CLEAR CHOICE WINDOWS

The price was great for what they did. I have an old house so many of my windows are different sizes, but they measured all of them and custom made the windows to fit into my house. The installation, however, was not what it could be. I got my house sided after this and they discovered one of my windows was in crooked, one is missing the support board that got knocked out when they installed the windows and didn't bother to replace, the flashing was nailed in with only one nail in the middle so it got bent by the wind and broken in spots, and one of my windows does not fit right in the frame. All of that would not be a problem since the windows come with a lifetime guarantee, but I have been calling the place for four months and nobody will come out to fix it. They keep telling me there is a ticket written up for me, but there is nothing else they can do for me. The last time I called and complained the woman told me she was tired of me calling and b******* at her and hung up one me. The owner complained said he would personally come out by the end of the week to take a look, but he never showed up and refused to call me back when left a message.

The windows themselves are fine. I believe they did lower my power bill. However they were not installed properly. I get mold on the inside of the windows. When I contacted Clear Choice they said the problem could be solved. They said they would come down and re-caulk the windows. When they didn't show up within a month I called again. Same promise- no results. This scenario repeated itself many times over to the point where I gave up. Clear Choice is obviously not interested in repeat business or their reputation. If you need new windows find someone who will ensure the job is done and done right.

The first problem came when they unpacked the windows. One of the panes was broke. They said they would fix it later. The next thing was the the other windows were supposed to slide up and down. The windows they brought slid from side to side. They said we will put these in and fix it later. As I found out these people absolutely refuse to return and fix their misakes. After repeated phone calls I finally went to their office in an attempt to resolve the situation, all to no avail. They have still not returned with the right windows or given me any indication when they might.

The workers that came were friendly and hard working. However the craftsmanship was shoddy at best. When I pointed out that some of the trim on the inside of the window needed attention I was told the homeowner was supposed to do that. After they left I spent about an hour cleaning up their mess. They didn't bring the right material to wrap the exterior of the brown windows we had ordered. They said they would be back the following tuesday to finish. That was nearly 3 weeks ago. We contacted the store to find out the status of the job. Talkled to Roy. Roy raised his voice. He was very rude and condescending and repeated over and over that he was not coming back to finish the work until he had another job in our area. Roy is, without a doubt, the least professional contractor I have ever dealt with.

I had to called repeatedly to get my windows installed. Took them over 2 months to install ! They finally got work done, but put wrong window in room . Energy saving window was to go in living room , not spare bedroom. They are refusing to move the window into right room. I bought them on august 7, 2014 , it s now December 6 .2014. Not happy with this company performance. They do not treat small jobs like big ones. Or is it the fact that I am a women!!!

My house was build in 1911 and the windows were original to the home and very leaky and wouldn't open anymore. I had 19 windows to be replaced. I wanted to go from a casement window to a double hung window because of the huge price difference. Salesman came out. He said no problem.... I had never bought a replacement window in my life so I figured he knew. They sent someone to measure the windows for the order. When the windows came in and got put up, I was SHOCKED. There was an inch or more gap in more than 1/2 the windows. You could see outside. I mean really see. They came up with a solution to put extra trim around the inside of the window to cover it up. So they went andbought a bunch of lattice trim and put it in. Oh but wait! These windows were supposed to tilt inside for easy cleaning. But now youv'e got some windows where the trim is obscuring that from happening. I tried to pull in one window and it pulled the trim right off. Then you go outside to look at the windows and it looked terrible. There was a huge gap on the outisde. Bigger than the inside becuase there was a casement window there before. The way those are made they slant down to keep rain off. Double hung windows are straight across. SO not only did you have the gap from the window not hanging right, you then have extra gapping because of the different ways the windows are made. Well 2 of the 19 windows were not going in because that inch gap was more like 4-5 inches. I have huge windows but it was beyond me how they got the measurment off so much. Well, they had to order those and I had to wait. I contacted the manager and I told them they had to do something with the gap on the outside. I sent pictures. He said he would fix it and have the guy that was coming to hang the last 2 windows do it. The guy came and hung the windows and left. No trim got hung. They charged my credit card without my authorization for the last 2 windows. I called and had that reversed. I ended up having to insulate and hang trim myself on the outisde of the window because they never sent anyone to fix it. I had gotten so fed up and winter was right around the corner and it appeared they were never going to fix it. There is a lifetime warranty on the window. One got a stress crack but I never called them to fix it. I would never use them again.

Windows went in great, siding took longer than expected. They were short on crews.

I wanted to replace about 30 windows in my old house. After I got several quotes, I chose this company because it was the only company who could make custom rather than standard size windows. My windows are 52' wide and the the maximum regular size were 48' wide. Most of the other companies recommended to put two sets of narrow windows instead of one large window. While there may be better quality windows available, I think these windows provide very good quality at an excellent price. The sales representative was very helpful during the whole process especially with regard to helping me with the color of the windows. I'm glad that we changed the interior color of window including grids from white to wood grain to match the old dark wood frame inside the house after I finished the order. The color of exterior window remained white. I asked him to come again to talk about this change, and he was very eager to help me to make the best decision. Four Installation crew worked for two full days during the weekend. They were excellent workers and quality of their work was great. I think it was great investment for my house.

They did a great job, showed up on time, and cleaned up everything when the job was done.

DON'T HIRE THEM AND YOU WILL BE HAPPY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

An individual from Clear Choice came out to measure and quote windows for our home. He arrived on time and was very courteous. Their price was the lowest and we chose to have them come install windows. Two men arrived to install the windows. They did a good job of removing the old windows and replacing them with the new ones. The caulking and aluminum wrapping looks great. They cleaned up after themselves and didn't leave anything behind. Overall, a great experience. The only thing I didn't like is that they smoked while on the job and some of the smoke came inside as they removed the windows.

Estimate was very clear on what I was paying per window. Installers were very neat and did not waste any time installing the windows

The gentleman from Clear Choice (I think his name was Jeremy) came out a couple days after I called for an estimate and measured the windows, and showed me the choices for different windows. Their estimate was just about what I was expecting so I paid half down that day (they gave me a discount for paying cash). He told me it would be about 3 weeks before they could do the work. After about two weeks I called to make sure that everything was still on track, and they said the windows had just come in, and asked when I would like them installed. They came out two days later and took care of the entire thing while I was at work. The windows are exactly what I was hoping for; they match my house and were installed exactly as required, preserving my original interior window trim. They did a good job with clean-up, and locked up when they were done.

I went to the store and they came the same day to provide an estimate. The window was installed properly and I have not had any problems.

Vic came over and gave us an estimate. He returned a couple days later on April 24, 2010, to sign the contract. He measured the windows, and explained the process and time line. The next Wednesday the company called, and a young man again measured the windows. He told us the windows would be ready in two weeks. Chuck and Chad arrived today, May 14, 2010, measured the windows again, and began to install the windows. They arrived on time, and the windows were all done in about five hours. Chuck showed me how to use them. And they did NOT leave a big mess. The windows look great. From the beginning to the end of this process, the company has kept us informed. They are great people to work with--professional and efficient.

It went horribly and still is not complete. They came and measured the windows. Before the windows arrived, they came to measure again. When the windows arrived none of them were the right size. They came and measured again and ordered new windows. 12 fit and the other 4 were the wrong size. They came and measured again. This time one of the four fit and they tried to cut the other three to fit completely ripping the top off one and cutting out the drain vents of the other two. After seven calls and four trips to the office with no real response, I gave up. Recently a family member tried to intervene to get our windows fixed. Clear Choice came and measured again and promised to install on Monday. Today was Tuesday and no one has called.

It went great. The salesman did not try to sell me more than I wanted at the time. The work was done well, they cleaned up after themselves, were polite, the product and price were as described. No hidden costs or anything like that, which I've been warned about. The salesman measured the window in question and offered me several options. I went with the step up from the basic double-paned window. He ordered it and said it would be in within 2 weeks and it was in and installed in 10 days. I paid half up front and half when the job was completed, to my satisfaction.
