 + -1 moreI took the clock to the store and the man at the counter looked at the clock and immediately realized the problem. The clock had been turned off resulting in the clock not cuckooing. My mother is in a nursing home so I'm not sure if she, another resident or a staff member may have turned off the clock. Anyway, he turned the clock on and the bird began cuckooing like crazy. The man at the counter (probably the owner) wouldn't accept any payment. It's a really nice store with lots of beautiful clocks. I will definitely be going back...my mother would like her '60's Bulova wristwatch fixed.

Description of Work: I have used Elgin Clock Repair before, and the technician always does meticulous and thorough work. He cames to my home to oil and adjust the mechanism in my German chain pull grandfather clock. He also leveled the case. He was very knowledgeable and gave me some pointers to keep my clock working for years. I was very pleased with the entire job.

Description of Work: they replaced the westminster chime in my grandmother clock--i got to test two different chimes and they replaced the one I liked, taking it from a new clock.
