I cannot recommend them enough. The price was fair. They were prompt & pleasant - and I really appreciate that they came out when I needed them even though it was after 5 when I called them. I will use them again without hesitation.

Overall, the plumber stated that only maintenance/rodding is needed to be done every three years. That seems a little too little for me. So once a year, I think we should have it rodded, just in case. It only cost me $225.00, and he noticed that one of the toilets was running (which could increase the water bill). He fixed the run for free and showed me how to fix it in the future! It was a pleasure working with him and there is no way I would not use him for any other needs in the future. :-)

It went well; they patiently waited for me to get organized enough to fix a date, showed up ontime (early!) and answered questions. The work passed inspection. My only twinge of regret would be that one plumber mentioned that it is cheaper to get such work done at a different time of year; obviously you can't ask that once you have already gotten a quote and we just didn't want to have to go through the process of finding different plumbers to get quotes from in the summer. So keep that in mind depending on the type of work you are having done--I do not know if that is in fact the case! But clearly that has nothing really to do with the quality of work or service we rec'd and if his quote was higher than it might have been at another time of year, so was everyone else's....his was the lowest of all the quotes we rec'd (4). Hopefully we won't have to deal with warranty work :)!! But I have no reason to expect any trouble.

They did an excellent job. They did extra work and I would highly recommend them to anyone.

The repair was in our second floor apartment. We were very pleased with the promptness and service performed. The problem that we thought might be major, was quickly inspected and repaired in approximately an hour. As an added benefit, our leaking shower was repaired at no charge. This company is a "keeper" for us, for any future plumbing needs.

Great experience! Called for help on a broken frostproof silcock, arrived within 2 hours. Professional repairs at a fair price. Would recommend to anyone, and have.Thanks again, but I hope I don't have to call any time soon.

THe main line out of our house was backed up and the came out the next day and tried to snake it out but it was impossible. They then realized that the main pipe was cracked and needed replacement which they originally would involve digging up the driveway. When they showed up the very next day, they went through an extensive process of identifying exactly where the block was and it resulted in them not having to dig up the driveway but the ground just next to it. They reduced the price without me asking due to the driveway not having to be dug up. Within hours the water was flowing. They were very professional and personable. Thanks again guys.

Unfortunately, I moved into a house with a bunch of plumbing problems. From your perspective, the good news is that I've tried three Angie's List "A" rated plumbers that serve the N. Chicago suburbs (the other two were M.D. Plumbing and AHS Plumbing). R.B. struck me as the best of the three, though of course it may depend on who you get and how complicated the issue is. Tim did my work today: he was polite, spoke English, showed up earlier than scheduled, seemed knowledgeable and experienced to a layperson (he contradicted something M.D. had told me, but his explanation seemed to me more likely/plausible), was patient about explaining my options to me, and did work that M.D. had also given me a quote for at quite a bit lower cost. I may still get a second estimate the next time I need work just to confirm I am getting the best deal, but assuming they stay well-priced, I will use R.B. again and will ask for Tim again. It's hard to tell how good of a job a plumber does until you've lived with it for awhile, and the work was just done today, but tentatively, my impression of today's work was a solid "A".

The guy told me he would come check it out and call me or email me back with a quote but I have not heard anything from him.

I moved into my house a couple months and started noticing remnants of wet toilet paper on the surface of an outside drain. Not knowing what the issue was exactly, I did my research on Angie's list for a reputable plumber and decided to go with R&B because Reuben sounded knowledgeable and professional on the phone. I suspected I needed my sewer cleaned out due to the size and amount of trees on my lot. Tim and Reuben showed up the same day to investigate and perform the work. They were late to the appointment but they notified me of their tardiness with a call right before my scheduled time. They uncovered a bigger issue at the appointment before mine and were delayed . Tim was courteous and professional when he arrived and apologized again for being late. My suspicion turned out to be the right diagnosis but Reuben also informed me that the sporadic backup is also attributed to an incorrectly installed drainage system with no p-trap and mismatch piping. The long term solution is to reconfigure the drainage system but requires concrete removal. I like these guys because they're professional, honest and polite. I'll call them in the spring to finish the work and do some other plumbing related work. For everyone looking for a good, honest plumber, call Reuben and Tim. I was satisfied with their work and trust that you will be as well.

We had drain/sewer flies in our home for months but didn't know how to get rid of them. We had pest control to spray for them but nothing worked. Finally we were told to call a plumber. The first plumber we called just told us to bleach our sump pump but didn't really seem interested in helping us. Then, we called Ruben at RB Plumbing. He and his team located where the flies were coming from (not the sump pump), used the snake camera and discovered a break in our sewer pipe. They scheduled their crew to come out the next day (Saturday) to get it fixed. They ended up putting a hole in our basement to fix the problem only to discover another pipe was broken under our porch. The porch and landscaping are both new reonovations to our home that were done before we bought it 7 months ago. We deteremined that the sewer pipes got disconnected by the company that did the renovations a couple of years ago. Meanwhile, a big mess was forming underneath our house. In other words, the problem was much bigger than we ever thought it was. But Ruben and his team took care of everything. We felt confident of their abilities and he and his entire crew are professional, pleasant and hard working. They got the job done quickly even working through the rain to get the job completed as quickly as possible. They also did a great job of cleaning up after they were finished with the work. We are very satisfied with the work RB Plumbing did at our home. We would highly recommend giving them a call for any and all of your plumbing needs! We just can't say enough good things about them!

When my kitchen was remodeled 5 years ago, the plumber did not connect the dishwasher correctly to the garbage disposal. He reverse the hot and cold water supply to the sink(Hot was right, Cold was left). Once the old disposal stopped working I decided to get a reputable company to do the work. I read all the positive reviews on Angie's List for R&B Plumbing and decided to give them a call. Called on Tuesday and was given a appointment for Thursday morning. Tim the tech was right on time Thursday morning. I showed him my Angie's list coupon and he applied it to my bill. I showed him the disposal and he advised me that he might have to fix the drain because he did not see a p-trap and the connection was not done right. Once he removed the disposal, he was able to see the connections a lot better and told me he did have to correct the drain and the electrical feed to the disposal which was installed incorrectly. He was able to fix everything under my sink in a timely matter and everything looks great. He also fixed a bathroom sink stopper that came lose. He was very polite and knowledgeable. I have a couple of plumbing jobs and I will definitely call on R&B. It's a pleasure to call on a company that treat their customers will respect.

We were very impressed with his services. He was punctual, organized and skillful. He appeared to be very honest. He told us several times about things that we did not need. He showed us cracks in the pipes and showed us things we did not need to bother with. We had an issue with our bathtub, and he took five minutes to fix a problem where he could have replaced many other parts for no reason. He was very responsible in his honesty with us about our options. For one part of the service, he recommended a landscaper to assist with another issue, even though he could have done it for a higher price. I would highly recommend him. Every time we call him, he answered the phone. He didn't have to do this, but he offered to submit some planning documents to the local government. That was my responsibility, but he offered to assist us with that.

RB Plumbing responded immediately on a Sunday and was able to fix our emergency leak. It was more of a flood than a leak. They were prompt, professional and most importantly they quickly found the burst pipe and fixed the problem. Did I mention that it was a Sunday? RB Plumbing helped us out when others wouldn't and did a great job. We would definitely use them again.

Ruben and his crew did a great job start to finish. After our neighbors had Ruben install an overhead sewer in their house, we gave him a call for an estimate as well (we got 3 estimates) and checked his reviews on Angie's List. Ruben was able to walk us through the work they would be doing without "selling" us on anything. He addressed our concerns and questions while being thoughtful and honest in his approach. The project was completed within 2 days and inspected on the 4th day (based on the inspector's schedule, passed on first inspection). We really hesitated on this big of job being done to our house (built in 1932) but it turned out so well and we are totally satisfied with Ruben and his crew's work. It was the best solution and company we could have picked to get the job done right. We will have Ruben's crew back to work on other plumbing projects in our house.

Great. I didn't expect him to be available so quickly and was so happy he returned so promptly. I thought his price was very fair. He was a very pleasant, knowledgable person to work with on my problem.

First Impression: Mr. Borjas was the second person we contacted for an estimate and our first impression was that he is very professional and knowledgable. He sat down with us answered all of our questions and took notes of any special requests... He explained his reasoning why doing the job in 3 days by section would be the best way to complete this task. Mr. Borjas immediately sent an estimate via email within that same week and called us to confirm if we received it. A reply email was sent to Mr. Borjas informing him that his estimate was received and inquiring on any possible discounts could be applied to the final price perhaps for Angie's list first time users or senior citizens but no reply email was sent. Overall, Mr. Borjas seems to have the knowledge and experience of the person we are seeking for the job. The only issue is that Mr. Borjas does only the plumbing work and does not repair any walls he may need to break to install the plumbing. Making it a little more difficult for us because we'd have to find someone to do the patchwork. At this moment we'd like to find someone that can do both. However, our final decision will be based on experience, price and convenience.

Easy to reach by phone, showed up on time, fixed all my plumbing problems . Was efficient and cleaned up after himself. Price was reasonable compared to big plumbing companies.

Called Ruben out to look at the terrible work I did replacing an outdoor faucet. He gave me a fair estimate and suggested I could probably finish it up myself. He also checked on some supply lines for a sink for me. I felt bad about wasting his time. I'll call him again before I attempt anything that involves soldering copper pipe to avoid the frustration.

This man was very professional & pleasant. More than that he fixed a problem that I had had Village Plumbers come out twice for w/o success. This guy actually analyzed the problem & very quickly. Don't hesitate to call them !

Came out on Saturday afternoon with in 1 hour of Phone call. Told us problem and corrected on monday(parts were not available over weekend). Was an all day Job and completed it very well in a neat and timely manor. They really know what they are doing. Will use them for my plumbing needs. Very satisfied .

We had them out earlier to replace a leaky outdoor faucet, and asked them to give us an estimate on a new laundry sink faucet. They gave us the option of buying it ourselves to save some money, so we did. They came back out on the 18th and replaced the faucet. Very affordable, very punctual (on that outdoor faucet before, they came within about an hour on a Saturday!). We have another appointment with them this week to work on our shower. They're all very professional and very friendly, but the owner is particularly easy to talk to and work with. We consider RB to be "our plumber."

Sent RB plumbing an email requesting estimate for above work. He responded on phone within 1 hour which I felt was a good omen. However it went downhill from there. He advised he would come out the following Weds and look at my situation, advised he would confirm via email. He never did so I called and spoke to Ruben again. He apologized for the mix up and advised he would come out that day at 5 PM. AT nearly 6 PM when he still hadn't arrived I called again. He gave me a story about his truck not working and oh my goodness he also misplaced his notebook with my information, so he couldn't call to let me know of the problem. I have been a police officer for over 20 years, don't bull^&%t me, I know when I am being handed a load.
