They were professional and moved quickly and efficiently. Nothing was damaged and they had stairways to move couches and even a ping pong table up and down in narrow areas. I highly recommend them

So impressed with how hard these 4 men worked. I had a VERY CHALLENGING set of stairs to negotiate. I was amazed at how well they were able to navigate them with my bulky furniture. I was pretty sure that I was going to have to leave my sofa behind. They made it work! No casualties on any of my treasured belongings. No... was Not an option. Highly recommend if you need to move, this IS the company for you!!!

They dented my brand new refrigerator and never mentioned it when they were at my home I did not notice it till a few days later. I contacted STI movers and they never responded. They also charged me more than the final estimate upon delivery.

I moved away from Chicago to North Carolina for grad school and needed to get my 1 bedroom apartment moved South, and split into storage and my new residence. After doing research on local moving companies, I decided to go with STI Movers based on reviews, responsiveness and price (budget of $3k). After coordinating my virtual inventory list with Kate (who is absolutely stellar and beyond helpful), I confirmed a late July pick up date. I heard from other moving companies that my move would be "small", around 500-600 cubic feet. You have the option to put down a $200 (refundable) deposit or pay 1/2 of the total quote upfront (via credit card). Salvador and his team arrived promptly (and with sufficient notice) to pack up my apartment on moving day. There were more than enough movers and my apartment was completely packed in just over an hour. They took great care to ensure my things were properly padded, and were flexible with our few last minute open boxes. Salvador answered all of my questions and was very helpful walking me through the paperwork. All movers wore masks throughout the move (helpful during COVID). Between pick up and drop off of my belongings was about 3 weeks (you get a month of storage in your moving quote). You tell STI the first available date you will be available to receive the delivery, and they will deliver within 10 business days. While my delivery date was pushed back by 2 days due to a truck issue, I was offered the late compensation. Wilberto and Miguel gave me plenty of notice, and even a one hour timetable for my delivery. They were swift and efficient and took great care of my belongings. They were happy to split my delivery 50% into a basement for storage, and 50% into a U-haul for my family to drive onto school. Wilberto and Miguel unloaded all of my belongings in the span of an hour, and were courteous while in the house/basement. Overall I would 100% use STI Movers again. It can be scary trying to find a moving company completely online and during COVID, but I highly recommend STI Movers. They are extremely open communication wise, and are very passionate about providing great customer service. Kate was with me as a point of contact for 5-6 weeks and truly set my nerves at ease. Absolutely great experience!

Extremely grateful for the help during the pandemic. A few items were damaged/ broken but to be expected in an 800 mile move. Nothing of great value or irreplaceable was damaged. Professional and fast service.

We hired the movers for a load only into a truck we rented from a truck company. The most important part is that none of our belongings were damaged during the move, however, (I) the cost was about 35% more than anticipated (the estimated conservative hours was 4.5 hours with 3 persons but we ended up with 4 movers and it took them 5.5 hours, plus I helped move almost all of the belongings from our basement storage unit) and there were some additional material costs that I do not believe should have been charged but after a long day I was not going to haggle over additional charges (even though it was about 10% of the overall charges), and (ii) the packing of our belongings into the truck was not done very professionally because heavy items were set on cardboard boxes that were crushed (fortunately no damage) and the step stool I loaned them for packing did not make it home with us (not saying they took it intentionally it just did not end up in the truck). I understand we had a lot of stuff so the estimate may have been underestimated initially because they did seem to work hard and it was a very hot day. As far as the packing of the truck, it could have been done much better and many heavy items were placed on top of more fragile boxed items but again nothing was actually damaged, which is the most important thing from my perspective. I would not reccommend the company just based on the cost overrun alone but give them credit for the getting our belongings packed tightly into our truck that was not big enough for everything (that was my fault not the movers).

I can only say that the guys who picked up my items at the the storage facility were quick and professional.I can't comment on the delivery guys .

Absolutely wonderful company to work with. Kate is so sweet and works so hard to make the move easy. The gentlemen that did the packing and move out were fantastic! I have nothing but wonderful things to say about this company. The second half of my move to California is coming up soon and I am completely confident it will be stressfree and professional as the first half has been. Thank you so very much!

Overall - it was a very good experience. I was pleasantly surprised by their attention to detail (marking boxes for me as to which rooms they would be taken to at our new home), listening to my requests to be careful with my antique furniture - and following through on my wishes. I ve used other more well known Chicago area movers before and STI did a much better job for us. The price was reasonable and I ve already recommended this company to my old neighborhood in the Dunning area via Nextdoor.

Box everything up as they will gouge you for supplies.
