Mr. Borjas was very responsive to my phone call and was able to schedule me for a date and time that was convenient for me. He gave me a 2-hour window for when he would be here, and he arrived early on during that 2-hour time frame. He and his helper were polite, courteous, and very clean in their work. After installing the ring, they flushed the toilet several times to make sure it was no longer dripping down into the basement ceiling. I was given a very good price for the work done, I would definitely call him again for any future jobs that I need done, and I would recommend him to anyone who needs plumbing work.

Given the weather (this has been a particularly cold winter), I called 9+ different plumbers but no one had availability. I put my name on a waiting list with Roto Rooter since they were taking new orders/calls but could not guarantee same day service. When I explained my situation to Ruben of RB Plumbing over the phone, he offered to call his techs to see if they could possibly fit me in, but that I should still call around and to let him know if I find another available plumber. A little over an hour later he calls me back to say that he's on his way. He arrived with another plumber and they made quick work of the pipe repair. He showed me what to do to prevent this from happening in the future and even bled the air from the sinks after turning the water main back on. I thanked him profusely for fitting me in and he explained that he had spoken to one of his clients who had an appointment with him that afternoon. This other client let me have his appointment time slot since it was more of an emergency than his own plumbing issue. Many thanks to this other client and to Ruben, for thinking of my situation and putting my anxiety to rest. Wonderfully kind and did great work.

As usual, professional and knowledgeable. Able to fix the problem in about two hours, including a trip to obtain the necessary materials to make the repair. This is the fourth time I have used this company. Each time I have been impressed with the work they have done and their professionalism. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend their services.

Reuben and his crew did an amazing job. They were professional, polite, and thorough. They were super flexible and talked through all of my options ahead of time with zero pressure. They even came back weeks later to take away extra dirt that didn't ever level off at no charge.

This was my second time working with Reuben. Again, he did not disappoint. He was extremely accommodating with this job. I had someone else breaking up the basement floor so Reuben could access the pipes. Reuben waited around in the area so that he could be ready to fix the plumbing as soon as it was exposed, so that the other crew could fill it in right after. He even charged me less than he quoted since the job was easier than he thought it would be.

I called Reuben on a Sunday night after I tried without success to unclog my basement toilet. I was expecting to leave a message, since it was late on Sunday night, but Reuben answered and scheduled me for the next day. He was in and out in less than 10 minutes and the toilet has never flushed better.

They just did a video. I purchased it because I wanted in the city, to use it in the of Chicago and then once I got it they said they don't come in the city of Chicago for that. So I just used it at my Mom's house. They did a good job for her and did what she needed them to do. I think they should of listed it in the city of Chicago. That's why I got them. I went ahead and used them otherwise. I would probably use them again.

The whole experience was great! They were very thorough to ensure once installed, there were no leaks. The floor was slightly unlevel, but they made it work so the sink would be sturdy. I actually called them up today (9/15/17) because the water pressure in my kitchen sink wasn't working. They came an hour later, found out it was a simple fix that I can do with just buying a part at the hardware store and didn't charge me for their visit. These guys are great!

Called Reuben on Wednesday morning asking if he could send someone Friday morning. He said yes and said it would be late morning. It's short notice, yes, but I made arrangements to be home Friday morning and called him to check what time he'd be there. Told me he had to push the first appointment longer and he couldn't get out until afternoon. Sure, things happen, jobs get pushed - as long as it didn't hinder my afternoon plans, which it only slightly did, we were fine. But I had to call him to learn all this. Around 3pm Reuben's son comes by and checks out the situation and Reuben follows. In that sense he was prompt as we said 'anytime after 3'. Before doing any real work, he does a good job of layout out the situation (if we unclog from the shower it'll be $185, if we have to remove the toilet to unclog it, it's $495, if we have to rod it from the cleanout downstairs, it's more). We agree to terms and I let them do their thing. Long story short, he has to get the toilet off to rod it there and eventually unclogs the situation in the drainpipe. Watching all this, he and his son seemed methodical (let's try this first, if not, let's try that..) which is all you can do with plumbing you cannot see. It was a major relief the drain was unclogged because the first floor bathroom is a huge necessity for guests. I'll lay out my pros and cons: Pros: After clearing up the morning Reuben said he'd do anything to make it work the 2nd time, and he was very nice through the conversation, consultation, and actual job. Took time to explain what he thought was wrong and what it would take to fix it (likewise with his son). Reuben and his son were methodical and sounded like they knew what they were talking about. They unclogged the drain taking a step by step approach, and not straight to cutting a hole in the wall. And they put in great effort to try to make the less invasive fixes work. I appreciated all that. Cons: In the middle of a job like plumbing, you're sort of just hopeful it gets fixed. But I'll say the only cons came near the end and after some retrospection. First, plumbing is a dirty job, but I don't know the expectation of a plumber cleaning up after themselves. He used my towels (with my permission, which I had to discard), they used one of my buckets I had for mopping to remove some waste in a bag from the bathroom, they used my paper towels and spray cleaner - and the cleanup was more or less a wipe down. I would imagine plumbers bring their own cleaning supplies - and I didn't expect a scrub down, but there was debris (rust, etc) left in the tub I had to clean out and walls to wash. Also the shower curtain was never removed or hung up on the rod to avoid stains, so it is now a casualty. Just wish they'd consider those things knowing how messy it could be. The final thing that kind of got me was the lack of being upfront about the water seeping to the basement ceiling. During the job I heard him and his son conversing about the water and to see if any went down there. No one said anything so I went down as they were rodding and saw the water was beginning to drip from the seams of the drywall ceiling. And I get it's collateral damage when dealing with plumbing, but the only reason we revisited it is because I had asked before signing/paying anything generally 'how do you take care of the water in the ceiling - drill a hole and let it drip?' just looking for some sort of consultation. At that point Reuben sounded like he was skirting around the issue, like he didn't want to admit it was from the job, even though I said it's totally fine and expected, just want to know what to do. And at that point I was a little playing along seeing if he'd own up to it. So this is my biggest criticism, that he was going to let me sign the bill without telling me about the damage in the basement. I won't call him dishonest as he and his son seem like nice guys, but just not 100% forthright, and I didn't appreciate that. I won't list this as a "con" because it's sort of a result of getting the job done, but the last thing that topped my list is that the sink is now clogged. I paid him in full because he unclogged the toilet and shower. But before the job, the sink would drain, albeit raise the level in the toilet/shower. Then it appeared as a result of the rodding, the rust in the pipes may have come off and clogged the sink. So I have a working shower and toilet, but the sink is now out of commission. I will say Reuben told me about this, tried to rod the sink (they didn't leave it at that), but couldn't successfully unclog that. He suggested to see if it drains and maybe try drano on that. The only other fix is now cutting a hole behind the wall to change or clean the pipe. So I'm now 2 for 3 working drains in this bathroom, and paid in full for a semi functioning bathroom. If he was more forward about the collateral damage and a bit more considerate about the mess in the bathroom, perhaps he'd win my biz again.

Called for service early afternoon on a Saturday. They told me I was third in line for emergencies but it shouldn't be a long wait. 10 min later I received a call that a plumber was on the way. Everything was fixed within 1/2 hour, service was explained, before/after pictures taken. Prices was very fair and service was outstanding.

These guys came several times--rearranging their schedule--to deal with emergency water backups in our basement. Replaced a burned out motor they'd earlier installed without question or charge. Very down-to-earth, personable, and friendly. Would (and am) hiring them again to do more extensive drainage work.

Wil came out on time, removed the old toilet and installed the new one. He did a great job. The Price was for labor only with the Angie's List discount.

They did a very good job. It was about $2400. They give me a discount so it ended up being about $2400. I have no way to evaluate the price but I'll give them an "A" because they gave me two discounts anyways. They were on time, even early a little bit.

Very positive experience. Estimate was very competitive. For the work itself, Ruben and his crew were on time and conscientious about minimizing the disruption to our family and property. They handled all permits and scheduling with the city and inspector, keeping effort on my part to the minimum. He carefully walked me through the work as it progressed, and provided a generous warranty as a safeguard. Highly recommended.

I cannot say enough positive things about my experience. Ruben met me after my work day, stayed and explained all aspects of what the problem was and gave me honest advice about what to do. The other company recommended an "emergency" and expensive fix that is not necessary at this time. Ruben is a true testament to the trades and I learned the lesson again that there are a lot of people that will scam you to make a buck. I am so grateful that he helped me out
