I called Raul needing some fast help - sewer work that tore up the front yard had just been completed, and I was about to put the house on the market and needed it to look nice. Raul called me back that evening and said "no problem". And indeed, it was no problem. He came by the next day to take a look and give me a price. The crew was there right on time and had everything finished within a couple of hours. I couldn't possibly have been happer, and the lawn looks great. I'm going to have them return every couple of weeks to keep things looking nice. And if I don't sell the house, they've got a customer for the forseeable future!

We had sod put down twice by R&G, our back yard, and then our front and side yard. The grass they used in the back yard has been great, very hardy, and looks great. The new sod on the side of the house is beautiful. They also replaced a small ivy they accidentally tore out with new ivy after letting us know they accidentally pulled it. Very happy with the results. Only complaint was they were a little late in arriving, they told us Thursday morning and didn't get here until 1pm.

Great service - the team arrived early and were done before my first cup of coffee was even finished. I highly recommend them and would absolutely use them again.

Raul was quick with the estimate and was able to get his crew out within a week to re-sod. They showed up just a little early (nice!) and were thorough. They left a patch empty where they thought we were planting flowers, but when I called Raul to ask about it, he came by and filled in the patch with sod the same day. They did a good job. It's still early, but we love how our lawn looks!

Raul's crew performed and AMAZING job!!!! They were punctual, professional, and extremely hard-working. Especially, in the 90* humid conditions. We made sure we gave them water throughout the days they were working. Raul was also flexible... We had originally intended to use stepping stones from the side of the house to the garage. However, we changed out mind and decided to use pavers instead. He informed me of how much extra it would cost and just did the job. He underestimated how much dirt he would need to pitch the yard. He brought in as much as he needed w/o charging extra. It was truly a pleasant experiencing working with Raul.

Raul returned phone calls promptly. We appreciate that he was conscientious of the weather forecast and offered to schedule our Spring Clean-Up service in advance of the rain storms that were settling in for several days. We were very pleased with this service and will schedule again in the fall.

As is my previous experience, contractor did work well, as requested. He was delayed by the rainy weather, so it took a few weeks to do the work. Yard looks great. Will continue to use this company.

We have had some minor issues, but nothing significant. Last year it snowed, and nobody came out. I called Raoul, and he said we never signed the service agreement. Although we had used them the year before and thought it was understood we would want to use them again, since no contract was signed, they did not come out. This was an easy solution, since I verbally confirmed with Raoul that we wanted to use them again. He faxed the contract, and I faxed it back signed. Raoul is very easy to communicate with and calls you back almost right away. If you have any complaints or questions, he is willing to work them out with you. Also, there were some days when it snowed, and nobody came out, but we were still charged. I addressed these issues with Raoul, and he was willing to work with me to adjust the charges.

He does an excellent job. He gave me an estimate for the winter clean up and was well worth the money that I spent. He was much cheaper than the other companies I have seen and did a much better job than I have seen in a long time. I will definitely continue to use him in the future.

Raul came out and gave me a quote very promptly. Due to bad weather, the work was not started for several weeks. When we scheduled the work, Raul's crew showed up promptly and worked diligently until finished. The walk looks great.

Spoke with Raul and scheduled an appointment for him to come to our house for an estimate for weekly lawn services. He never showed up. Whats worse is that he didn't have the courtesy to call to cancel or reschedule either. We just sat and waited for him. Didn't answer his phone. Nothing. DO NOT RECOMMEND. What kind of company can he be running, if a basic principle such as communication with a customer is overlooked?

Raul came out within 2 days to take a look at the property and give me a written estimate for the work. He quoted the one time spring cleanup which we did as well as ongoing monthly service which we declined. Unfortunately he forgot to quote me how much it would cost to clean up the flower bed but he remembered the house the next day when I called and gave me a quote over the phone. I was not home when the work was performed but it looks great. I am very satisfied with the work performed and thought it was a good value.

I wanted sod removed to plant perennials. I've done it and it's very hard work. I got a very reasonable quote from them, they came when they said they would, did the work and were gone before I got home. The second time I asked them to add compost to the soil and till it in, which they did very nicely.

Pretty good. I started in the middle of the season so did not have a written contract which this year I do. they trimmed bushes that I didn't want trimmed and cut back ground cover that I wanted to spread. This year I am just going with the lawn service so I expect that I will be more satisfied. I have a small city lot and paying 140 a month to cut grass and edge seems high but I have not found lower rates so I guess it is market value.

Very prompt response to our initial call. Out the next day to provide quote. Completed work in a timely and satisfactory manner.

In 2007-2008, Raul did not ask me to sign any contract after he met me at my house, but started his summer crew right away. These guys did a good job with the lawn service, were reliable, and even came in rainy weather. However, they did put down a pesticide. But when it started snowing, it seemed that we were at the end of the shoveling schedule. Some days we'd wait until 2 P.M. to get the car out of the driveway; but my husband or friends would end up shoveling us out because the service hadn't come and we had an appointment. Raul and I talked about this problem. He stated that we had to pay regardless, since the crew did eventually come. And we did pay for those days. Apparently, in an effort to solve the time problem, the company started using a truck to plow the driveway (instead of using a snow blower and shovels, like before). I didn't say anything to Raul, but the truck, being too wide for our driveway, damaged our roses and some other bushes. It also packed the snow, rather than removing it, resulting in an icy surface. Unfortunately, we have to walk down our driveway to get from the house to the garage, and from the house to the sidewalk. And if I fall, I can be in big trouble physically. So that truck was not a good solution. This spring, I signed a contract for 2008-2009, and wrote a written request for no fertilizers, herbicides, etc. I requested snow removal service again. I mailed it to Raul with the changes, but never received a signed copy from him. However, he started service on time in the spring and the crew did a fine job all summer and fall. This winter, snow fell and...no Raul. I called him, left a message, and he called back, telling my husband that we don't have a contract! I can't understand that, since he's been working for us since last spring! I called two or three more times, leaving messages on the answering machine, telling him that we want to continue with his service, but would prefer that he use the snow blower and shovels this year instead of the snow plow. No response. This has left us in a terrible position because it is too late to get someone else to remove snow. I used the snow blower once and ended up in physical therapy. And I fell. Now, my husband with his heart condition is shoveling. I feel that Raul's company should work with us for the entire year, not just the summer, because we have a history of him removing our snow and it was written on the contract.

I thought they did a great job. At first when they finished they did not put edging on either sides and our neighbors were complaining, so I called them and they came back the next day to fix it. We have not had a problem since.

They returned my call the same day and came out the following day. They did a nice job. Because my lawn mower had broken, I told them I would need their service through the end of the season, but they did not come out the following week. After I called to clarify my need for ongoing service, they have been taking care of my lawn every week. I like the fact that they do not cut my grass too short. When it is cut too short in very hot and dry weather, the grass gets brown.

They were efficient and prompt. Unfortunately, the tree we received was not the one that we wanted, and some of the boxwoods have some dead areas. Otherwise, great service!

Very professional, punctual. Met with me to go over the work and the options, submitted a bid, etc.

Raul was professional, showed up on time, and prepared a written estimate. His workers did a great job and transformed the place.

This was a small job, but they did fine work. R & G Landscaping was responsive, punctual, efficient and neat. They really did a great job making things look tidy (especially nice since we had a mud pile in our front yard for soo long). We will have more landscaping work that needs to be done next year and we will definitely call them. This was a great test run!

They were bringing their big machine in our gate and damaged the gate and broke a step. The price is right and they are very good at the basic work such as cutting the grass.

Raul was extremely responsive and professional in handling our request for an initial estimate, and we haven't been disappointed yet. They faithfully show up every Tuesday to mow and edge our lawn, trim shrubbery, weed flower beds, etc. Optional services like aeration, fertilizing and fall cleanup cost extra but are also reasonable.
