Description of Work: They installed customer-supplied faucet to replace old leaking bathroom faucet, which also required replacing drain pipe connectors; replaced non-functioning supply-line valves for bathroom faucet; repaired leaking supply line to toilet tank.

+ -1 moreThese guys were great! I know absolutely nothing about plumbing, and being a single mom they totally could have ripped me off and replaced parts I didn't need on my ejector pump. Instead they were honest and said that all I needed was to adjust my float, which they did very quickly. While they were here they also went out of their way to inspect my sump pump and adjust a water watchdog alarm I had improperly installed. They also gave me friendly tips on maintaining my battery. They were very professional, really nice, and most importantly honest!!!

+ 0 moreExcellent job by Ed and his co-worker Jeremy! Great service began with my initial contact via Angies List until the time they drove away. Ed responded to my request the same day to schedule having the main line cleaned out as we experienced a couple of backups in our laundry room and our first floor tub. Upon arrival, Ed informed me that the Oak tree roots in our front yard could be the problem. I had shared with Ed in making the appt that access to the line was in a crawl space and upon inspecting it, there was no way their large machine could fit into the area. He suggested trying the smaller machine which possibly would not address the problem. It did! Roots were the cause for blockage and with his suggestion for a camera inspection, I was assured the problem was addressed. I would be remiss if I failed to acknowledge Ed and Jeremy's professionalism. Courteous service at it's finest. And, to top it off, they explained to me what they were doing throughout the whole job.

+ -1 moreWe had a leaking pipe under our 2nd floor bathroom. Water had begun to drip through the drywall into the living room. We called Convenient Plumbing in the evening, in hopes to make an appointment, leaving a message. When my spouse called a second time to give some additional information, they answered! It was after 7 pm so I was impressed they took the call. Agreed to come the next day, some time after 10 am. They called before coming and were within the promised time frame. They carefully and quickly were able to determine the problem and fix it. I felt the cost was extremely reasonable. According to my spouse, they explained everything they did. No one wants to deal with plumbing issues, but if we have them again, they wiil be our go-to plumbers! I would highly recommend Convenient Plumbing!

+ 0 moretold me what needed to be done, did it, cleaned up, showed me what they had done and were gone! They are really nice guys and know what they're doing (unfortunately, the guy who plumbed the powder room and bar sink initially did not!). This is the second time in a year that I've needed a plumber and Convenient Plumbing is now MY plumber...no need to call anyone else! Oh, and I almost forgot...Ed remembered that I'd forgotten to give him the coupon last time and gave me the value of that coupon and the same value against today's work. It's not a huge amount...but it shows integrity on his part...and, right before Christmas, I appreciate any breaks I can get!
Description of Work: Repaired discharge on sewage line for bar sink into vent line for ejector. In short, the sewage is now going directly out of the house, rather than backing up and shooting up through the bar sink. If that sound gross, just imagine the scent! Ed also replaced the check valve and increased the vent from 1.5" to 2". Wonderfully. He and his son were in, created a plan of action,

+ -1 moreThe guys were REALLY busy when I called, but, after talking it over, Ed said he'd see what he could do and would call me back one way or the other. He called back in less than an hour, and said he'd be able to come first thing the next morning (it was already afternoon when I called him, so this was wonderful). They arrived on time and ready to go. I showed him the water damage to the downstairs office and they went upstairs to get at it. They determined what needed to be done and got it done promptly with no muss, no fuss. In and out within the hour, they explained what was needed--and why--and charged me what I consider to be a very fair price. While I may not need plumbing services all that often, it's nice to have someone I feel confident in calling when I do.
Description of Work: Totally re-habbed a toilet that had broken due to age and initial poor installation. Replaced the wax ring, and re-set toilet so it wouldn't rock/leak, replaced all the moving parts, as we had broken one off and the others were operating less than optimally. Ed even advised how to handle the damage to the downstairs ceiling...a real plus, as his solution is very affordable!

They installed the new and removed the old and educated me on the process and the water heater. Ed and his son are incredibly professional, provide great information and I trust their work as I have had other work done by them as well and it has been done exceptionally well.

+ -1 moreI called Ed because my sump pump was running constantly, in addition I had a new toilet that I needed installed. Ed and Bill arrived on time, they were clean and professional and went right to work. My sump pump had resumed functioning properly, Ed checked it out completely and felt it was operating properly and nothing else needed to be done. I suggested that perhaps he should install a new pump regardless, he said that would be a waste of my money and would not do it, WOW an HONEST plumber!!!! Ed then proceeded to install my new toilet perfectly and efficiently at what I knew to be a very fair price. I have always found that shopping for a plumber is (pardon the pun) a crap shoot, I found a good one. I hope to never need one again but when I do Ed is the man.
Description of Work: Ed replaced an existing toilet with a new toilet and he checked out a malfunctioning sump pump.

Description of Work: I had a backed up kitchen sink that my husband was unable to fix. so came my dreaded search for a plumber. I found Convenient Plumbing right here on Angie's list. I appreciated the fact that they are located right here in my own town. I called and left a message and my call was returned within an hour. My husband explained our problem and worked out a good time for him to come out. Ed came out at the expected time, was friendly and efficient. I really am glad he seemed interested in solving our problem and not trying to sell us other products or services we didn't want or need. I took him less than an hour to rod out the kitchen sink all the way to the main. I am very happy with the service and at a reasonable price $150 I was expecting much more. I have found my go to guy for any further plumbing problems or projects.

+ 0 moreThe whole time, he was totally comitted to helping us with out problem, and explained everything very clearly. They did a professional job, and cleaned up after themselves. It has worked flawlessly ever since. After checking around, I realized that $850 was a VERY good price for the work he did. We've got our 'plumbing guy' now, and would call Ed again in a heartbeat!
Description of Work: We were confused about what was going on with our hot water. It was never hot, just a little warm. Then we got huge gas and water bills! We called the first number we could find, and Ed Burris of Convenient Plumbing came out for a free estimate. Ed quickly figured out what was going on. It turns out that the water pipe to our utility room ran through the concrete floor, and the lime in the cement ate through the copper hot water pipe. We were dumping hot (well, warm) water under our house. He got right to work, capping off the leaking pipe and figuring out how to replace it. After checking out our hot water heater, he recommended that we replace it also, since it was past it's useful life (it was over 10 years old) and had been running 24/7 for a few weeks in a row. After picking up a new water heater for us, he ran a new hot water line to the utility room through our attached garage. As a precaution, he included a pipe heater and insulation. Before the day was over, all the work was done and we were back in business.
