Eric did a fantastic job. I just bought this condo, and previous owners had used some plastic hose to connect a new stove to the natural gas feed, which was a dangerous situation, according to the home inspector. The hose was fed through cabinets, so there were a couple 90-degree turns, but Eric was able to replace the hose with iron piping with minimal fuss. He did have to drill a couple new holes in the cabinets, but all the old holes except one are inside the cabinets, and the one on the outside is largely hidden. Eric also capped off the gas line feeding the gas fireplace in the living room. I didn't need it, since it appears the chimney has been bricked off anyway.

Excellent, fast work. He was able to schedule me in the evening the next day. He also identified a pre-existing issue with our flexible oven gas connector and repaired it at no charge. I would recommend!

We could not have been happier. He is extremely responsive - calling me back within 2 hours of leaving a voice mail. He was able to come out to our house the same day that I called to make an appointment. He is full of energy, is extremely professional, and very knowledgeable. He has worked in the gas industry for 30 years and is very comfortable working with just about anything that uses gas. It can be hard to find people who are competent, polite, and efficient. Eric exceeds at all three. I will happily refer him to anyone that asks for a recommendation and will definitely be calling him again.

It went brilliantly, he came and replaced the igniter, tightened up the hookup to the natural gas line and verified the fix. He came prepared to clean the grill, but as I had already done that, he didn't try to sell me on doing it anyway. I called him on a Saturday, and even though he's not near my area; he managed to get out to do the fix on the next Monday. He was prompt in answering when I called on Saturday, and even though he wasn't able to commit, he asked me to followup on Monday at noon, which I did, and he was out 3 hrs later. Recommended for no nonsense grill repair!

When Todd of All Safe Fred's Grill blew us off, after waiting 3 weeks for an appointment, without a call or even a return of my call, we called Eric Perrin. He was personable and prompt ... coming out the very next day. See above section for what he did. After waiting 3 weeks to be blown off with an "F" performance, Eric's "A" professionalism was well embraced.

The entire install took less than two hours and saved me a ton of trips to Home Depot and the ER! He clean up afterwards and did not destroy any of our plants. I could not believe the price, Eric saved me enough to by steaks for a month AND I'm grilling this afternoon. This guy is awesome..

It went great. He was so sweet and he went above and beyond. I had a screw out of my door knob, so it kept falling off. He went to his truck and found a screw to fit it.

Eric responded immediately to our call for an estimate, gave us a very fair one (much less than the store selling the gas logs in Evanston) and came a few days later to install it. We chose coals rather than logs because we did not like the fake look of the latter. Installing the pipe from the basement was a cinch for him, and we had a lovely gas burning fireplace with remote control a few hours later., with no mess at all. Eric is very knowledgeable, very nice and talkative and provides a lot of information. I would recommend employing him over any established business or store without hesitation.

I had a minor gas leak from my stove and called Nicor. They came out and discovered that I had an old brass flex hose that was against code so they capped the line. I found Eric Perrin on Angie's List and called him up and left a message. Eric called me back promptly and arranged to come this morning at 8:00 AM. He lives only 5 min. away. I can honestly say that all of the glowing reviews concerning Mr. Perrin are true: he's a gentleman and he enjoys his work and it shows. In one hour he installed the new extension to the gas line as well as a new flex hose and I'm back "cookin' with gas". I'd call him again in a flash!

Eric was great. He definitely lived up to all his reviews. We had three plumbers give us estimates to run a gas line to convert our wood burning fireplace to a gas one, and they either didn't want the job, or they were just too expensive. (One estimate $1250-1500 and an all day job). I called and he offered to come out right away and said he'd give us an estimate and would do the work right away if we wanted. He came out, looked it over, and gave us a $300 estimate and said he'd do it within an hour. He finished it in45 minutes. Eric came through when others did not want to bother. He was punctual, knowledgeable, and easy to work with. We highly recommend him and would hire him again. If you need anything involving a gas line, call him instead of a plumber.

I needed help getting the gas fireplaces to work. ie getting them started, and the gas started on the wood fireplace. He came in, got everything working perfectly,, was on time, finished quickly, and gave me great advice on how to best use the wood fireplace. it was a great experience

Holy S***. If I could give this guy 10 stars I would. They should have an Amazing button for a review on this guy?.. I bought a fancy condo in River North in December of 2014. After about a month I started smelling a very slight gas leak, after having the Bosch Oven guy come out we determined that I had a gas leak in my flooring. In my head this was a nightmare scenario. This place had a custom build rehab build out where the gas pipe ran under brand new beautiful mahogany flooring up into an island where the oven was. I was petrified that I would have to tear up the floors. In January of 2015, I shut off the gas to the oven because I didn?t want to deal with this issue. By the way, I am a very handy guy and am not intimidated by construction or demo work, I have done it all. I was very worried about this situation so much that I didn?t use my kitchen range for 8 months. So yesterday, I decided I was going to deal with the problem. So I called Perrin Gas and literally the next day Eric was at my house ready to work with every tool needed for the job in his van, he didn?t even what to see a picture before coming or anything, he just showed up. My man Eric, cut through the floors, sub floor and chipped out the concrete flooring just enough so he can turn the gas elbow enough to tighten the leak. Done in 2 hours? BOOM! Eric is really the man, this guy worked at Exelon for 20+ years and retired from there. He then decided to start this business. When talking to him, he said there hasn?t been a problem he didn?t solve for a customer, ever, and I believe him. I have worked with them all (contractors), at least 30+ over the years and Eric is at the top of my list. Really, excellent response time, excellent work and a great attitude. What a relief to work with a professional contractor. Do yourself a favor call Eric, you won?t regret it.
