He is excellent. The price was reasonable. He didn't overcharge me. He did a great job fixing my gas leak.

We smelled gas in a couple of areas in our home and contacted Eric to inquire about his services. He was able to make it out the very next evening to check for gas leaks. He confirmed that we had some leaks and told us how he could stop the leaks and gave us a reasonable estimate for the work. He was available to do the repairs the same week which was amazing in itself since he was available on such short notice for his initial visit. We however were unavailable until the next week at which time he came and did the repairs. Eric was professional and very friendly. The total price included his initial visit.

Called him early afternoon before Memorial day. Eric came the same day in the evening so that we could entertain over the holiday weekend. Did the entire work in less than an hour and cleaned the grill to boot. He answered all our questions. I dare say it was the finest service experience we have ever had. Don'ts: Don't waste time calling anyone else.Dos: JUST DO IT!

Both my neighbor's and my grill(s) were not properly working and Eric came to my city condo thirty minutes after I initially called him. Eric was extremely professional and knowledgable regarding gas grills and fixed both grills without any issues. Also, Eric came out for the repairs on Memorial Day morning, which was very much appreciated. I highly recommend Eric to anyone and overall an excellent rating.

Eric was fantastic. He restored my gas grill to life, so I didn't have to replace it. He is very professional as well.

I called around 5:30pm on a Friday and they were able to come out the same day and get us going. Quick, very prompt, and professional. I'll definitely be calling them next time!

Eric was very prompt, professional, responsive and take charge. He actually drove through a hail storm to service my grill. This was a first time call. He solved the problem and did a full clean up for my grill. I've added him to my database.

Our gas grill was shooting flames in the front when I was grilling dinner last night. Clearly some repair was in order. Oh, and I'm having 16 people for dinner in two days. And we're grilling. I made a phone call at about 11:30 am. I lucked out, and Eric was finishing another job nearby. He got to my house at about 1:00. He found the problem, fixed it, and also gave my grill a thorough cleaning. The flames cracked and broke one of the knobs, so he ran to the hardware store and found replacements. By 2:00 I was on my way to the grocery store. He was excellent. The job was very thorough and quick. Eric was polite and friendly.

I called Eric at 4:30pm he was at my house at 6pm and was done with work by 7pm He was professional, friendly and knowledgeable. I would absolutely recommend him for any gas related repair. All appliance repair should be so easy!

I was very impressed with the service provided by Eric Perrin. I called him and he came out the same day, in the evening. Arrived promptly on time. He did not do any major repairs for us, but confirmed that we did not have a gas leak from the fireplace which was our main concern. He then fixed something that was not hooked up correctly which was making a strong burning smell come from the fireplace. I did not compare prices, but the cost for the visit seemed very reasonable. I would call him again if we had another problem with this fireplace or other gas appliance.

He was punctual, very personable, and knowledgeable. He explained what needed to be done, and gave me several options to fix the problems.

There was a strong smell of gas coming from the oven of the gas stove. I called Perrin Gas and left a message in the afternoon and had a return phone call early that evening, with a visit the same night! His phone calls were timely and informative as was his visit. He obviously had lots of experience and was very professional and reassuring.

Excellent - Mr. Perrin came out himself late in the evening to look at my gas fireplace. He was very friendly and professional. He was very knowledgeable and spent time demonstrating to me how my gas fireplace worked. He gave me a discount for finding him on Ange's List. I would use him again.

Excellent - I called three companies from Angies list. One never called back, the 2nd one would not give a quote without seeing the job and could not come out for a week. When I called Perrin and spoke with the owner and gave him the specifics (ie. run 150 ft of gas line, hook up to house and termination in the side of chimney, where valve was already installed), he gave me an approximate quote. I had received one other quote through our contractor and it was $800.00 but we woud of had to do all the trenching/digging. I spoke to Perrin Gas on Thursday and explained I would like it done ASAP. He said that could do it, if he got it done on the weekend. He originally said he would arrive Saturday at 12:00 and called us to say another job was taking longer. He showed up about an hour later and gave us a call while in transit. Our experience, his price and willingness to get the job done immediately (2 days after our initial discussion), quality of job was all excellent!!!

Mr. Perrin quickly diagnosed the problem, and then went through lengths to find a replacement part. The grill is now working better than ever.

When I contacted him by phone, he answered promply. I was impressed with his knowledge and experience -- very pleasant and professional. We agreed on a price, and he came out the same evening. He safely removed the old post-type natural gas grill and installed the new grill with flexible tube type of hookup within an hour. Highly recommended, no negatives here.

We called Eric on Wednesday to discuss a gas leak that had our gas turned off to our upstairs rental apartment. He was busy for a few days, but he showed up on Friday and searched all over for the leak. He let us know that the leak had to be behind the wall or ceiling. He told us that he would come back over the weekend and help us find the leak, and he gave us a good strategy for identifying where the leak was by tying into the gas line for my apartment.. He also showed me how to test the meter again if we thought we had it fixed. In the end, I worked with my skilled father to repair the piping, but Eric's expertise definitely helped us to fix the leak in a short manner.

I scheduled Mr Perrin the same day, he showed up on time, took about two hours to inspect appliances which had recently been partially submerged. He got the furnace working again, without any major repairs.

Our gas turned off midday on Wednesday. Turns out our meter and the meter for the unit below us were swapped. So when the people living in unit below us moved out, they cut our gas off. When People's Gas came out to check it out, they had to check all of our appliances. Turns out our fireplace was out of code because it had a flexible pipe running from inside the fireplace to the shut off valve on the other side of the wall. So People's Gas shut our gas off until it was up to code. Well I needed someone fast. After searching on Yelp and Angie's List and calling some plumbers/gas experts, I talked to Eric Perrin. I knew right away he was the man. He was very confident about what needed to be done and gave me an estimate for the work (which was higher than what he ended up charging me). He came that night after 8PM and fixed the issue in an hour (which included breaking through a wall). He removed the flex pipe, fitted a new black pipe from the shut off valve to the fireplace. He cleaned up everything too. I had People's Gas come back the next morning and signed-off on the fix and the gas was back on. I can't recommend Eric enough for any gas issues (fireplaces, appliances, hot water heaters, etc.

I would highly recommend them. He came out the next day and he fixed it right away. It was very well done. They were prompt and came when he said he would come. He was very quick to respond. He was actually delayed and wasn’t there when he said that he was going to be.

Called Perrin Gas and spoke to Eric (owner), he was in the middle of a job when I spoke to him, so he had to call me back. I told him what I wanted done and gave me a rough estimate. He arranged to come over to Schaumburg the next day. He called prior to coming over. The thing that I appreciated most is the fact that he looked over and inspected the current set up and where the different branches of the gas line are before starting anything. By doing this, he found a line that he can tap into, rather than installing a whole new line! Despite the close quarters he had to work with - gas line was running along the basement ceiling and was straddling 2 closets, we was able to run the line up to the new location in the kitchen. Eric installed a new shutoff. He also removed the old shutoff and did a "clean" cap off. Tested his work and cleaned up. Safety was definitely a priority in his work. He is very friendly and all the while explained what he was doing. Cost was less than his original estimate. Definitely will call on him again for any "gas" related work.

Smelled a smal bit of gas near a pipe. Called him in the morning and he was here later in the day. Not a compex job but he had the right tools to detect the leak, fix it and confirm that the leak was fixed. Really a great guy that was very friendly and professional. I would use him again for repairs or for running gas lines.

It went really well. Would definitely use his service again as he was thorough and explained to me the choices that were available in a respectful manner. Did the job as promised even coming back on a Sunday to finish up and bring a part that was needed. Very good service and friendly manner. Will use his services again if we ever get far enough down the to do list to get the fireplace converted to gas logs.
