 + -1 moreVery professional. Two guys came out. They diagnosed and found the plumbing leak but they said they do not fix plumbing issues. Instead they fixed another well related matter for me (which I had not detected myself) to justify their one hour minimum charge of $105. They answered all my questions in detail.

Description of Work: Pulled well pump; removed old wiring which had shorted and replaced casement wiring to pump; tested pump; re-installed. Flushed and tested pressure tank; replaced switch and pressure gauge; filled tank to proper air pressure. Initial problem with tap flow due to sediment from pressure tank when flushed. Provider made a return service call at no charge to resolve problem which was later fixed by cleaning the filter basket on the water softener. Service technician was professional, provided quality service and suggested another service provider to inspect the water softener.

Returned next day with all necessary equipment and installed new pump, pipe, and electrical better than previous installation. While the drilling was in process, if I thought of a new question, I did interrupt the driller (owner) who was always considerate and pleasant and ready to answer any question. I would highly recommend this company.
Description of Work: We had a new well drilled on our property. The company was very helpful answering any questions prior to the event. We received an estimate for 100 foot deep well but after some research on our part and more questions, we requested the company to go deeper (160 feet) to avoid a high nitrates. We did understand that we may have a new issue of higher iron in our water as explained by the driller which we did end up experiencing. However, the company did inform us of options available to deal with high iron. We put in an "iron" filter with another company, since Bloyer didn't provide this service, which resolved that issue.

 + -1 moreExcellent service showed up within 30 minutes of phone call even though it was close to or after five pm. Was back at the house first thing the next morning. Pump was replaced by 9:30 am after he left you would not have known they were there except I now have running water. Courteous and pleasant service by all those I came in contact with.

 + -1 moreIt went WONDERFULLY. Another Angie's List report I read had said they may charge a little more. Nope. It was HALF as much as the next highest bid, 1/3 of the highest. and $275 less than their original quote. And he didn't mess up our yard with trenching! Great water pressure (He reset the tank which had diminshed pressure). He advised me regarding what whole-house filter to use. He talked about another service to blow out sediment if I need it, and said I probably wouldn't at this time. This company showed a level of integrity and commitment to serving me, the customer, saving me money and offering great service that is so superior to their competitors in the Rockford Illinois area (They're in South Beloit) that there is no comparison. I strongly recommend Bloyer and am grateful for their work. If I'd had used them in the first place, I'd have saved the $700 I paid to the other company and have it repaired completely at first. Oh. And Chris did it all by himself.
Description of Work: Last fall the pipe from my well to the house broke and a competitor fixed the break(near the well) saying the entire pipe was brittle and would need to be replaced in the future. Plastic pipe produced in the early 70's was inferior and not long-lasting. They charged me $700, asked for cash and didn't give a receipt because of their "special deal." THREE people did the work. In December, we returned from Florida to see a lake in our front yard. The pipe had broken and the pump was running a lot. We had to turn it on and off to flush toilets and run the washer. We called the original company. They wanted $1200 and wanted to wait until the weather warmed up. This included trenching and 60 feet of pipe. Others quoted up to $1800. Bloyer quoted $885! When Chris came, he asked about our water use (there are two of us) and then said he could insert a polyethylene pipe inside the existing one, slightly reducing the flow to the house for less money. He ended up charging $610.50 and it would have been lower if he hadn't had to spend extra time getting it through the last few feet.

 + 0 moreThey are a family run business and they have been in business for years. They are very well respected. For those of us who have septic systems, they are very honest people and have done very honest work. We have lived here for 23 years and the name was passed on to us from the previous owner. They have drilled a well for us and replaced a pump a couple of times. We were very pleased with their work. They are very reasonable. We really appreciate them and we use them for all of our well needs. They are not super cheap, but you absolutely get what you pay for. They are the only company we would call for our well service.
Description of Work: We used Bloyer Well & Pump for our septic. We had an underground pipe break and they dug out the area leaving as much intact as possible about three years ago.
