+ -1 moreThey explained everything in detail that they had to do, quoted me a clear detailed report and stuck to it. They were friendly and efficient. they were also very considerate and kind to my deaf 15 year old dog. She even liked them.
Description of Work: They had to update the whole house that was built in 1954. Outside and inside. Really left the house is great order to, minimal cleanup on my part.

+ 0 moreEven before I was with Angie's List, I used him. He is good. He did a major upgrade on my electric. The put a new breaker box in for me. They did a lot of other work too. It is part of the contract. They installed new circuits in the garage, new outlets, new lighting. So it was not just the breaker box but that was the main thing. All of this other stuff was add ons which the total came to $4700. There was a lot of major work that they did. They were really good.

He corrected the miswiring of 3-way system in the house and the garage he installed new 3 Way switches tested ok

+ 0 moreOkay, so my husband and I are usually okay at hanging a simple light. However, we do have older home and it does have some quirks. So on a Saturday we decided to hang two lights in our kitchen. The first one seemed to go well and then we went to turn it off and it would not turn off. So it was time to call the professional. We were rather afraid that we might have done something to burn down the house! We called Don on Sunday morning. He nicely explained that it would cost us a lot more to have him out on Sunday but we were a little afraid of what we had done and we didn't want to wait until Monday. He came out on a Sunday! He fixed it all the way it should be. That was quite a load off of our mind. He was very nice and very professional.

+ -1 moreMr. Hutson came out for the estimate the same day I called. He was very knowledgeable in explaining the work that was necessary to upgrade our old systems. He said he would e-mail me the estimate the next day and I received it first thing the next morning. We thought the price he gave was reasonable, and after we decided what items we wanted done, I called him the next week to schedule the service. He came the following week during the time he said he would. He and an additional worker performed all the work in a reasonable amount of time. They did good work and there was no mess or damage left behind. Mr. Hutson was very professional and friendly at all times. Overall we were very satisfied with their work and would hire them for future electrical needs.
Description of Work: I hired them to do upgrade electrical work on our older home. They installed two circuits, two ground fault interrupters and replaced several outlets throughout the home.

This was a bit of a challenge because the property is old and I reside 2000 miles away. They had everything that they needed in their trucks to do the job. They were here for a total of 7 hours. Don was a great person to work with. + -1 moreExcellent company to work with, quoted a price, made an appointment, showed up at the appointment time, completed the work fast and reasonably priced.
Description of Work: 12/10/12 pm 1) Electrician checked the furnace and houses electrical wiring box and determined that the problem was with lose wires on the neutral in the furnace's control box. He then secured the wires and the furnace worked immediately. 2) Checked kitchen ceiling lights and determined that it was not an electrical problem but problems with the bulbs, once the bulbs were replaced the unit work as usual. 3) Reviewed a problem with an electrical ceiling heating fan in an upstairs bathroom, oiled the fan motor and the unit worked as designed.

The electrician explained everything that was corrected and suggested what else should be done. I felt very comfortable talking with him and asking him questions. Totally polite, professional, and he left everything in perfect condition.
Description of Work: I needed some under-the-cabinet lighting fixtures removed in preparation for some kitchen remodeling. It seemed like a straightforward job, but we discovered shoddy electrical work by whoever worked on the house previously that required both the patience of a saint to sort out and a dogged attitude toward problem-solving. I was very relieved to get the work done and to know that my kitchen is safer. I have an old house and was shown other problems that I was not aware of, but were obvious to me once they were pointed out. This wasn't a sell job -- there was no pressure to do anything, just showing me what needs attention and I really appreciated that. A few weeks later, while the remodeling was going on, I called to see if it might be possible to move the kitchen outlets. Don stopped by and took a look -- quickly ascertaining what it would entail. Although I decided against moving them, I really appreciated his responsiveness and I will definitely use Electrical Services R E for future work! In fact, I am in the process of scheduling a visit for an estimate.

I contacted them and the owner met me at the property, reviewed the project, respectfully listened to my thoughts and concerns, and offered advice and options that could save me time and money. The owner personally managed the project, resolving some serious issues with the electrical inspector to my benefit, controlling the quality of work, which was performed magnificently, and ensuring that the property was kept clean and free of construction debris. He reviewed installation procedures with me prior to construction and recommended changes during construction that not only saved time but enhanced the appearance of the property. After the electrical work was completed, he coordinated the final inspection with the building department, patched all holes and performed final cleaning which left the property as clean as it was prior to construction. I highly recommend this company.
Description of Work: I am in the process of selling a house that needed to be completely re-wired because of some code related grounding issues.
