Description of Work: Design and install 4 reach-in closets and a pantry.

Description of Work: I was referred to Quality Custom Closets from a colleague of mine at work. I initially reached out to Doni at QCClosets for a consultation. He came to the house, late, and measured my closets. He then followed up, another week later than promised, with design drawings and AutoCAD features that were very cool. Doni sent me a bid, we agreed upon the price and schedule a day of installation. The entire install process took 1 day and the quality is very good. HOWEVER, beware . . . I was not home when the closets were installed and the owner / operator told my fiancé the price was $560 MORE than what the bid was that he quoted me (she did not know). We wrote him a check and he cashed it the very next day. When I got home, I saw that the check was cashed for $560 MORE than what I was bid. I reached out to Doni in March and he immediately admitted that he mistakenly over changed me. It is now middle of May and I still have not received the funds back after several false promises. Additionally, his responses turned very surly stating that “my emails stating I would file a claim don’t scare him”, “good luck”, and “I’m lucky that he is being nice and not keeping the money.” I gave Doni one last week to return the funds and even offered to PAY for the shipping out of the money that he owed me. They money has not arrived and he has even told me that “he put the check in the mail,” which he did not. The service, organization, business ethics, and complaint about “stealing” my $560 are unacceptable. I live in a high rise and it is too bad because if he had any customer service I would’ve gladly referred him to my entire building. BUYER BEWARE. I would not recommend or use this at all and will be filing a claim against him for my funds.
