Stan was available to inspect my new home within the time frame allowed on my contract so I chose him. He was prompt at returning my calls and arrived for the inspection as expected. He walked through the home and pointed out many of the issues he found. His report was fairly thorough, and arrived within 24 hours of the inspection. Everything was great until this point. There was one issue that had been pointed out regarding insufficient secondary air for the furnace and I requested it be rectified prior to purchasing the home. The buyer contacted Stan to ask why his report stated this was an issue. This problem had been explicitly addressed during our walk through. Stan emailed saying he had made an error in the report and that there was actually an external air intake and that he had just clicked the wrong thing on his handheld. Knowing that he had made sure I was aware of the issue when we did the walk through, I called him to find out why he had changed the report and to see if he had gone back to verify that there was in fact, no issue. He was rude in response and stated that he made a mistake on the report. Again, he had made sure I was aware that there was not enough secondary air intake and that it needed to be addressed. Not only was he rude when I questioned him on this, but he lied about the issue and didn't go to verify that there was enough air intake. I would not recommend him if you want a professional individual to work with. In addition, his website states "Free With Every Inspection:· Full color photos of your home· Fire Hazard Checklist· ?Manual for a Happy Home? maintenance guide" , but there were only a few pictures and the other two items were not included.
