TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE TERRIBLE Everyone we know (AFTER we worked with Gabes) that has used Gabes had a terrible experience with them. Totally apathetic and unresponsive when it comes to customer service and fixing things after they've got your money RUN!

The cost may seem high, but I had selected a top quality full light door with blinds between the glass. The man who came out to do the quote spent quite a bit of time with me to answer my questions about my plans to replace windows even though I had told him I wouldn't be replacing them any time soon. He was happy to listen as I explained my ideas and offered information for different options and styles, pros and cons, etc., based on my needs. The men that installed the door were professional, friendly and efficient. They were careful with my interior flooring and cleaned up after they were done. They were happy to answer my questions as they worked and checked with me on how the framing looked before mounting the door. The seal on the bottom of the frame broke during installation. They had already ordered the replacement when they showed it to me and had an approximate date that it would be repaired. The replacement was installed as soon as it arrived. No extra charge. I am very pleased with my new door and the excellent service provided by Gabe's team.

Perfect! We are very happy with the work that was done, the windows are great and we would hire Gabe's again if we had it to do over.

The installation went very smoothly. It took one day to replace all the windows, and part of another day to get the outsides finished and wrapped. The crew led by Blake showed up on time, took care of moving heavy furniture and cleaned up any mess. The windows look absolutely beautiful, inside and out. I plan to hire Gabe's again in the future for other work.

Gabe and his son were very prompt and professional. They moved me up their busy roofing list due to an active roof leak. Explained everything that needed done, the cost, the warranty, etc. They started bright and early and finished late that afternoon. I don't think they even took a 30 minute lunch. The roof looks great, they did a great clean-up job as well. So far NO more leaks!! Too bad everything can't go as smooth as this went. I highly recommend Gabe's Home Improvement and they will be my go to business for any further home projects that call for a professional. Thanks again to Gabe and all of his hard workers. They did an excellent job, their windows seem to be high quality, Gabe's son who worked with crew was efficient and polite to answer questions. They meticulously wrapped the windows on the outside. Gabe's price beat estimates I got from Home Depot and Lowes. My impression is that it is a well run family business that is trying to do a good job at a resonable price.

Excellent!! Very professional and friendly. Made sure everything was done right and to our satisfaction.

Overall well. However due to the heat at the time, the work was delayed and I wasn't told the work was going to be delayed. Additionally the dumpster was dropped off and placed in front of the garage area that blocked my car in. I therefore was stuck in town for the holiday weekend. I tried calling them to get the dumpster moved, but there was no answer. Once the work started though they were fast and did efficient work. Cleanup was overall good. I recognize there is no way to be sure to catch all the roofing nails. I thought their price was reasonable and they even beat a competitor's price.

The work went great. Gabe did the initial estimate and the workmen that showed up were hard working, efficient and pleasant. It was a very stress-free process.

It did not went too well. They a broke a window and did not cleaned it up.

They came out and gave us an estimate. They were right on time and understood what we wanted to have done. I felt we could trust them to do a good job and do exactly what we wanted done. I would use them if the future if the need arose. The knew what they were talking about and how to best complete the work needed for a very reasonable price.

Provided a good quality product and services. Job was done when they said they would do it and in a prompt manner. Very satisfied.

They did a great job and they left our yard in great condition when they were done.

Bad experience with new roof and storm windows.

They've been very professional and they seem to care about the quality of the work. So far, we've had all the windows put in and they've done the job very professionally. They did what they said they were going to do.

It went real well. The two workmen spent a day and a half re-roofing the house and detached garage. They worked steady. Afterward they picked up debris off the lawn. They had to move a masonry statute to get at the garage. They were leaving and had not put to back. I couldn't move it and said so. It was replaced instantly. Roof was replaced due to storm damage. The estimate Gabe gave was under what the insurance company allowed (I didn't tell him what that figure was). No damage was done to the guttering. Roof is still looking good and functioning currently (2013).

The guys showed up on time, spent the whole day working and cleaned up prior to leaving. I was very happy with the installations and the results.

The work they did was fine. They weren’t the best with punctuality. They gave me three different dates that they didn’t show up on. Once the work was done, they did a good job.

They did a very good job. Frederico was the cheif on the crew. They were punctual. They did a very fine job and I have no complaints. I have recommended them to others.

I call Gabe?s for estimate to replace the roof and add a porch and look at siding as well we start with the estimate for the roof do to damage need to be repair before winter. The bid was not the lowest $12,470.00 plus the porch with a deck foundation for $4495.00 total $16,965.00. Do to the rating on Angie?s list we sign a contract with Tim who said the work would be completed by the end of November which was not include in the contact and give him a check for $3393.00. On 11/11/2012 I email Tim to see what the total cost would be to include the siding and make the porch maintenance free total cost was to be $33,227.00 for everything. We applied for a loan and were approve due to the roof and the porch was to be completed by the end of November and the siding would be done about two weeks or so after per Tim we should have no problem with closing on the loan in time. We sign another contract for the siding and porch and give then another check for $3493.00 after we sign was told this did not include the garage and the new total price is $38,000.00 also per Gabe on 12/03/12 his worker are on unemployment now and he would not start the work until being of March also due to the roof is wet. After the meeting we call other contractor to see if someone could do the work before winter and yes another contactor using the same material could do the work for a lot least all he had to do was complete the project they are working on. I contract Gabe to see about getting my money back also due to the work was not completed per agreement the contract are not valid. Gabe was upset because we said we are looking use another company due to the bid was lower the issue is we are approved loan and was going to lose the loan and have no money to pay anyone. After going back and forth we sign agreement which nothing on the agreement was true they give use $3443.00 back out of $6886.00 he did not buy any material or incur any cost but what he need to pay Tim the sale guy. The other contactor asks about purchasing our home as is at this time no work has been completed on our home and we loss the loan. If you are going to use them make sure your contact has a set date for work to start. Go to the state of Illinois website which tells you everything that you as the customer need to make sure is in the contract to cover yourself.

I called them to get an estimate on new windows. They never called back. I guess they don't want my money.

I got three estimates and Gabe's was not only the lowest, but he had the best guarantee. His crew did the job professionally, on time, on budget, and I had absolutely no complaints. The service was outstanding. I would recommend them to anyone, anytime.

Best over all experience hands down. I will not blow up the page with a ton of adjectives....to me there is no other choice...period.
