Trane factory didn't have the gas valve so had to wait a week for it to come in. Once it arrived in Bloomington they went to pick it up personally. While without heat they offered us space heaters. Luckily we had our own that did the job.

When we woke up this morning, the furnace wouldn't come on. We called Bob Ondrey of Advanced Air-Heating & Cooling. He was on another job, but responded quickly and came to our house the same day. The problem was the ignitor. We have had him before and will call him again whenever we have heating or cooling issues. We have been totally satisfied every time we have had him. Highest recommendation.

My furnace stopped working this past weekend. It's November and cold but not bitterly cold yet, thankfully. I have space heaters so I haven't been too cold but was hoping to get my furnace looked at either Monday or Tuesday. Anytime I need work done at my house, I come to Angie's List first. I always start with providers who have A ratings and read reviews. I read a few reviews for Advanced Air that said Bob did extra work or put in extra time and did not charge them. That impressed me so I sent an email to schedule an appointment for Monday. I didn't hear anything from him Monday morning so I called another provider who said the earliest they could come out would be Monday evening between 5pm - 7pm. That was not ideal but at this point I was tired of being cold. To my surprised Bob called me around noon. He apologized for not calling me sooner saying his email was not working properly so he called Angie's List to get my info. I explained the problem and he said he could be out within the hour. Wonderful! He was there at 12:30. He got right to work, cleaned my very dirty dinosaur of a furnace, explained to me that he needed to leave for a few minutes to get a part, he came back with the part, and had it working again in about a total time of one hour. Bob was efficient, clean, and a pleasure to work with. I will definitely use his services again and will recommend him to everyone I know!!

I came home from work to find a faint burning smell and a cold house. The thermostat for the gas furnace was set to 'on', but I could not hear the furnace running. Turned it off then back on and smelled a strong electric burning odor. I called several home furnace repair places that were 'A' rated on this website, but the first two had an answering service and told me someone would be in touch the next morning. The third was Advantage Air. I left a voicemail, and within a few minutes Bob called me back and asked questions to help pinpoint the issue. From the symptoms he suspected it was a burned out blower fan motor. He said he would call back in the morning when he was on his way. I called the other two companies and canceled. The next morning he called at 7:30 and was at my house within 15 minutes. He quickly determined that his suspicions were correct. Within two hours of his arrival he removed the old blower fan, left to find a replacement, returned and had the new fan, capacitor, and frame mount installed, and inspected the rest of the furnace to ensure it was working properly. I didn't even have to be late for work. Bob was honest, fair, and professional; I will definitely be using his services again for any heating and cooling problems.

He came out within about 2 hrs of me calling, which was great. He cleaned everything, replace freon, and advised me on how to handle future problems. The best thing was he did not try to sell me a new unit. All of my HVAC equipment in my house is older, and anytime I have had anyone else over for any reason they always try and sell me on new furnace/AC etc. He did not. He was quick and professional and it was appreciated. I will definitely use and recommend him in the future.

We needed a whole new A/C unit. We called 5 other companies for quotes. Advanced Air was the cheapest and we as if he had a lot of knowledge so we hired him. He came a little later then scheduled - but he called to warn us that there was an urgent job that made him off schedule. He worked diligently until the job was done - it took longer then he orginally expected and he had to fabricate a piece to so it would fit with our older furnace. He did the extra work and fabrication without extra charges (including labor costs). He was very honest and hard working and we will calling him again when our furnace stops working.

The furnace was installed with the existing AC coil. When Bob was doing the cold air returns I changed my mind and wanted more returns, one in each bedroom. Bob did the additional work and did not charge any more. Very impressed with the work. I got 3 different estimates. Advanced Air was $3200; the other 2 were over $5000. The Goodman Furnace Bob installed was 95% efficient with a lifetime warranty on the heat exchanger and 10 year on parts.

The initial house visit was $100, it cost me about $5000, and he gave me a good deal.

He did really good work. The price was reasonable. I will continue to use him for our furnace and ac work in the future.

Furnace was cleaned and checked in a timely manner. Would recommend this vendor in the Springfield area.

I called Bob after reading the glowing reviews about him here on Angie's List. I was having a problem with my mobile home's furnace not starting. I would go to turn the furnace on, and it wouldn't start, just an audible click from the compartment and that was all. I called two other companies before him, and one wanted $75 just to do what he did for $30. I arranged for him to come by that evening. He came by in the time frame he had quoted, was very courteous and professional. He got right to work, opening up the furnace and removing the draft inducer motor, which he had said before on the phone might have been a likely culprit. He cleaned out the motor, reinstalled it, and lo and behold, I had heat once again! He even went as far as to vacuum out the furnace compartment and filters before he left. The furnace has been working ever since. I can't thank Bob enough for his expertise and courtesy. I'll definitely be calling him again in the future.

My furnace was only blowing cold air and the blower would not shut off. Bob checked it and found that it was just a loose wire. He also helped me determine if my condensation drain was clogged. He was very helpful, courteous, and professional.

After a scorching week with temps hovering in the upper 90's, I didn't think I would be able to get anyone here so quickly. I called Bob on a Saturday morning around 8am, and surprisingly enough, he was able to be here within a few hours. I explained the problem and he answered all of my questions. Lucky for me, I only needed freeon. Seems to be working. He was informative, friendly, and someone I felt I could trust. His prices were reasonable, too. I would recommend him to anyone. In fact, I have his receipt on my fridge waiting for the fall, so he can come out and inspect my furnace to make sure I'm good for the cold weather. It's sure nice to know there are people still around that are honest and just not after your last buck! Kuddos to Bob!

Our Air wasn't working so I call him on July 13th in the evening. He came the very next AM. One of the wires on our outside unit was corroded. He also checked the coolant levels, which we low. He added Freon and fixed the wire. We live in a rural area, so it was quite a drive for him.The whole service call was $100.00. I would defiantly recommend him and we will be using him again if the need arises.

Called Advantage for a second opinion after a Mike Williams service person came out to splice a broken wire and wanted me to spend over $2,000.00 to replace everything new and shiny. Bob was great and did a lot more than I anticipated for a very reasonable charge. Should have used Angie's List first!

I have bought a new new furnace from a firnace company and need it installed. Advanced Air (Bob) came out and spent 1 day and a half installing it. He did beautiful work and would highly recommend him to all. His rates are more then reasonable and if something unforseen came up, I am sure he would work with you on a solution. I have a new funace man, that is for sure. His price was the lowest but his work was true quaility.
