Talked with the two guys during the removal as I wanted to make sure there was no damage to the wood structure behind the trim. They double-checked it was still strong and assured me that it would be sealed. They were very friendly and professional. Noticed a few days after the installation that some of the weather seal had separated along the top edge. After notifying Apex, they quickly returned to fix the section and make it all right.

Still pending decision. Excellent presentation by salesman, with helpful visual aids. If left to the Board, we'd use Apex. Unfortunately, we have internal issues that will likely force us to use a different vendor.

Purchased their roof maintenance package. Included the replacement of the shingles as well as the rest of the stuff I wanted and more. Ken came out promptly and did everything in the package. He did a comprehensive look around our roof, and even in our attic. He replaced the shingles (I wasn't looking for matching, but they look fine). He also let me know the good and bad, and gave me a reasonable estimate for a new roof. We are saving for this for next year. He was very knowledgable. He was there between a 1/2 hour to an hour.

Every phase of the project went extremely well, beginning with the evaluation of our roof and presentation of the estimate. Our needs and concerns were listened to very closely by Ken Coppes from Apex and every question was always answered promptly and professionally. We cannot say enough about the professionalism of everyone at Apex, and we always felt that we were being treated with the upmost respect--really more than just customers. The installation crew was great--fast, friendly and we think their cleanup left the yard space around our home cleaner than before the project! We have already referred Apex to other friends and would use them again in a heartbeat.

They didn't fix anything. They just came and told me that I needed a new roof. It was not $149 worth of services for the roof repair or a temporary fix. It was fine. The guy was professional. I wouldn't do it again because they upsell you something when you give them your money. I just felt like it was a "bait and switch." They gave me a quote of $9000. I got estimates of $3000 less. They responded quickly. They're too much. They could have at least repaired the issue we had that I paid for.

Went great. Scheduling was easy and very professional. Ken Coppes showed up and quickly fixed the leak. Very honest and super nice guy.. I would not hesitate to use Apex again for our roofing needs.

Service went off without issue. Worker went on roof as well to assess status. Minimal issues identified.

The other companies I had contacted for quotes wanted to replace my entire roof when only a small section was damaged. Apex came out and told me they could repair it for much less than replacing the roof. The gentleman they sent out was really nice and professional and explained exactly what they were going to do and how they were able to repair it for me. I would highly recommend them to others.

Rebecca scheduled my appointment & I received a confirmation email with a picture of the technician that would be coming to my house. Oval arrived 15min early (bonus!) and was courteous, knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with. I would refer them to my neighbors & use them again.

I worked with Rebecca who was an excellent representative. I had not updated my telephone number and not checked my email. She sent me an email letting me know she couldn't get me at the number I had on file. So when I called her she had all my information ready and she had even sent me a picture of the tech who was coming to do the work. Very professional and efficient. Ken arrive wearing the APEX logo and he listened very carefully to my concerns. He inspected the roof and found a buckled and some shingles needed to be re-nailed in the roof and then he went in attic and discovered a few pieces of rotten wood, he even took pics and also the installation in the attic was deteriorating. So he fixed the buckle in the roof nailing down the shingles. He explained that in a couple of years I would need a new roof with new wood and new installation in the attic. Ken gave me a rough idea of how the procedure would be done. I felt very comfortable with his advice and I will use APEX Exteriors in the future.

The technician was initially on time and was very personable. The inspection was quick. He sealed a gap around the chimney and inspected the leaking skylight, and showed me pics of the problem area taken while he was up there. We discussed options for replacing the skylight, he took measurements, and promised to get me a quote, with the $149 for the inspection/tuneup to be deducted from the quote. Over the course of the next couple of weeks, I received promises that the quote would materialize soon. It never did, and finally I just stopped hearing from him. I won't chase a contractor in a situation like this; nagging someone to come work for you never turns out well. So in the end I had to start over with someone else, and the $149 paid to Apex bought me five minutes of chimney caulking and a sales pitch for a service that would never happen. Technically they did what they contracted to do, which was look at the roof and make a minor repair. But the skylight was the reason for it, and there was no follow-through.

First, I would like to thank Oval Royce for overseeing this project and for bumping me up on the schedule, as water was leaking into my home and damaging my ceiling. Oval came out to the house quickly, assessed the problem, and provided my with an estimate in a few short days. The job itself went fine, Oval and his team showed up when they said they would, got the job done, and left the place tidy. The only complaint I have is that after I awarded the job and left a sizable credit card deposit, the process to get on the schedule was a little frustrating. I was in a rush because of the ceiling leaking which is why I gave the deposit so quickly. Rebecca in the office told me I'd be on the schedule by Friday, but when I called on Friday, Rebecca didn't have a date for me and said I needed to call Oval. I called Oval, but he told me I needed to call the office and talk to Rebecca. I called Rebecca again and she told me she needed to check with Oval. I was just at the point when I was thinking I'd made bad decision when they came through for me and got me on the schedule. So many thanks for that, but be careful to not bounce your customers back and forth too much! I'm very happy with the work they did, and how quickly they got it done. I really appreciate the fast service, given it was raining a lot and my family room ceiling was leaking. It isn't anymore! Problem solved. I will definitely use these guys again for any roofing issues.

It went great. The sales person, Dave Scott was terrific along with the installation team from Eddie to Pedro. They were courteous, unbelievably hard working and the job finished on time, on price and looks great. I am very appreciative of this work and would use Apex Exteriors without any hesitation. Anyone asking me about a roofing company, will hear about this great experience. They were A+++!! Thank you.

The provider did not come to my town fro services and had to cancel the work order.

temporary fix has stopped the leaky roof for now (even with recent heavy rains) and they are coming back out to for a permanent fix

Since this was being funded out-of-pocket and not covered by insurance, I wanted to make sure I had legal recourse in the event that the repair went south for any reason. This was my first time speaking with a contractor for work over $1000 on the house, so this has been a learning experience. The sales person David came out on 6/22 to bring over the contract for us to sign. Since my wife did most of the coordinating, I didn't have much time to prepare for this and to be fair did not ask for things like proof of insurance (liability, workman's comp) before his arrival. When he arrived, I was given the Lisa Madigan documentation, signed that and the "proposal" that was brought over. The proposal contained basics such as the having the dumpster, where it was going to be placed, the material, the cost, and some details about what they were planning on for the work which was appreciated. When I asked David about my concern for only having a 3 day recourse under the Lisa Madigan policy and not having an estimated start date, he mentioned that if I could not trust "his word" that we shouldn't do business. He shook my hand, started to walk out the door before I asked for the proposal I just signed. He ripped it up and handed to me. This described situation is abbreviated to summarize my personal experience with Apex. In hind sight, the "proposal" was not written like a contract I am familiar with. Not only was there no estimated start date or estimated completion date, there was nothing stating payment schedules, nothing stating the use of subcontractors or any any mechanics lien waiver. There were no assumptions, no scope, just a bullet list of things on a single page. There was a section in the proposal listing the interest rate on late payments, but that was it. I only wrote this after reading the Home Repair, Know You Consumer Rights pamphlet online. I asked for a start date and end date, only to get a reply that he can't provide a date due to pulling permits, ordering the material, and getting the laborer for the job. Only during that time did he mention that he was backlogged with work and couldn't start for 4-5 weeks. It is helpful to mention that since I was paying for this out of pocket, I decided to use a credit card instead of cash or check in the event that something went wrong. Apex mentioned that there would be a 2% charge to use a credit card. After I called up other companies in the area, it turns out that there are other businesses that take credit cards and do not charge a transaction fee. The transaction fee was not in the contract, by the way. You wouldn't know this until it was time to make the payment. After this experience, I joined Angie's list and started calling up other companies for estimates and will cover all my questions in advance of the contract signing. Final thing to mention is that one of the Angie's list providers that I called after Apex left our house mentioned that ABC Roofing provides almost all of the material for roofing jobs. He mentioned that the folks at ABC Roofing mentioned that their sales have been very slow and that roof work in the area was far from abundant. There was zero transparency on when the roof work would begin and/or end while being locked into a contract. I was willing to talk through these points with the sales rep since this is a learning experience, but he seemed irked that I did not sign and let him go onto the next job. I had no intention of wasting anyone's time and I am a serious buyer with available funding for the contract. Since he mentioned that we shouldn't do business because I don't trust his word, I know that I'll never consider Apex again. Amending a contract to include payment terms, payment options, and estimated start/end date isn't hard and is even in the Lisa Madigan pamphlet. Since they couldn't be bothered to include this, I'll pass and find someone else. Attorneys go back and forth on contracts all the time, so this behavior was unsettling.

Could not tell if they sealed anything. They did do a temporary patch where a raccoon had done some damage. The patch looked like a 6 year old did it. This was supposed to be a "big deal" , $150 for $300 worth of roof sealing and inspection. Got about $50 worth. Will never use them again, and question if I should use any Angie List recommendations!

I called for a leaking skylight, they scheduled within 24 hours, and arrived on time. They sent me a picture of the tech that would be there, which I thought was a great feature. He evaluated the leak and determined that the flashing was disconnected. He told me to seal would be $95. He put in some new screws and sealed the skylight. He also sealed the skylight next to it for no additional charge. Service tech was friendly, professional, and quick. This call was for a rental property and I already inquired with him about possible service at my home, and he provided some verbal guidance based on my description. I will definitely use them again.

Dave Coppes, service rep. was very professional and courteous. We were so very pleased with Apex from the time of making the appointment until all work was completed. We will use in the future as our needs arise. Apex provided the name and photo of the tech in advance of arriving for the job. This security measure that Apex took reassured us that we were working with true professionals.

They came and gave us an estimate on what could be done. Very friendly to work with.

Not well, said he would provide an estimate and never did. I know they are busy, but so am I, so why waste our time. Very annoying and unprofessional.

Our inspector, Dave, ran a little late. However, he worked quickly when he got here. He went up on the roof and took pictures and then came down and showed us that the roof was in really good shape for it's age. He found one missing shingle and replaced it for us with a near matching left-over from his truck (an additional fee of $50.00 over the Angie's deal). He caulked around the vents and some exposed nails and was done before you know it. He even e-mailed us some of the photos. It was a real comfort to know that the roof is in good shape and there is no need at this time to replace it.
