pleasure to work with. They fixed ceilings and repaired drywall. Also painted several rooms. Asked them to do extra repairs and they gave an hourly rate that was fair. Workers were pleasant and efficient. Used them twice in the last 3 years.

Description of Work: They patched a kitchen plastered ceiling so well the large patch was undetectable.

Description of Work: Kate Lesley put a coat of "mudd" over the old and awful wallpaper that would not come off. I think it's the stuff that goes over drywall. Before they put the "mudd" on, they painted some sort of shellac to contain the wallpaper. To contain the dust and the shellac smell, before work each day they sealed off the area with plastic and tape, and took that down at the end of each day.
