Aaron's attention to detail impressed me the most with the construction of my new deck. He was more concerned with making sure I was happy with the end result than adhering to a pre-determined schedule. As a result the job took longer than he anticipated but he was determined to make it right. I would definitely hire him again.
I was pleased to find someone who could address all of the outside needs for an old home. However, after three weeks of interrupted work, the painting was outsourced by Mr. Masek. Repeated phone calls have brought him back to work for a few days and then I have to call again. He has promised to return several times and has not. I paid him in full before he took a vacation in July and he promised to return the week after his vacation to finish the few things remaining. Since then, I have had contact on two occasions and been promised that he would return in a few days. The wooden storm windows are not hanging squarely in the windows and I am now forced to hire someone else to complete the projects that still remain as well as correct those that have been completed but not to my satisfaction. At the beginning of the project, which started in May, I told Mr. Masek that my husband is ill and I would like the project to be completed within a reasonable amount of time. I do not find 3 plus months a reasonable amount of time.

Thank you so much for your review on Angie's list. It helps so much for a small customer minded business. We like to offer suggestions to customers, but the bottom line is fulfilling a dream they had, not what we had. Making dreams come true at a reasonable price. Thanks again.

I've used this company several times for several different projects, and it always goes very well. His attention to detail is what really stands out; he's a real craftsman when it comes to being able to design in a neat way. He's excellent. He's actually also working on a full built-in entertainment center for me as well. We're also planning for him to completely remodel my parents' kitchen in the Spring.
Description of Work: Raised panel wayne's catting in the dining room.
My overall experience was fantastic. From the quoting process through the completion of the work, everything was handled with professionalism. The quality of carpentry and trim work is second to none. I can't tell you how many compliments have I have gotten on the renovation design and the quality of work, both of which were done by Masek Carpentry. My relater thinks I have increased the value of my home by over $10,000 with my $4,000 investment. Masek Carpentry's attention to detail really shows in the finished product. I would challenge anyone to find a more competent carpenter at a more competitive price.
Description of Work: My kitchen and living room was converted into one big great room. The kitchen now flows seamlessly into the living room, which has made it great for entertaining. I also had a new custom window installed in the kitchen. To complete the renovation, the first step was removing the wall separating the kitchen and living room. When removing the wall the electrical that was wired to the existing wall had to be re-routed to a separate wall, as to maintain all the function we once had. The next step was the installation of decorative crown molding on the ceiling, trim work on both end walls, and wainscoting on end both walls to. The crown, trim and wainscoting beautifully tie in the kitchen and living room. Once that was completed all the trim and crown was primed and painted. After the wall completed Masek Carpentry then tied in the wood floors with a decorative transition piece made of oak. That completed the great room renovation. Once that was completed Masek Carpentry removed and installed a new custom window in the kitchen.
