The technician James was very knowledgable and quickly inspected the system. He went room by room and bled the air out of the radiators and made an adjustment to the speed of the water pump. More importantly, he taught me how the system should operate properly, and how I could isolate individual zones of the system to flush out any air pockets that remained. After his work and some additional tuning on my own, the noise has all but disappeared. We are very satisfied and will definitely call again for any future service calls.

He assessedd the current faucet and we both decided to replace rather than try to fix (25 years old).

Over all the guy seems nice and honest about things even though he was late getting here. I thought and expected to receive a phone call back on a cost for a new unit but never got the call.

Prompt. Kept everything neat and clean. Showed me how to do some minor care for the future.

call the on 8/24/2011 and they said they would be out the first thing the next day,and they were on time. He took the toilet apart and explained my options, and what could be done. Very professional, a nice person.

I called them but they don?t do what I needed. I thought I asked if they charged for a quote and I thought they said no so I got stuck with a bill. The secretary claims that she told me that there was a charge but I wouldn?t have had them come over if that was the case. They charged for him coming over and for the time that he spent here. I went ahead and paid them because it was my fault if I misunderstood them. I wouldn?t call them back and I probably wouldn?t recommend them.

At then end of May my central air failed. The tech came the next day and they tech was very proffesional in every way. My condenser needed to be replaced. It went down hill from their. In the end it took four weeks to repair my AC. The inside of the house averaged 90 degrees even with fans blowing and we worried that our dog would get sick because of the heat, she was obviously impacted. When asked why the repair was taking so long I recieved conflicting statement. I don't mind paying more money, but I expect a prompt repair in return.

Pleased with finished work product; however, initial visit to troubleshoot toilet issues did not identify faulty fill valve and needed to return for second trip. Had trouble scheduling follow-up visit due to misunderstanding with main office.

The tech from Murphy was finished replacing the thermocouple (a $10 part we were charged $25 for) in about 30 minutes. Pilot relit and he charged us $92 for labor and another $25 for the service call. Came home later that night and the pilot light was out and could not be relit. We now have a new gas valve (which Murphy told us could not be replaced) and another thermocouple and we don't need a new furnace, saving us a lot.

Our central A/C did not seem to be working that great over the last week or two. It was blowing cold air and for all intents and purposes it seemed to be technically working but it wasn't doing a good job of lowering the overall house temperature. First we reached a threshold of about 73 degrees (we couldn't get the house temperature any cooler) and then by the time we were able to get someone out the threshold was closer to 80 degrees. It was definitely getting uncomfortable in the house and there seemed to be a problem - but we didn't think it was a major problem. As you know, many A/C repair companies are booked solidly these days and it was looking like we were going to have to wait a week before someone could come out and look at our central A/C unit. However, F.J. Murphy & Son Inc. accommodated us and when we called them yesterday they said that they would try to fit us in yesterday. True to their word, about 5:10 PM they were able to come out and take a look at things. They did warn us upfront that we would be charged an extra $20.00/hour because it was after 5:00 PM but we weren't too concerned about that because we didn't think it would take longer then a hour to fix things up and what's an extra $20.00 if it gets ice cold A/C blowing through the ducts again? Dencil Hopkins arrived about 5:10 PM and we gave him a quick rundown on what we were experiencing with our central A/C unit. He knew precisely how to fix things and said that within a hour he could make it so that we'd have ice cold A/C again. He gave things a real good cleaning and topped up the central A/C unit with refrigerant. He was done in a hour just as he said he would be. He was very helpful throughout the entire process and answered any questions that we had. He was also confident and knew exactly what he was doing. I can't tell you how much that means to me personally folks! That's what you want to see in a service person. We paid him $150.00 for the labor and the refrigerant and he was on his way by shortly after 6:00 PM. We'll definitely be giving F.J. Murphy & Son Inc. a call again whenever we have a heating, plumbing or A/C issue. It's my recommendation that you do the same!! They will treat you right, guaranteed.
