Shavitz Heating and Air Conditioning

We decided to use Shavitz Heating & Air Conditioning as the company for the install of our new furnace. What impressed us about Shavitz was their employees. They made the entire process a positive experience. Everyone that interacted with us had a friendly and professional demeanor. It started with the sales visit by Will Gutierrez who was a pleasure to deal with. He provided us with several options while never pressuring us to lean one way or another. He was patient with us and answered all our questions. His courteous approach gave us a positive view of the company he represented. The installing technician, Linas, and the tech that was assisting him only continued this professional trend. They both were equally as courteous. Once the work was complete, Linas made sure he answered all of our questions and that we felt comfortable with the operation of our new furnace and humidifier before he left. His patience was very much appreciated. He also made sure the area were the work was done was clean and all trash removed. Will Gutierrez followed up with us a few days afterwards to make sure all was well, and that we were pleased with the work and our new purchase. Our answer was a definite, yes.

They discovered another problem and fixed it and made sure everything was good with the furnace.

After some work performed by a different HVAC technician left my furnace in sudden need of repair, I called Shavitz and they immediately impressed. I had a technician at my house about 90 minutes after I called, and had the replacement of the furnace and AC scheduled for the very next day. Shavitz was prompt, professional, and caring. They took the time to explain my options and didn’t try to upsell. Because our furnace was going to be out overnight, our project manager Will brought a couple space heaters over to help keep our bedrooms warm. The work was done exactly when they estimated and looked great. They even went above and beyond and fixed some of the shoddy work the previous tech has performed. All in all, I’m extremely glad I called Shavitz. The repair was costly, but still worth every penny. They’re the only people I’ll go to for my HVAC needs in the future.

Shavitz is fantastic. They always do a great job, whether for regular maintenance or installations. Very professional, very thorough, always willing to answer questions, and they make sure I'm completely satisfied. Rich D. has made two maintenance visits to our house in the last year and was great each time. He goes above and beyond. I'll definitely continue to use them.

I did a full HVAC replacement (2 furnaces, 2 AC units) with Shavitz and have nothing but good things to say. First, the quote process with Ken was both informative and honest. The installation team led by Mirek was great. They were efficient, clean and walked me through everything. All piping and ductwork was replaced in the utility closets and at the AC units and all was properly insulated. Their work is clean and clearly shows they know what they are doing. It was a two-day install and Ken made sure to stop by on day 1 to ensure that everything was completed as we discussed. The furnaces are even quieter than expected! It’s too cold to run the AC units and they will need a return visit to get that system activated but so far so good. I would highly recommend this team to anyone.

Shavitz Is by far the best company we have used to service our furnace. They never upsell us with things we don’t need. They are thorough and professional. I always feel like we are getting really good service from people who genuinely care. I’ve tried other companies, including some that are more well known. And I’ve never gotten the service that I get from Shavitz. I always recommend them to my friends. Great work, great company.

We called Shavitz for a furnace cleaning and tune up, but Krzysztof K. went above and beyond what was expected from a standard maintenance call. He was friendly, courteous, and patiently addressed all my questions and concerns. He spent extra time to diagnose the noises coming from the furnace and thoroughly explained all recommended repairs. It was a pleasure dealing with Krzysztof and the Shavitz team.

Shavitz Heating and AC is a great, dependable company. I was lucky to have Rich Davis to service my furnace today for the second time. I was happy to see his face when I opened the door, as he is friendly, polite and fun to talk to and really knows everything there is to know about the work he does. It's always a pleasure to work with him. I was lucky to get him twice and I hope he'll be back in July for my next furnace check! HE IS THE BEST!

We signed a maint agreement for our home and a couple of rental homes we own. This was a great deal and value. The pricing calls for a discount on additional services/repairs. Work was high quality and was a good value!

It was great. Mike and his crew (Johnny and Fabian) showed up on time, were knowledgeable and courteous, and had me up and running by the end of the day. The worked diligently throughout the day, and really knew what they were doing. I would hire them again and I highly recommend Shavitz to anyone looking for heating or A/C help.

Henry came in and fixed the leak. He also noticed that our furnace was running hot, so he adjusted the gas intake and it is now running properly. Henry was very professional and clean. He performed the adjustment at no charge since this is something that should have been taken care of when we hired them to do yearly P/M. Overall Henry was awesome and so far we have been very pleased with the work Shavitz has been doing at our home. I would definitely recommend them!

Shawn B. was fantastic. He was friendly, informative and on time. When I mentioned I had recently picked up a gas smell, he quickly investigated and found a leaky union. He replaced it (amazingly fast!) and made sure the issue was resolved. I've been a loyal Shavitz customer for years and will remain one because of guys like Shawn.

Shavitz is always on time, informative, friendly, and efficient. In my most recent visit, Brad S. heard me mention that I care about the environment and before he left he helped me to understand what was and was not recyclable from the boxes and materials from his visit. We highly recommend Shavitz for emergency and non-emergency services.

Shavitz was amazing from beginning to end. Our heat went out on New Year’s Eve and they were one of the only companies who quickly called me back and were able to schedule someone to come out next day. They even sent someone out with space heaters to help us get by in the mean time. Eventually we decided to replace the entire furnace due to its age and the magnitude of the work that would need to be done to fix the old furnace. The crew who installed the new system were easy to work with, happy to talk us through the whole process, worked very cleanly and left our place spotless. I couldn’t recommend Shavitz more highly. Responsive, considerate, professional.

I cannot say enough nice things about Shavitz. I chose them because of their reviews and was not let down. I called them at 5:00 pm on a Friday evening when our heat stopped working and we were able to schedule an emergency visit that evening. What I loved most was that a) an actual person (and a really nice person) picked up the phone, and b) they kept calling me with updates because it was going to be later than the window we had been given. Rich arrived and was so nice and professional and knew what he was talking about. When he wasn't sure about the pricing he called a colleague to find out. He showed us what was wrong and gave us the bad news that we needed a new furnace. I would love for him to come for all of our service visits going forward. He texted me the next morning, like he said he would, to let me know what time Ryan would arrive to fit the new furnace. Ryan was also so super nice and informative. I received constant updates and they were, thankfully, able to get us in when there was a cancellation. Miguel, Fabian, and Johnny installed our new furnace today. They were just like everyone else - super friendly and professional and got the job done well. I feel really confident in the work they did. This company calls when they says they will and arrive when they say they will. Shavitz honestly made a pretty bad situation bearable because they were so lovely to deal with.

Shawn was prompt, courteous, professional, helpful, and personable. He answered all my questions, and (after several years of service) we definitely have only good things to say about Shavitz.

Jose arrived on time if not a few minutes early. The fit and finish of the mounting of this work are very good as it involved some sheet metal work. He made sure that the unit was caulked and that the unit was functioning. This also involved some troubleshooting on his part as the unit had a disconnected wire that would have prevented the unit from operating. Good support also from the company as there were some items that needed to be delivered after he arrived.

Craig K came out to replace the inducer motor on my furnace after Ernie (also from Shavitz) had pro-actively identified the need for the repair during a previous visit. Luckily the motor was still under warranty so we only needed to pay for labor. Ernie was polite, professional and knowledgeable throughout. He kept me updated on progress with the repair and when he ran into an issue requiring him to go out and pick up another part he expressed his appreciation for my patience. This is the second time we've used Shavitz and given the great service they'll be our first call in the future.

The three installers, Mirek, Mike, and Jonathan arrived promptly for the all-day job. All three were very professional. They came with their own dollies to bring the equipment to my unit, provided drop cloths to protect the flooring in my unit and in the building corridors, and answered questions about the equipment to my satisfaction. Will, the Shavitz Heating and AC Specialist who advised me on the equipment options, also stopped by to check on the installation. When the work was completed, the installers went through a checklist to make sure the installation was completed properly and the fan coil was operating correctly. They also showed me how to replace the filter and how to program the thermostat. Will also contacted me to see if I was satisfied and offered to stop by and program the thermostat.

Great. Shaun was honest, respectful and knowledgeable. We called Shavitz to provide a second opinion on our furnace. They were great and really want to work with you. The original quote we received from a large heating and cooling competitor was extremely expenaive and they tried to upsell us on things we didn’t need. Shavitz was great and treated us like they would have wanted to be treated. Highly recommend them!

Cornelius is FANTASTIC!! He is respectful, pleasant and really knows what he is doing. I love SHAVITZ as a company and really appreciate that they hire such fine representatives such as Cornelius.

Shavitz set up the appointment in advance and left reminder messages a few days in advance. Craig K was prompt, courteous and pleasant. He spent extra time double checking into a concern I had about my furnace. He gave me good answers to all of my questions and made sure that my next maintenance appointment for the Spring was set up before he left.
