APEX EXTERIORS, INC.

We called Apex because we needed repairs to some storm damage on our roof. They gave us an estimate for $285 over the phone. The workers arrived on time and inspected the roof (taking pictures to document the damage). They confirmed that the repair we asked them to do would be $285; however they also noticed that the flashing around several pipes was cracked, which would cost an additional $100 to replace. They did ask us before doing the extra work, so there were no unanticipated charges. The work was done quickly, and looks good. The new flashing came with a lifetime warranty - if it ever needs to be replaced, they'll do it for free (as opposed to the original flashing, which they said was only designed to last a few years).

The agent who arrived from Apex Exteriors (Willi Kindler) was extremely cordial and professional. As part of the inspection, there was an issue identified with part of the front soffit area of the house. The agent committed to provide an estimate and one arrived via e-mail shortly afterwards. I had some questions/concerns mostly because the estimated cost of the repair seemed to be rather costly -- and I replied (via e-mail) asking about this as well as whether a lesser approach might be possible. There was no reply at all. I followed up with a phone call and found that Mr. Kindler was no longer with the organization and I left a message for the person the receptionist indicated was handling Mr. Kindler's work -- Joe Hirschbein who is the VP of Sales. In the message I left, I also forwarded the e-mail exchange with Mr. Kindler to Mr. Hirshbein. Upon having no reply from Mr. Hirshbein, I called once more to Apex -- and was able to speak with him. He found the e-mail I had forwarded to him -- and he said he would get back to me. I did receive a reply indicating that he had found the estimate from Mr. Kindler, but that he would need to review the area on the house in person -- and established a tentative day to do so. I did reply in e-mail indicating to put me down for then -- and I took the day from work to be here. Once again, there was no follow-up nor did Mr. Hirschbein or any representative from Apex Exteriors appear on that day. This has now reached past the two-month point since the visit for the "big deal" roof inspection. Based on my experience, it appears that Apex Exteriors has a serious issue with basic follow-up with prospective customers -- and I would have serious concerns with any work they would perform on my house as a result of my experience with their sales group.

Very courteous, careful of plants, started and finished on time, left the area clean. Professional throughout.

Andy, nice man, showed up on time, seemed professional enough, spent about 30-45 minutes up on roof. We assume he did what he said he did. He showed up roof samples, gave us suggestion about purchasing, financing, etc. Said he would have estimate in two days. He never called us with that. We called two more times, talking to him once and were told he'd have estimate in 2-3 days. He never called back. We will not do business with this company. Neither the owner nor other staff followed up with us even though we were a possible lead. They obviously didn't want new business.

Took before and after pictures to dicument work performed. Was very professional, responsive, and courteous. Exceeded my expectations. Easy to communicate with.

Excellent job preformed on the scheduled date and all in one day, including clean up.Highly recommend this company for any home services needed.

Dave called to let me know he was running a little late (that day it was about 100 outside and I was his last appointment), but he still made it to my house, just 15 minutes late but I appreciated the call. He was very professional, nice, and great to work with. He provided an honest opinion about the roof and it's condition. It was refreshing to have an expert come and NOT recommend a bunch of work. He did mention a few minor items, but didn't try to sell me a bunch of work I didn't need. He also gave me great pointers on keeping the roof repair free to save me money long term. Overall very satisfied with Apex and will definitely use them again.

The guy that came over was timely and courteous, and appeared quite competent. However, he also gave the impression of wanting to get out of there as soon as possible, and being mostly interested in providing quotes. In the end, I felt like this would have been an excellent free service (as in coming by to take a look and give a quote), but the $150 I paid was not worth it. The day after, an A/C guy came over for another deal. This one was $50, and he put in a solid hour of maintenance work for it, which felt like an extremely good deal by comparison.

Dave Coppes was on time, courteous and friendly. He answered all our questions and did a thorough inspection inside and out. We would recommend Apex to all our family and friends. We were very pleased with Apex.

Fantastic workmanship, was here the agreed upon date, used materials agreed upon, did exactly what we agreed upon and they even replaced a couple of spots of rotten wood that I was unaware of - great experience, representatives were very professional.

I did the deal of the day and they were great! Dave came right away and took care of extra things for us. He also explained everything in detail. We will use this company again!

Project went very well. I had some specific install requirements I wanted met, most were already standard install requirements for them and the others I wanted they did with no problems or for a small optional uptick fee. Very flexible people to work with. Work was done very well and the overall pricing was extremely competitive. The Sales Consultant. Will Kindler, was a pleasure to work with and was very helpful throughout the whole project. The finished result looks great! I would do business with APEX Exteriors again.

We signed the contract and gave our deposit. We were not in any hurry and still needed to confirm the color. About a month went by and then we got a call from Joe, their VP of sales, who told us that Andy left and that he wanted to stop by to review our house since Andy's notes were not very complete. Joe did a great job reassuring us that everything we discussed with Andy would be done. We scheduled the job. It took less than 2 days. They worked the first day till 7PM and wrapped everything up by mid afternoon the next day. They cleaned up well and the dumpster was gone that afternoon We felt they did a quality job. They gave us pictures of the damaged area before they repaired them so we could see the extent of the water damage along with their 5 year warranty and warranty on the shingles. The final price was exactly what we expected, no surprises. They were very responsive and took care of the final paperwork that our city permit required. While Andy is no longer there and I believe his departure caused some issues for APEX, Joe and his team were very professional and made up for things. Sometimes after I've gotten other work done, I will wonder if we really got a good deal and if the work was quality work. I'm absolutely and totally satisfied with the work APEX did and have no regrets or concerns. I would definitely use them again and have recommended them to our neighbor.

Everything went well and the maintance was complete and through.

Crew was on time, very explained when they were done, they cleaned so well that you couldn't tell they were there.

My neighbors have had them and I was happy with their work. I think their price is comparable with the rest of the people that I have seen have a roof done here. Their quality seems to be fine. They came out and they were on time.

Used APEX to replace my roof via purchase of an "Angie's Big Deal". Andy came by my house for an estimate and was very up front about the service and timeline; I felt comfortable about working with him and moving forward with the job. APEX moved very quickly to start my roofing project and if not for some inclement weather would have had the entire project completed in 3 days of work. I'm very satisfied with the quality of the work performed on my roof and would recommend them from that aspect. My only concerns were around how the crew communicated their schedule and clean-up around the rain. The job started on Thursday and we had rain Saturday-Monday. The crew would show up somewhat unannounced Saturday and Sunday to do work. I was perfectly fine with them doing the work over the weekend, I just would have preferred a little more communication about their plans. On the Friday they worked late into the evening, all the way to dusk, and failed to do a proper cleanup in my backyard. I had a couple bushes that took a beating because of this, but nothing too bad. These items wouldn't prevent me form using APEX again, I would just recommend being proactive with the crew on communication to avoid these types of items.

We had five estimates for replacing our roof. Apex was the highest. We called them first because of an Angie's List "big deal". They made and kept an appointment for the estimate and were very professional, but the price with the big deal was higher than it would have been without the big deal. Both prices were significantly higher than the rest. Beware of Big Deals!!!

Apex has a solid program for blown off shingles that you need to repair. $250 covers the trip charge, materials, and labor in full for a basic roof repairs. I had heard of this program, seen good reviews on Angies List, and was basically sold at the word, "Go" for what I needed done. I am sure the spring season brings a lot of calls to their sales people, and I am sure that there are bigger projects than mine, but getting attention was a bit of a struggle. I just basically needed to schedule someone, but this appears to be their process. Long and short, it took a bit of persistence to "give them my money". Not sure if it was the salesperson I was assigned or just how busy they are, but that was a bit frustrating. The installer did a great job, and I highly recommend his work. $250 is not cheap, but, it is good value for what I needed done. I would do it again.

I sent an email to the company regarding the roofing deal that was being offered on Angies list. I had an immediate call back and an appt. for an estimate set up. This company was very organized and professional in every way. They were all very friendly and helpful with any questions I had. (I don't know much about roofing). From the time I was given the proposal to the time the roof was installed was a few weeks. When the men arrived the morning of, they worked like a well oiled machine. The project manager came and looked around and explained how the day would go. The insulators were the first crew. Tarps and wood planks were placed over the bushes and in front of the windows. They worked from sun up until sundown and installed everything in one day. They cleaned up around the house afterwards. Then picked up the dumpster the following day. I also had a piece of siding that had blown off from a storm that they replaced for me. And fixed a corner that was starting to fall. You get what you pay for and this company was worth every cent. That's exactly how I like work to be done on my house. Get in and out. The roof looks great. Oh they also trimmed back one of the trees that was hanging on the roof. Very satisfied customer.

I call Apex, who took a week to get a representative to get back to us. Once we were speaking with their rep, he was responsive, returned our calls and scheduled an appointment for the estimate. Apex came out, met with us on Friday April 6. We thoroughly discussed our plans and what we were looking for. We spoke for over an hour, and Apex took measurements for the estimate. Apex said they would have an estimate to us by the following Wednesday. That seemed reasonable as we were seeking quotes from other businesses too. I waited until Friday April 13 (1 week later and two days after the estimate was promised) asking when we would see an estimat. The Apex representative told us he was going to work on it over the weekend and we would have it by the following Monday. The following Tuesday, April 17, I called our Apex representatvie and left a message on his voicemail. I have never heard back from him, or Apex exteriors.

Mike was very professional and knowledgeable. His approach was all straight talk and no sales gimmick. He was very thorough in the estimate and had followed up on matters regularly.

Searched Angies list for a company that would do a minor job like this. Selected Apex based on their reviews. The woman at the office was very professional, courteous, and helpful arranging for a quick response (next day AM). The 2 man crew that showed up were very professional, took care to work around our landscaping without damaging it, and repaired the siding in less than 1/2 hour. They took the time to carefully explain everything they were going to do, why they had to do it (they had to trim away some other flashing/trim to resecure the siding).Very pleased with the quality and service. Even in this economy, there are still alot of companies that don't seem interested in the little jobs, and I feel Apex responded with the same care and concern for this repair as they would for a major job.

Mike came when he said he would and the level of detail in his inspectino exceeded my expectations. Report was delivered promptly as promised.

I haven't had any problems since. They gave me an inspection as well.
