Buckley's Prairie Landscaping

Originally two people met with me at the house and promised an estimate. After a few days another person called and said he would be out to look at the shoreline again, explaining the he had more experience with what I wanted done. I appreciated that another person came out, especially since his plan was very detailed and I knew he understood what was needed. I waited longer than was necessary for the bid. I had to call repeatedly and when I finally talked with the staff member that came out to look over my shoreline a 2nd time, he was very defensive and almost argumentative. He reminded me that I should be calling his cell phone instead of the main office, but his cell phone is not set up to take messages. Pretty neat trick of not having to return calls. However, communication did improve. I was ultimately happy with the work. I had been told that Buckley's was "ok", and that customer communication was spotty. I agree with that assessment, but I they need more than one landscaping designer, who is definitely overworked. I want some additional landscaping done around my house, but have decided to go with another company.

Contacted Buckley's in early March for some landscaping to be completed by end of spring. Paid $200 for design at this time. After 7 weeks, finally got the design and contract. The design had left off some vital details that we discussed at original meeting. After 3 weeks and multiple messages left at the office, (cell phone not set up with voice mail), finally got a call back. Set up appointment to discuss design and contract. Person for Buckley's was a no show at the arranged upon date and time. Called and they had put on wrong date, and they weren't feeling well. Finally met to go over design, know almost 3 months since original discussion. Promised a corrected contract and design by first part of following week. Two weeks later, still waiting to meet with them to discuss design and contract. I would not recommend Buckley's to anyone based on their very poor customer service. I will work with someone else to get my landscaping completed. It's been so long now, I will probably have to wait until fall or next year. Four months to try and get some landscaping done is unacceptable in my opinion. I originally contacted Buckley's because they were recommended to me. i've since gone back to that individual and told them the situation. They've apologized for recommending Buckley's to me.

They gave me good advice for doing some planting in the lawn, so I like the service I got there. They were friendly and very helpful. They were punctual and knowledgeable. I will continue to use them.

I had a tree removed and they made it a nice bed, put some stones there, edged it, and planted several plants. They planted some plants in my garden too. They also helped me to pick out the plants that I wanted. I would definitely use them again in the future.
