My diswasher would back up into my sink and unless I used the garabage disposal to force the water out, some water would return into my dishwasher. IN addition I had a leak under my sink which I caused when I loosened the pipe in my attempt to clear the clog . For several reason, I was unable to take off the pipe or tighten it sufficiently. I called RB Plumbing Thursday afternoon and Ramon informed me that someone would be there the next morning at 8:30 . The next morning Will showed up at the correct time. He rodded the line and replaced the P-trap and the other piping that I requested. He tested it several times to make sure the blockage was taken care of and he made sure there was no leaks in the piping that was replaced. He was done in about 1 hour and I was very pleased with his work. And I would certainly reuse them for any plumbing work.

Ruben Borjas is the owner of RB Plumbing company. He arrived with a helper within an hour of my telephone call for this non-emergency request for service. Both of them removed their shoes/boots before entering our premises, without my having to request it. Mr. Borjas is a slender, soft-spoken, polite man, who is suitably attired and who appears to be quite knowledgeable in his field and physically able to do the proposed work. First he evaluated the problem-toilet, told me what he would do and his charge for the proposed work, but he also said that if unforeseen problems are uncovered, there would be an additional charge. The latter statement was forthright, which is good, but it also requires my faith in the integrity of this man, since it makes the estimated price an open ended quote. Realistically, it is not likely that a customer would say, "don't continue" part way through the job even if the added price seemed high! In this case, Ruben's approach emanates, "You can trust me," without him ever saying those words, and the comments on Angie's list support that assurance, as there isn't even one complaint among over 90 reports). I accepted his offer to proceed to the repair right then, rather than stopping after he gave a flat-rate quote and coming back tomorrow to do the repair, as he had proposed when I first spoke with him by telephone, earlier today. The job went quickly and smoothly, and he cleaned up when finished. He affirmed that if there is any further problem, to call him and it would be addressed as part of the same job. It will take 7 to 12 months to know if this result is better than that of the previous plumbers. (I'll write a follow-up comment in March 2012 if things are still okay; sooner, if not). Ruben charges a flat-rate according to the job, rather than an hourly rate as is common among other service companies. So, although he and his helper were here less than an hour, there was a separate charge for the toilet work and the sink work. He honored the Angie's List first-time customer discount coupon. All together I considered his charge reasonable and lower than some of his competitors. Ruben's quick response to provide an estimate at no-cost, and then offer to proceed with the repair then-and-there, are worth something, too! All licensed plumbers are not equal - - Ruben Borjas of RB Plumbing gave me a degree of service and a feeling of confidence that exceeds that of the others.

The plumber got back to me right away to schedule an appointment. He showed up on time and did the work in less than an hour. I would use them again.

GREAT!!! That's how this turned out. Call this company if you need a trustworthy plumber. They will get the job done! Enough said.

We've had a loose trap under our kitchen sink for months. When we actually dislodged the trap by feeding too much through the diposal at Easter time, my brother-in-law made a quick fix by tightening the trap then propping the whole thing up with a cut-to-fit 2x4. That 2x4 stayed until our dishwasher went kaput and we ordered a new one. Knowing the installtion was coming up and I didn't want my rigged trap to hinder installation, I called RB. They sent a guy the next day. I can't find my receipt so don;t remember his name. He came, and much to my embarassment, said the fix was a quick and easy one. He took the 5 minutes to fix it. Since he was thee and had to bill for the trip anyway, he also fixed a faucet head in my laundry room. He was almost embarrassed to charge me. But understandably he had to since he made the service call. We are not do-it-yourselfers.

Job went very well. I met with Ruben initally and he was the first of the plumbers I met with who recommended a simpler solution than routing a new line from the basement (he suggested routing it off of the gas line in the kitchen). His suggestion reduced the job cost substantially. He showed up at the time we agreed to on the job day and also answered the phone directly everytime I called him. His prices were very reasonable. I was worried about how the inside wall and outside siding would look after he drilled through them and the holes were very neat and the pipe work clean.

The job went really well and there were no problems; it was smooth. They were prompt, reliable and thorough. They did excellent work for the price that they quoted me. I would absolutely use them again.

All in all, a positive experience. The plumber was polite, prompt, and respectful of our home. He fixed what he could, gave us a requested estimate, and explained what he was unable to fix, and why. He honored the 10% coupon, and wasted no time completing his work. I would not hesitate to call them again.

I Called them in the middle of the night with water backing up from the sewer into my basement faster than I could bail it. Ruben called me back promptly even though it was about 1:00 am (several others never returned my calls even though they advertised as 24 hour service). Came within 15 minutes of me speaking with him. They saved my finished basement from water damage that night by not dismissing me and coming out so quickly. So friendly and helpful and not at all put out about the hour. Did what was necessary to get the water draining and then came back the next day to complete the work. They found the problem by using a camera and this was key in finding a clean out that I didn't know was located where it was. Because of this they were able to solve the problem. Called RB Plumbing and spoke with Ruben about our clogged kitchen sink. I appreciated that he was able to send someone right away, even though I hadn't said there was any urgency. From first phone call to the service guy leaving our house was under 90 minutes! The standard charge is $165 for the service, and we had forgotten to ask for the 10% Angie's List discount - but the guy asked how we heard about them, and when we told him we found them on Angie's List, he applied the 10% discount automatically! After contacting online RB called me back immediately to schedule an appointment. They showed up on time and completed the work to my satisfaction.

I got three estimates and their's was the lowest. But they also did the best job finding out exactly what needed to be done, while I felt the others were just guessing and putting a number on the worst case scenario for their estimates. The work was prompt and exactly what they promised. I would use them again.

They were fine. They cleaned out few valves in the sewer lines to relieve the clot. They are punctual and they do what they say they are going to do.

We were totally satisfied with the service and really appreciated working with Ruben. The first time we called, he came out the same day. He is responsive over phone and email and was very helpful when we were choosing which toilet to pick for our downstairs bathroom. The quality of service was exceptional and the price very good. We will use them again.

They carefully removed the old fixtures and piping without damaging the bathroom wall tiles. They installed a local water shut-off for the bathtub which did not have one previously. The copper piping they installed is so beautiful that we hesitated to put the access panel back! This process took most of the day and Reuben and his crew worked continuously until the job was done. They arrived on time, worked in their socks to protect our newly restored wood floors, the length of time the job took and price for completed work was exactly as the estimate stated. They tested their installations at every phase of the process. When the job was done they took us to all the locations within the house that were affected by this work, explained everything and left their work sites cleaner than when they arrived. Very positive experience. Ruben had a high grade on Angie's List and responded to my e-mail request immediately. He came out to estimate the job within a couple days. He was flexible on his pricing & scope, which I appreciated. As soon as we reached agreement on price and signed proposal, he and his team were out the next day to complete the work. From my perspective, the did a very good, thorough job. The catch basin looks considerably cleaner and the tuckpointing work was impressive, too. They definitely left the work area cleaner than it was beforehand.

I contacted RB plumbing when we had an issue with plumbing not draining from our basement bathroom. They came out within an hour of my call, and unfortunately for me, needed to replace an old pump that had stopped working. It was not a sump pump, but was rather the pump that pumps the drainage from the basement bathroom into the sewage drain for the house. He told me how much it would be, and installed it. He also noticed another leak and fixed that as well, not charging me extra for that. While he was there I asked him to take a look at my laundry faucet which has been stuck. He recommended not loosening that, as he said it was very old, and if he loosened it, it would likely leak and then need to be replaced. I feel he did a good job, was prompt, and I did not feel I was overcharged for his service call.

Excellent workmanship and a perfect sense of urgency. Noticed water heater was leaking at 9:30 am and RB was called. Owner arrived within 20 minutes. Provided job overview and quote. Immediately called staff member for water heater and related needs. Within another 30 minutes they were draining and replacing the unit. Unit was replaced before further water damage occurred. Installed new piping and valving due to age of existing. Home is a 120 year old Victorian. Everything was cleaned up and other than the new water heater, would have not known they were there.

Very well. Ruben and his colleague arrived on time and got right to work. He could have said, "get a new fixture" as a previous plumber did, but he was able to clean and repair it instead. He had to replace some parts along the way and went out, got them, and returned instead of coming back "another day." Altogether, we were more than pleased.

I can't say enough about how great it was to work with Ruben. I was able to get an estimate quickly, and the projected costs came in a full 60% less than another estimate we had gotten for the same work. Ruben was also very knowledgeable and was great about explaining exactly what he would do. Ruben was also very flexible with scheduling, and when he came out he worked very quickly and efficiently along with his brother. He even found a leak we didn't know about during the job and fixed the problem without charging us anything extra. I also appreciated that he walked me through everything he had done at the end of the job. I highly recommend RB Plumbing as a very knowledgeable and very reasonably priced service provider. We will definitely use them again if we have the need for any plumbing work.

Overall, Reuben is an excellent service provider. Friendly and responsive, he does great work everytime. I called him about the backed-up toilets at around 5pm on a Saturday, and he managed to show up 30 minutes later (he happened to be in the neighborhood on another call, but impressive nevertheless). His prices are totally fair and a great value for the overall experience.
