+ -1 moreMr. Moscardelli was the lowest of the 4 bids we acquired. Considering his reviews on Angie's List were good, we chose his company to remove the existing patio which measured 10 1/2 ' by 12' with one step. The patio is located at a moderately priced property. Mr. Moscardelli and his crew of 2 arrived promptly on agreed upon day and started working for the 5 hours it took them until completion. We regret that we did not explicitly convey the way we wanted the patio result to look and we only intermittently stopped by to oversee. The patio's surface is not as smooth as we would like and the color is a little splotchy. Mr. Moscardelli said it would take 30 days to "bleach out and cure" but I checked it at 28 days and the color does not have the uniformity we wanted. Overall, the new patio looks very strong and the edges look sharp.
Description of Work: Mr. Moscardelli and his crew removed the original concrete patio and replaced it with new concrete in the same spot.

Description of Work: Poured steps. One side was not totally square. Felt like foot was rolling off. I called a week or so after and he came out next day and fixed it with some patch. Can't even tell there was a repair cause it blends in really well. Super friendly staff.

+ -1 moreDale is a hard working guy. He used a sledge hammer to break up the old concrete drive. That took a little time, but he worked steadily and didn't miss a day. He had the new drive poured and he did good work smoothing and finishing the pavement. The only problem we had is that in the area between the sidewalk and the street, he did not widen the left approach. He said we didn't need it because we lived on a dead end street and would not be approaching from that direction. I said I wanted it, and he did not want to do it without more money. What he did not understand was that when we backed out of the drive, we needed that left approach to back out on. It's difficult to back out, without getting on the grass. So, make sure you communicate your wants/needs specifically, draw a schematic of how you want the work done, and you'll do fine with this contractor.

+ -1 moreThe workers showed up early each of the two days of this project. They removed all the old blacktop and some underlaying concrete. Built forms for the driveway, laid mesh wire for strength. Sawed off a portion of the garage floor apron which had been severely damaged and the finished project has a clean and professional appearance. The actual pouring of the concrete was done on two different day. The work was accomplished in a most professional manner and the workers were polite, helpful and ready to answer questions. Area surrounding the finished project were cleaned up and debris hauled away. Before departing, the owner counseled us on need to wait proper amount of time before driving on concrete, proper amount of time before filling in around the edges, and proper amount of time to allow before placing a seal on the concrete. Description of Work: Removal of old blacktop driveway which had some underlay of old concrete all of which was to be hauled away. A concrete apron for the garage had had severe damage and that damaged portion was sawed off and new driveway was poured giving the completed driveway a very professional and clean look.. We asked for several specifications to fit our landscaping plans and this company willingly made allowances for these. The owner and his helpers were always very polite, helpful, and willing to discuss our needs with us. They arrived early each morning of the two days that it took to complete this project so there was never any delay. Before leaving, Mr. Moscardelli discussed with us the proper way to care for the driveway which included the amount of time before driving on the driveway, the amount of time before beginning to fill in around the edges, the number of days to allow the concrete to heal before applying a sealer to prevent any possible damage from rock salt dripping on the driveway. Our mail lady who saw the completed work and asked about the contractor. I did not hesitate to recommend Mr. Moscardelli as we were very very pleased with his company, his workers, and the cost.
